Where to Eat in Resorts World Genting: Motorino SkyAvenue
Being somewhat a global village when it comes to food, there are plenty of pizza places in Malaysia, but here’s sharing with you one of my favourite pizza place; Motorino.
This pizzeria is located at the newly opened SkyAvenue in Resorts World Genting and as of writing, it is one of the most raved about pizzeria in SkyAvenue. This Brooklyn and East Village pizza place has New York Times food writers hailing it as the best authentic Neopolitan Italian pizza restaurant in New York.
Take a look at the short video to get a better idea of Motorino Pizza. Motorino is owned and operated by Belgian-Italian born chef Mathieu Palombino who makes Neapolitan-style pizza in wood ovens imported from Italy.
Motorino is unique in the sense that they have open kitchen and patrons can actually watch the entire process of the kitchen crews making pizzas.
During my most recent visit, I was given the privilege to a brief interview session with the man behind Motorino itself; Chef Mathieu Palombino, The Maestro Pizzaiolo of Motorino Pizza. You may read more about him HERE.
So, what to order when you dine here? Well, Motorino pizzeria in SkyAvenue offers more than just pizzas. They have antipasti, desserts and refreshingly concocted beverages too but I won’t be touching that in this write up and will just concentrate on their wonderful Neopolitan pizzas so that you know what to expect when you hop over.
A Selection of Pizzas at Motorino Sky Avenue, Malaysia
Diners can take their pick from nine stellar favourites, which range from the stripped (marinara, margherita and pepperoni) to the supremely Italian (stracchiatella with basil, sea salt and extra virgin olive oil; cremini mushrooms, and colatura di alici featuring cow’s milk mozzarella, red onions, grape tomatoes, white anchovies and sea salt). Also on offer is a Brussel sprout pizza with fior de latte, garlic, pecorino and smoked turkey bacon; cherry stone clam pizza and an egg, turkey chili variation.
To add to your gastronomic excitements? Motorino SkyAvenue also offers over 20 toppings that can be added on to existing pizzas. These include Brussel sprouts, two kinds of anchovies, fresh arugula, buffalo mozzarella and fior de latte (fresh mozzarella made with cow’s milk as opposed to buffalo milk), along with other more conventional ingredients such as turkey, pepperoni and clams. However, purists say that each Motorino pizzas is perfect as it is.
Here’s some all time favourite masterpieces from Motorino: Pepperoni, Del Popolo, Meatball, Amatriciana, Arugula & Bresaola, Cherry Stone Clam, Magherita and Marinara.
Margherita Pizze A vital element of Motorino’s pizzas is not overloading the pie with toppings. Believing that less is definitely more on pizzas, this is without a doubt applicable to the classic Margherita Pizza. Sometimes the simplest ingredients, combined in the simplest of ways, have the power to erase your woes and send you into a world of peaceful bliss. Such is the power of the Margherita pizza. Fresh tomato sauce, chewy mozzarella cheese, some fresh of basil on a crispy crust oiled with extra virgin olive oil was simply divine to have. An ultimate comfort food that can never go wrong.
Marinara Pizze. The pizza’s name, Marinara takes its name from the marinai, or sailors, for whom it was first baked in the 18th century. It is a pizza pie with no cheese and I think Marinara pizzas reflects the skill and passion of a pizza maker’s ability to evoke deep flavors from such simple and very basic ingredients. This traditional Marinara Pizza from Motorino has tomatoes crushed, or blended, sliced fresh garlic, fresh oregano, extra virgin olive oil and maybe some sea salt to taste. This pizza is all about the tomatoes, garlic, oregano and the extra virgin olive oil. Marinara pizza not only allows the skill of the pizza maker to come through, but really showcases the quality of the individual ingredients. A must try if you appreciate refreshingly basic tasting pizzas. Margherita pizzas by Motorino guarantees hassle free gastronomic experience.
Pepperoni Pizze , a classic all time favourite. A pizza pie with tomato sauce base topped with beef pepperoni, mozerella and pecorino cheese and accompanied with a few dash of extra virgin olive oil, and a hint of fresh chillies and sea salt, Pepperoni Pizze hits all the right notes: meaty, spicy, a little sour and goes really well with the cheesy thin crust. Highly recommended for those who are looking for comfort in familiarity and doesn’t want any strange surprises in their pizzas.
Del Popolo Pizze pie has tomato sauce base and is simply topped with mozzarella cheese, parsley, olives, onions and cured anchovies. Those who are not familiar with anchovies might find cured anchovies toppings is a tad overwhelming on the palate, but pizza lovers who loves extra flavours can this one a go.
Meatball Pizze is simply a pizza pie with tomato sauce base topped with chicken meatballs, mozzarella cheese and basil. A modern rendition of traditional Italian pizza. Children will find this one especially pleasing, I have no doubt.
Amatriciana Pizze. Pizza alla matriciana is a version of Italian pizza topped with traditional Italian pasta sauce based on guanciale, pecorino cheese, and tomato, but Motorino’s version has chicken sausage, scallions and some fresh chillies on it. This classic pizza takes its spiciness from the fresh chillies and its depth of flavor from the chicken sausage. Rich with unique and intense flavour, the pizza offers immense satisfaction to pizza lovers.
Arugula&Bresaola Pizze . Not the pizza that I’m familiar with. I’m usually a religious subscriber to the all time great Pepperoni Pizza. This is my first time chancing upon an Arugula&Bresaola pizza. The pizza is topped with bresaola. Bresaola, which originated in the mountains of Lombardy, is made by salting beef and allowing it to air-dry for several weeks. The air dried and salt-cured beef tenderloin are nicely arranged on top of the pizza and was accompanied with fresh arugula leaves alongside with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Strong tasting, meaty and flavourful, this pizza is great for those who appreciates intense flavours on the palate.
Cherry Stone Clam Pizze. One of Motorino’s unique signature is this; Cherry Stone Clam Pizza. It is basically a simple pizza topped with mozzarella, garlic, parsley butter, olive oil, and shucked clams. Squeeze a wedge of accompanying lemon slice on top of it and you’ll be screaming perfection in no time.
Pizzas in Motorino are baked in a special wood-fire oven at 800-900’Celcius. The small mouth and low dome of the ovens actually gets the pizzas cooked in 60 to 90 seconds and therefore, there’s no such thing as a long wait at Motorino. All pizzas are sent to your table at a timely manner.
The pizzas featured above are equally good and individually unique in their own ways, but my personal favourite from Motorino is Pepperoni Pizze and Amatriciana Pizze. I love flavourful pizzas. They’re not only comforting but makes me feel happy as well.
Prices per pizza ranges from RM48- RM64. Genting members may enjoy slightly lower price.
If you are a huge fan of pizzas and haven’t visit Motorino in Sky Avenue, Resorts World Genting, then you might wanna do so soon. The hype is real. The pizzas are magnificent.
Motorino SkyAvenue is located at Level 1, Sky Avenue. Operation hours is from 10 am to 10 pm daily. For more information, please call 03-6101 1118 or visit www.rwgenting.com.

Chef Mathieu Palombino, The Maestro Pizzaiolo of Motorino Pizza
During my most recent visit to Motorino SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting, I was given the privilege to a brief interview sesssion with the man behind Motorino itself; Chef Mathieu Palombino, The Maestro Pizzaiolo of Motorino Pizza.
Yours truly and Chef Mathieu Palombino, the owner and Maestro Pizzaiolo of Motorino Pizza. For those who are not familar with the term ‘pizzaiolo’, it is actually an Italian word used to refer to pizza makers.
Quoting Chef Mathieu Palombino,
Motorino is, in Italian, a word for “scooter.” It’s an extension of the word “Motori,” which means motor or engine. It’s a little motor, little engine, which is what they use for “cool.”
Chef Mathieu Palombino doesn’t like huge pizzerias and prefers the homey pizzerias, similar to those pizzerias in Italy. “This is going to be a very simple experience. I want you to come in, sit down, order a pizza and enjoy your meal.” he said. Chef Mathieu Palombino is passionate about what he does and can often be seen experimenting with food in the kitchen.
Delving into his background, Chef Mathieu Palombino was trained in the most haute of French traditions, Palombino worked in Europe before moving to New York. He was chef de cuisine at BLT Fish when it was given three stars in The New York Times by Frank Bruni in 2005. But for many years Palombino dreamed of making pizza in an intimate restaurant of his own and therefore he did so; and now there’s plenty of Motorino outlets scattered around the world.
When asked about the challenges and his experience in opening Motorino in SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting, Chef Mathieu Palombino says there’s not much challenges in establishing Motorino in SkyAvenue, and that Genting Malaysia has been a very good partner since the very beginning. According to Chef Mathieu Palombino, he have no immediate plans so far to open more Motorino outlets in Malaysia.
Unlike others of his generation who tends to find working with younger generation and millennials challenging, Chef Mathieu Palombino loves working with young people. He loves their energy and passion and aspire to inspire more millennials to work in Motorino. He has faith in his pizzaioli, and believes that they will continuosly make the best pizzas for the patrons.
The Belgian-born, French-trained chef, pizzaiolo and entrepreneur Chef Mathieu Palombino believes that all the pizzas in Motorino are delicious in their own ways, but recommends Margherita if one truly wants a taste of true Italian Pizza.

Wearable Artworks: My Sketchbook Shawl by Emma Maembong
I don’t wear hijab on daily basis. I only don hijab if the occasions calls for such dresscode. I do however, have soft spots for beautiful shawls and I usually style them up to pair with my outfits. Shawls are very useful to me, especially when I’m traveling. They not only serve as a fashionable ‘blanket’ whenever I feel cold during those long hours on the bus or on the plane but they make great additions to my limited wardrobe too as I can pair them up with just one plain shirt and yet produces a couple of different looks depending on how you style them. I have plenty of shawls and scarves at home, but a woman can never have enough. I’m constantly on the lookout for pretty shawls to add to my collection and it has come to my attention that a Malaysian artist cum actress, Emma Maembong has launched her shawl collection; My Sketchbook Shawl. Her collections is something worth raving about, I must say.

So what’s unique about her shawl collections? Well, it is common for actors and actresses to come out with their own brand of clothing and use their fame to sell their clothings to their fans but this one’s rather different, as unlike others, the designs of her shawls collections are her very own work of art.
Pic credit to Emma Maembong
A daughter of a painter and a painter by profession prior to her involvement in the entertainment industry, Emma Maembong has produces plenty of artworks on both paper and canvas but never thought to do it on other materials until her family encourages her to draw it on shawls and turn her drawings and paintings into wearable artwork.

Beautiful paintings in various themes
A lovely painting by Emma Maembong on display during the launching of My Sketchbook Shawl.
Emma Maembong donning a piece from her ‘My Sketchbook Shawl‘ collection. Her shawls are unique in the sense that her artworks are printed onto the shawls and they are very limited. This makes the pieces are rather exclusive.
Me and Emma Maembong
All the shawls in My Sketchbook Shawls collections are also syariah compliance and the length and width of her shawls are more than enough to cover one’s aurah, making her collections a perfect choice for devout Muslims to wear. The shawls are not only stylish, but covers one’s modesty as well.

Scalp Treatment and Maintenence at e3 Salon Masjid Jamek
Most people pay a lot of attention on how they look and how they style their hair, but how many of you out there actually care about your scalp? Personally, this is something I don’t really care about until my recent visit to e3 Salon Masjid Jamek.
I had no idea how important it is to maintain a healthy scalp until I was told that unhealthy scalp could not only result to itchiness, but bad circulation as well, which consequently will contribute to hairloss and unhealthy hair.
When I decided to have a makeover at e3 Salon Masjid Jamek, my stylist noticed that my hair lacks volume and obviously started thinning. I admitted to having frequent hairloss, especially when I combed my hair after washing them.
He gave me a little consultation on getting my scalp treated and here’s sharing with you my experience during my visit to e3 Salon Masjid Jamek.
My scalp was scanned by using this scanner machine. This machine enable you to analyse both your hair and scalp condition prior to any makeover that involves chemical that you want to do. It is a common practice in this salon to scan their customer’s scalp and hair before bleaching, dye-ing or even perm their customer’s hair. This is to decide what’s best for customers and to decide if certain hairstyling procedures would agree with them as to reduce the risk of damaged hair or irritated scalp.
Here’s a closeup scan of my scalp. Pretty disgusting looking. Apparently, I had quite alot of dead cells, and accumulating excess sebum in my scalp that contributes to not only itchiness, but hairloss as well. These particles and dead cells clogged up the hair roots and they prevent new hairgrowth. The undesirable things are removed by combing them away by using high frequency comb and washed away by using shampoos that will help treat the scalp and prevent hairloss after dye-ing my hair.
The special combs that’s used to brush away the accumulating dirt on my scalp. The transparent looking one is electronically operated and tune to high frequency to help comb out the dirts and dead skin cells.
Three Selective Professional products are used during the treatment; Selective Professional ON Care Detoxygen Shampoo, Selective Professional ON Care Stimulate Shampoo and Selective Professional ON Care Pure Balance Lotion.
Selective Professional ON Care Detoxygen Shampoo is used for exfoliation, detoxifying and anti-smog treatment, for hair weighed down by smog, excess sebum and dandruff. Thanks to the purifying, protective and anti-polluting action of Moringa Extract it cleanses, exfoliates and stimulates cells renewal, removing excess of sebum and smog residues. It guarantees the correct oxygenation of the scalp, leaving the hair stronger and looking glossier.
Selective Professional ON Care Stimulate Shampoo on the other hand specifically cleanses while rebalancing the physiological process, preventing hair loss and strengthening weakened hair. It also reinvigorates and thickens hair structure.
Here’s reasons why you should treat your scalp regularly:
1. For better hair growth
To prevent hair loss, and allow healthy hair growth, protecting your scalp and its hair follicles is key.
2. For a clean and problem-free scalp
Product buildup and blockage on scalp can give way to major problems such as pimples on scalp or even irritation. Do scalp treatment or scalp detox session every now and then to clear away these impurities. Keeping dirt and excess oil away from the scalp will help with the circulation and encourage healthy hair growth.
3. For healthy hair
Frequent coloring and dyeing can make the hair dull or fried. Regular hair maintenance helps keep the luster and glossy shine.
4. To avoid dandruff
Dandruff happens when excess sebum is secreted by the follicles, leading to an excessively oily scalp. Scalp treatmwnt therapies can also regulate the sebum production, preventing dandruff from occurring.
Here’s sharing with you the video of the entire treatment process.
Don’t take scalp treatment for granted. I’ve been very ignorant and if you think hair maintenance only means going for restorative processes only after your hair has taken damage from the environment, then you are sorely mistaken. Hair and scalp maintenance is as important to your hair as physical exercise and a healthy diet is to your body.
For more information on scalp treatment, you may consult e3 Salon Masjid Jamek. They did a pretty good job on me.

Summer Style Makeover at e3 Salon Masjid Jamek
There’s a saying that goes; “There’s no second chance to make a good first impression”. For what it’s worth, I certainly agree with that saying. How you present yourself to people for the first time usually will have a lasting impression, and therefore, I always believe in dressing up nicely whenever I step out of my house. This might sound really vain and superficial to most, but let’s not be hypocrite. The world is a very visual place and chances are that if you look good, you’re most likely to receive better treatment from people around you than those who doesn’t groom themselves.
Anyway, speaking of self-grooming, I was due for some haircut.
My hair was getting way too long for me to manage and looks rather unruly. And so I decided to have a little makeover. I wanted to cut my hair shorter and go for a more refreshing look.
My choice of salon; e3 Salon Masjid Jamek.
This salon is located just about 5 minutes walk from the Masjid Jamek LRT station in Kuala Lumpur, and is really spacious and equipped with state of art beauty equipments.
Here’s Sam Poon and I during our consultation prior to my makeover. He’s one of the star stylist here at e3 Salon Masjid Jamek. He suggested that I go for the in trend summer style, where my hair will be dyed to a natural- brighter colour and cut to a more manageable length for a fresher, and younger look.
First, I was given a haircut to my desired length.
Then, my hair was coloured after weighing my hair and scalp condition.
Then, it’s scalp consultation time. My scalp was scanned by using a scanner.
Apparently, I had quite alot of dead cells and accumulating dirt in my scalp that contributes to not only itchiness, but hairloss as well. And therefore, these undesirable things are to be removed by combing them away by using high frequency comb and wash away by using shampoo that will help treat the scalp and prevent hairloss after dye-ing my hair. More about that in detail in the next post, so KIV for it.
My hair being dyed
And here’s my new hair colour; Golden Brown. It’s naturally vibrant without looking unnaturally outrageos.
Next, my scalp was treated as to remove all the dirt and dead cells I mentioned earlier to prevent damage and hairloss.
And finally, styling it up.
Sam styled it up as he would do the Japanese Perm to give my hair beautiful natural looking curls.
My hair from the back
This is not permanent, sadly. If I want to perm my hair permanently, I would have to book another appointment as my fine hair wouldn’t be able to take colouring and perming on the same day. It would be quite damaging to do so in one day.
Here’s a video of the entire makeover process, do check it out. Overall I’m really happy with the makeover result. It made me feel much prettier and younger while retaining a natural and professional appearance.
You can drop by e3 Salon Masjid Jamek should you are interested to get a makeover too.The guys in e3 Salon are miracle workers I assure you, and they could turn you into both hot babe and a hunk in no time at all. Haircare Made Easy with Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask
I’m an editor and writer by profession. Sounds boring? Well, perhaps to some it sounds pretty much mundane and lack excitements.
You probably imagined me being stuck in the newsroom or something, but trust me, my job as an editor goes beyond that and it’s pretty hectic and exciting on daily basis. I get to do things that I’m passionate about and everything in my life is on the fast lane. The only downside of my job is that it doesn’t really allow me all the time in the world to groom myself properly. Looking like something the cat dragged in is a no no, as despite of what most people think; where editors just stay in the newsroom and just sit 9-5, I actually need to meet people and interact with them, especially VIPs. I need to attend press conferences and important summits, conduct interviews and make rapport with people from all walks of life and therefore, I need to look pleasant and presentable at all times. Time is always envious of me and I always find myself rushing from one place to another with limited timeframe to groom myself for a few different occasions or events in a day.
Yours truly at the recent Google Cloud Summit Kuala Lumpur 2017. Unlike most ladies who can afford spend up to 1 hour to make themselves look presentable, I can only allocate a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes to put on makeup and style my hair like the picture above.
A closeup at my daily look.
This look is achieved within 10 to 15 minutes. Impossible, you say? Well, it is possible if you know the hacks to it, and here’s sharing with you my secret to styling my hair under 5 minutes Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask.

7. Conditions the hair without weighing it down
8. Detangles the hair and facilitates combing
9. Gives silkiness and softness
10. Smoothens the cuticle
11. Eliminates frizz
12. Protects the hair from heat
13. Facilitates the use of iron and straightener
14. Keeps the set in longer
15. Leaves the hair shining and healthy
Check out my video on how to use the Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask. It’s easy, really. If your hair is damp, spray it on your towel-dried hair from and comb to distribute it thoroughly without rinsing it and proceed with the styling. And if your hair is dry, just use the product to moisturize, freshen up the set and protect the hair. All you need to do is just spray it into your palms, and distribute along the hair, then reset the hair as desired.
This product contains moringa extract and therefore it is is rich in oils and proteins and has strengthening, conditioning and protective properties.
Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask also contains silk proteins and panthenol with hydrating, filming and conditioning properties. The creamy texture penetrates into the hair fibers, maintaining it flexible and full-bodied. Apart from that, Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask also doubles as solar filter and protects the hair from the damaging UV rays. Selective Professional Multi Treatment Spray Mask is usually available at salons and I got mine from e3 Salon Masjid Jamek and came highly recommended by my stylist, Sam Poon.
You can drop by e3 Salon Masjid Jamek should you are interested to get this, or a makeover. Naturally Beautiful with Horien Eye Secret
I wasn’t always vain. In fact, I did not really bother to dress up or even groom myself before I turned 30. Plenty of things happened a couple of years ago just before I hit the big 3 which was quite a good slap on my face for me and I come to realize that it’s not just about presenting yourselves or making a good impression to others, it’s also about liking what you see in the mirror. I did not like what I saw in the mirror back then. I was always tired and frazzled looking. I looked as if I’ve aged way beyond my years, had no confidence whatsoever in myself and was terribly camera shy to the point that I hid away whenever someone wants to take a picture of me.
The world is indeed a very cruel place and is only kinder to those who are visually pleasing and appealing. I know this sounds superficial but not liking how I was treated just because I look somewhat ugly, I decided to change, both in attitude and how I groom myself. I started making effort to dress up and groom myself to look presentable, at least, when I’m in public. And guess what? It changes my life for the better and I learned that I could not only like what I see in the mirror, but love what I see as well.
There are a few things I won’t go without these days; and among them are these; basic makeup items like lipstick, blusher and eyeshadow. And of course, contact lenses. Contact lenses is something I will not go without daily. I’m a contact lenses wearer not just because I am terribly vain but because it is an absolute necessity as my eyesight is really bad and I could only see blurs of my surrounding without my spectacles. I don’t like wearing spectacles. It makes me look ugly and nerdy. Anyway, here’s my latest obsession; coloured contact lenses from Horien Eye Secret. This brand originates from Taiwan and right now it’s a rage in Malaysia.
Horien Eye Secret 3 months Sweetheart 2 tone series. The packaging is rather attractive and cute and I noticed that all their contact lenses’ colours are named after famous cities in the world. The 38% 3 Months Disposable Color Contact Lens is a 3 months disposable color contact lense with 38% of water content. The contact lenses used the Bio-molecule 3D wrap (BMW) color technology which provides smooth surface, thinner lenses, sharper vision and the fact that the cornea is protected from the color additives is definitely a plus. The diameter of the lense is 14.2mm while the BC is 8.7mm. There are 2 types of lenses, which are the 2-tone Sweetheart series and the 3-tone Fantasy series. The one that I’m using is from the 2-tone Sweetheart series contact lenses. There are 4 colours in the Sweetheart series which are Vancouver Pink (2-Pink), Berlin Gold (2-Gold), Kiev Blue (2-Blue) and Madrid Grey (2-Grey), but mine is the Vancouver Pink (2-Pink) and Berlin Gold (2-Gold)
Berlin Gold (2-Gold)

Me, wearing Berlin Gold (2-Gold)
What do you think? This is my summer look with Berlin Gold (2-Gold)
Vancouver Pink (2-Pink)
A closer look at Vancouver Pink (2-Pink)
Me, wearing Vancouver Pink (2-Pink)
Sweet, anime-like character look achieved while wearing Vancouver Pink (2-Pink)
My eyes, with and without contact lenses. Can you see the differences?
These contact lenses made a huge difference in how I look, I have to say. I don’t usually go for warm colours like these as I go for more cooler and striking colours like grey, green or blue as they make me stand out in pictures. But I think this change is pretty good?
Prior to trying these lenses I didn’t think I will like the natural, soft colours like this but a change like this is pretty good as these coloured contact lenses with earthy colour tones highlighted my softer feminine look and made me look sweetly alluring effortlessly. Other plus point about these contact lenses that is easy to put on and is great to wear for long hours too. I’ve worn these for more than 12 hours and my eyes does not feel irritated whatsoever, unlike other brands that I’ve tried. The best part? Well these does not just make me look pretty but it gives me perfect vision as well. I’m definitely going to use Horien Eye Secret contact lenses for a very long time and maybe I’ll grab some from Fantasy series or try out the cooler colour tones from the Sweetheart series next time.

Types of Braces You Need to Know Before Getting One
It’s 4.23 am as of writing and here I am Googling about teeth, cuz these days my teeth doesn’t seems to agree with me. The lower ones feels as if they are moving towards each other and they are uncomfy to the point that they cause me fever every now and then. So, I thought I wouldn’t find any answer but apparently this is fairly common as we age. Well, I guess this is not surprising as I am already in my 30s.
The term for teeth crowding this way is known as ‘mesial drift’. This sounds so cool, right? But it’s not cool, trust me. This can not only be uncomfortable for me but the worst part of it all is that the teeth are getting more and more crooked due to this and I think soon enough I’ll have an ugly smile because of it.
Me and my crooked teeth. I actually hate smiling like this cuz my teeth are not exactly pretty or dazzling white. I’m thinking about getting some teeth straightening done so that my teeth alignment will be fixed by wearing adult braces.
Now, having researched my options, I discovered that there are a few types of braces that we can consider if we’re to fixed our crooked teeth; clear braces
invisible braces, ceramic braces, metal braces and there’s even braces for kids should parents wants to allow their kids straighten their teeth at a young age.
Here’a sharing with you some info about braces, in case you are interested to get them too;
Metal braces
Metal braces are the traditional braces which cemented on the teeth and are connected to one another with a thin metal wire. This wire is designed to put pressure on all of the brackets, thus moving your teeth into their proper place. The use of other types of appliances, such as rubber bands or springs may also be required. Most of the time, traditional braces are adhered to the front of the teeth, but sometimes, depending on the treatment needs, these braces can also be put on the back of each tooth.
Clear braces
Clear braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they have tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in to teeth.
Invisible braces
Invisible braces or more commonly known in the dentist’s office as invisalign is an invisible braces that uses a series of custom-made aligners to straighten teeth without the need for metal wires or bracker to fix the teeth. Each aligner is worn for around two weeks, for between 20 and 22 hours a day, and they should only be removed for eating, brushing and contact sports.
Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces, except that they have tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in to teeth. Some even use tooth-colored wires to be even less noticeable. Retainer to retain the teeth alignment is also required after having these removed.
Cost of braces varies depending wgether it is adult braces or braces for kids, so should you are interested in getting it, please consult your friendly dentist about it.
Here’s recommending a good dentist in Malaysia; 1st Dental Clinic. This clinic is located in Shah Alam. Should you are located in Klang Valley area and is considering about having braces, you can visit this clinic for consultation or visit their Facebook page HERE.
