"My first show with TAD was August of '96. At that point, it was a band in decline. I liken it to stepping on the Titanic about five minutes post-iceberg. And I rode that bitch to the bottom, yeah."

- former TAD drummer Mike Mongrain, in the forthcoming book Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge

Gas Huffer reunite (sort of) for epic radio interview

Hear part one of a two-hour Gas Huffer special for Israeli radio. All four ex-members—Don Blackstone, Matt Wright, Joe Newton and Tom Price—were on the line for a collective phone interview. (Thanks to Matt Wright for the tip.)

Ridiculously excited for the book. Do you stick to the core years of 87-93, or does the history stretch earlier/later?

Thanks for your enthusiasm! The book begins in the early '80s with the Deep Six bands (U-Men, Melvins, Malfunkshun, Green River, Soundgarden and Skin Yard) and ends in the early aughts (or whatever your preferred term for that decade is).
