I have three more followers this week. Thank you for following me. I sold 32 books in September and hoping to double in October. Currently, this is my only source of income, I could use your help.
I have been learning about marketing my book to obtain more readers. There are several YouTube tutorials for Facebook, Goodreads, and Amazon advertising. Some say to do one thing while another says to do differently. I am trying both where I can. One of the tutors mentioned having my followers to put my books on their Want to Read list. If you have read either book, please rate it and maybe even leave a review. It will help a great deal in promoting my books.
Also, I learned about List in Goodreads. This is where my followers or any reader can add my book to a list and vote on it as being the best. List is found under the Browse button at the top of your home page. In my research this week, I discovered the sub-genre of Urban Fantasy for The Nonentity. Urban Fantasy takes place in the current or past century and involves elements that go against the natural world. This would be the best place to list my book. Thank you in advance.
I am still waiting on the final book cover design for The Genuine Daughter that bring the best of both book covers that my friends and I liked. Hopefully within the next week, I can approve the cover and enter into KDP and finish the book. I will then order a proof copy to ensure the book is ready and have it published by the end of the month. I have an event listed for its release, keep an eye open for it.
The fighting Son is complete but want to read it over one more time before sending to editor. I will accomplish this in the next week. This is the third in the trilogy of flying people books. It should come out in December or January if everything goes well on it.
There still a free Give-away for The Six Loves of Jack Brown and it end on October 8, 2020. If you have not read this book, here is a chance for a free E-book. This book is more of a Relational or Love category if you want to vote on it.
Finally, one tutor suggested weekly blogs while another said monthly. Which do you prefer?

I have 19 followers total and appreciate every one of you. I hope it was a good week for you.
I took a webinar class this week on advertising on Goodreads. It was very informative. I made some changes and took advantage of Goodreads offering. I am not sure if you noticed but there are more changes to come.
The Genuine Daughter is due out next Friday. It is the sequel to The Nonentity. Dannie adopts The Nonentity as her dad and discovers powers of her own. As she fights evil on Earth and Demons from another dimension, her power exceeds the unnamed flying man while maintaining her role as wife, mother, and restaurant owner. She has a very complicated life.
The Fighting Son is in editing and should be back to me in early November. This is the third in the flying people stories. I have set the release date for January 31, 2021.
If you have questions for me, feel free to post them and since I am on Goodreads almost every day, I will try to answer them. If you have a question, someone else might have the same question or it will trigger them into wanting to know.
Hope you all have a good week of peace, joy and love in the Lord.

This week has had slow sales but I am learning how to market my book through social media. I joined Pinterest and Tumblr in hopes of expanding my market. This month has brought some surprises. Goodreads continue to provide me with several avenues to reach out to potential customers as I joined several groups. Still not sure how to communicate with them but I keep trying. Author's Den is a place where authors can talk about their books and even allow me to share my short stories written over the years. Their analytics allow me to see how many looked at the stories as well as those who viewed my published books. there are countless other sites to show case my work some free and some with a nominal price.
The Genuine Daughter officially goes on sale on Halloween. This is the sequel to The Nonentity. I will start publicizing more this week. The preorders are available. This book touched me inside because I have a daughter and hate to think of people growing up the way she did. I also could not be more proud to see her overcome her upbringing to become very successful in life. Her heroics in this book are far more than the supernatural ability given to her by god.
This week has been about my short stories and reviewing them and updating them. Some of them written early need a lot of work. I can tell the improvement in my story telling from when I started. I am hoping to gather the updated stories an publish them into a book next year. They are a collection of humor, drama, and romantic stories. The reviewing of them this week really varied my emotions.

I am new to this blogging and became carried away on promoting the books and not myself. Part of learning marketing of the books is learning to brand my name as well. With that being said, I am not talking about my books this week, but will give a small recap next week.
One of the joys I have in life is cooking. I discovered early in life, it came naturally to me. It is a joy to watch people eat what I have prepared without saying a word until they are done because they enjoy it so much. It is even better when they complement the meal and my head grows two sizes. With this in mind, I am sharing one of my favorite recipes.
Tex-Mex Beef (note can substitute pork butt or chicken of equal weight)
14.5 oz. Can of diced tomatoes
4 oz. Can of diced green chilies
4 oz. diced onions
3 – 4 cloves Garlic
1 Tsp. Cumin
1.5 tsp. Chili power
1 tsp. Chipotle power or two medium Jalapenos diced fine
2 tsp. Salt
1 oz. lime or lemon juice
3 lbs. Chuck roast
Mix ingredients in a slow cooker and stir smooth. Add meat and simmer for six hours turning the meat after three. Pull meat from broth, skim fat from surface, and shred meat with a fork. Add meat back to broth and taste for seasoning. You can brighten the flavor with some fresh jalapenos. Serve with rice or tortilla bread. It makes a great pot luck dish. If you want it hotter, add a couple cayenne peppers to it.

Daddy’s Daughter
Hello everyone,
My college-age child is a daughter. When young, she was a complete Daddy’s daughter. I read to her, bathed her, and generally looked after her upon coming home from work. In fact, mom found her day done when I came home. We watched the Food Network, Jeopardy, and several children's shows in the evening before reading and bedtime.
Her grandmother bought her all the princess books from Disney and we would read those before bedtime. Of course, my throat hurt after making all the different voices but it was well worth it. However, if in conversation I missed the name or story about one of the princesses, my daughter would quickly correct me. Don’t mess with her princesses.
At age five, she and I stripped the front porch rail of paint and painted to look new again. My daughter squished spiders and watch shows about snakes. Helped her learn how to ride a bike and fly a kite. I used an old fishing pole with couple hundred feet of a four-pound test line to fly it high into the sky.
I made the mistake of blinking one day and now she travels to college every day. She doesn’t squish bugs and runs away from spiders. Just the mere mention of a snake will make her jump. I haven’t read anything to her since she was six and have not watched anything on television in ten years. She has many great hobbies like knitting and other artsy work which make me proud. Under everything she is or the amazing things to come, I know deep down, she is still my Daddy’s Daughter.
Did I mention, my dog is a Karen? The other evening just after supper, mom came down for her after-dinner tea. Her fur baby followed her as usual. The first of the month she gives her baby a treat that we call a toothbrush. It’s designed to clean her teeth as she chews. Instead of waiting until her water became hot, my wife pipes up, “Who wants a toothbrush?”
Ginger goes crazy at the sound of the words and the tone in the voice. “What do you have to do?”
Ginger races upstairs and waits for her treat. However, she is a Karen and after two minutes of Karen time or “Forever,” she races back down the stairs with a glare wanting her treat. She runs so fast, she slips into the wall upon reaching the kitchen tile.
“You have to wait upstairs” mom sweetly calms her in a spoiling voice.
So upstairs she runs again. A minute later back down this time with a Karen cry of, “Urry ruu” or “hurry up” for those of you who don’t speak dog. Finely the tea kettle whistle and mom takes her the treat.

Christmas Love
Hello everyone,
The Christmas season came upon us again. Our family began last Friday when my wife and daughter rearranged our living room for the tree. It seemed strange to me that the tree can never be in the same spot two years in a row. This rule of decorating remained out of my comprehension throughout our marriage. The two spent the day transforming a normal room into a Christmas oasis with a mix of Biblical and secular decorations.
Saturday found myself and my daughter adorning Christmas lights across the front of the house. Unlike the inside, we tried to remember how we hung the lights from the year before. My favorite daughter climbed the ladder and strung the lights on the porch eves. She was the architect designing for color and style while I, the engineer made sure the power levels did not exceed capacity. We finished as the sun disappeared over the horizon.
The decorating represents the celebration of Christmas. However, the meaning of Christmas comes from remembering the birth of our Lord and Savior. Christ's appearance shows everyone that without love all the rules of the Old Testament are meaningless. His constant message in our lives today is about loving God with all your heart and he boldly adds for us to love our neighbor as ourselves. During this Christmas season, we need to live this imperative lesson.
As we interact with friends, family, and even people we meet coming and going in the busiest of times, do so with the love of Jesus in our hearts and in our actions. In the Bible, the word love is an action verb. It is something we are to do. Moreover, it is a way of life in that all we do is done with love. This love may show itself as little as holding a door for someone to help a financially strapped person out of debt.
Did I mention, my dog is a Karen? Ginger helped (for the lack of a better word) decorate the living room last Friday. She saw her job as to sit on the furniture while the women move it. Sometimes she sat up proud and other times she lay prone as if to say it was not moving. Ginger wanted to complain to the manager, but it was manager mom doing the moving so she just grumbled every time they wanted her to move.
The Christmas design of the living room put the largest couch against the panoramic window out the front. Normally she laid on the couch with an eye out the window to appease her favorite pastime of barking at anything that moves. For several days after the move, she paced around the house and when she did lay on the couch, it was with great grumblings, moans, and groans. Karen was not happy about the change.
