On Negative Reviews

I knew, in an abstract sense, that authors have fragile egos. It's inevitable, when you pour your heart into creating something, that you want people to respond positively. A Milestone

Today, including all titles and platforms, I sold my 500th book, not counting free downloads. This comes just under a year since the first ebook edition went live, in February 2011. I call that a modest success, with an average of about 40 books sold per month, and I hope to build on it in [...]

New Year's Eve Update

So 2011 draws to a close, and 2012 looms: a brand, spanking new year, full of potential! I can't wait to get started. This was an amazing year, full of challenges. I published my first three novels in a whirlwind of eagerness, and finished my fourth. I learned my lesson about moving ahead too fast, [...]

Sunset 2nd ed. now live

Sunset just got named one of the best vampire fiction releases of 2011, by the Barnes and Noble SciFi and Fantasy Blog.  So, why did I feel the need to have it re-edited?  In part, because after two years of writing as a second profession, I learned how many elementary mistakes in sentence structure, cliched [...]

AHHHHHHHHHHH!  Paul Goat Allen of Explorations: The Barnes and Noble SciFi and Fantasy Blog rated Sunset one of the best vampire releases of 2011! How did that happen?! What he said specifically was:  "Arshad Ahsanuddin's Pact Arcanum saga (Sunset, Sunrise, et. al.) was also a far from perfect read but the ambitious, grand-scale, science fiction [...]
