Hole's Courtney Love on covering Pearl Jam's "Jeremy": "That's when I knew I am not in the best band in the world"

An outtake from my interview with Hole's Courtney Love, in which she discusses covering Pearl Jam's "Jeremy":

"When I had Frances I was in Cedars, and this kid was on the same floor as me—she was pregnant as a young kid—and she had Ten on her Walkman. I was like, [whispers] 'Let me listen to "Jeremy."' I couldn't listen to 'Jeremy' around Kurt, so I would secretly listen to 'Jeremy.' I liked it, I really liked 'Jeremy.'

Bid on a Kamaka Ukulele signed by Eddie Vedder (eBay) or "a remnant of the TAMA bass drum from Nirvana's Dave Grohl's first drum-kit, as smashed on stage by Kurt Cobain at the end of a concert at the Cabaret Metro, Chicago, 12th Oct. 1991, and subsequently thrown out into the crowd" (Christie's).
