How To Organize And Sort Apps In Android Auto
To organize your Android Auto apps, you’ll need the assistance of a paired Android smartphone loaded with Android Auto functionality. By using the Android Auto settings, you can customize how the service launches when its display appears in your car, including how the apps show up.

Open the Settings app on your Android smartphone.
In the search bar, type “Android Auto.”
Tap the first result to open the Android Auto settings.
Under General, tap Customize Launcher.
Tap Launcher sorting.
To sort apps alphabetically, tap A-Z.
To create a custom lineup, tap Custom Order.
With Custom Order enabled, tap and drag on the six dots next to an app in the list to move them to a different spot on the load order.
The apps at the top of your Android Auto list will appear first on your Android Auto display in your car. Therefore, if there’s a particular app you want to make regular use of, move it to the top to put it right at the front on launch.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who has been accused of promoting ‘starvation diet,’ shows lotions, milk in fridge
Gwyneth Paltrow, who has been accused of promoting a “starvation diet” in the past, gave fans a glimpse into her refrigerator this week, which included a variety of milks and moisturizers along with some food.
The 50-year-old actress said she had recently gotten a lot of questions about what she keeps in her fridge during “ask me anything” sessions on social media.
“This is really the kind of stuff I have in my fridge,” the Goop founder said in a video posted to the company’s Instagram page on Friday, admitting that she had “cleaned” it up before opening it to public scrutiny.
The “Emma” star first pointed out heavy cream, half-and-half, regular milk and almond milk inside the fridge.

We “span the spectrum of milks here in the old Paltrow-Martin family,” she noted.
She also said she had some of her “favorite” drinks in there, including iced teas, tinctures, wine and coconut water, which she said her son loves.
As far as food, there was coconut yogurt, “which I love” and “some leftover butter chicken, some leftover veggie burgers from lunch” and zucchini fritters from what she called “boyfriend breakfast.”

Paltrow revealed she often eats bone broth for lunch and mostly veggies for dinner in a March podcast. After being accused of promoting starvation, Paltrow explained herself on Instagram. “I eat full meals,” she insisted. “I also have days where I eat whatever I want, French fries or whatever. My baseline has been to try to eat healthy and try to eat foods that really calm the system down.”
The beauty maven also had an abundance of space saved in the fridge to store her creams and lotions.

“This is a great hack to store your eye masks in the fridge,” she offered. “It just feels amazing and cool and helps with the depuffing.”
She continued, “Incredible peptide serum, of course. I put this on in the morning and then in the evening before I go to bed. And this is new, I started doing is moisturizer in the fridge. Feels amazing.”

She concluded, “So that wraps up my fridge tour. Do you feel like you’ve gotten to know me any better?”
A couple of lucky fans could get more than a glimpse of the inside of Paltrow’s fridge in September, when the “Shakespeare in Love” actress will welcome two guests for one night at her Montecito property via Airbnb.

A Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Extra Only Got The Part Because Production Towed Her Car

An amusing detail: Sarakalo was asked at the time if she was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. “No,” she replied, “I’m in the neighborhood.” She had no ambitions to be a professional actor.
Sarakalo was, according to online sources, a professional costume designer who attended the University of New Mexico to study the history of textiles. She worked for the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe wherein she eventually became an instructor herself. Sarokalo also lived in Paris for a spell where she hosted one of the city’s only English-language radio shows on (now-defunct) station KLOD 96.6. Her show was called “Radio Free Gypsy,” and she would interview notable music personalities of the time, including Eric Clapton, Janis Joplin, and Limi Hendrix.
Also, by a wild coincidence, Sarakalo eventually discovered that an unspecified relative of hers was married to Steve Meerson … one of the credited screenwriters on “Star Trek IV.” Meerson also wrote “Back to the Beach,” “Double Impact,” and “Anna and the King.” Whether or not Sarakalo confronted her in-law about her mutual experience working on “The Voyage Home” is not a matter of record, but one can merrily picture a Thanksgiving dinner wherein she expressed her frustration on having her car towed, and the subsequent experience of seeing her face in hundreds of previews and publicity materials surrounding a high-profile studio picture.
Sarakalo has not been associated with “Star Trek” since, although given the franchise’s current ethos of resurrecting every available reference and guest spot for “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” one might expect a return regardless.
Sharon Farrell, Actress in ‘It’s Alive,’ ‘Marlowe’ and ‘The Reivers,’ Dies at 82
Sharon Farrell, who starred as the mother of a murderous infant in It’s Alive and contributed strong supporting turns opposite James Garner and Steve McQueen, respectively, in the 1969 films Marlowe and The Reivers, has died. She was 82.
Farrell died unexpectedly May 15 of natural causes at a hospital in Orange County, her son, Chance Boyer, told The Hollywood Reporter.
Farrell also played a movie hairstylist in Richard Rush‘s The Stunt Man (1980), the ex-wife of Chuck Norris’ Texas Ranger in Lone Wolf McQuade (1983) and the mother of the cheerleader portrayed by Amanda Peterson in Can’t Buy Me Love (1987).
Related StoriesOn television, Farrell recurred as Det. Lori Wilson on the final season (1979-80) of CBS’ Hawaii Five-O and was Florence Webster, mother of Tricia Cast’s Nina Webster, on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from 1991-97.
In the horror thriller It’s Alive (1974), written and directed by Larry Cohen and featuring special effects make-up from Rick Baker, Farrell’s Lenore Davis feverishly tries to protect the hideously deformed child she just had, even though the infant has escaped from the hospital and is killing people around town.
Farrell sets the story in motion in Marlowe when her character, a Kansas woman named Orfamay Quest, hires private eye Philip Marlowe (Garner) to find her brother, and she played the love interest of McQueen’s Boon Hogganbeck in The Reivers, directed by Mark Rydell.

Sharon Forsmoe was born on Christmas Eve in 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa. She joined the American Ballet Company, worked in a road production of Oklahoma! and moved to New York, where she acted and modeled.
She made her film debut alongside Elaine Stritch in Kiss Her Goodbye (1959), then danced on Broadway in 1960 in Josh Logan’s There Was a Little Girl, starring Jane Fonda and Dean Jones.
In 1962, Farrell starred alongside Nick Adams on the short-lived NBC newspaper drama Saints and Sinners and appeared with Tony Curtis and Suzanne Pleshette in the comedy film 40 Pounds of Trouble.
Farrell was quite busy with TV guest-starring roles over the decades, showing up on everything from My Favorite Martian, Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Wild Wild West to The F.B.I., The Six Million Dollar Man, McCloud, Police Woman, Matlock and JAG.
Her film résumé also included A Lovely Way to Die (1968), Not With My Wife, You Don’t! (1966), Jacqueline Susann’s The Love Machine (1971) and Night of the Comet (1984).
In the 2018 book Bruce Lee: A Life, author Matthew Polly notes that the martial arts legend and McQueen were involved in “a love triangle” with Farrell that resulted in Lee and McQueen not doing a movie together.
Farrell also had relationships with actors Andrew Prine and John F. Boyer, producer Ron DeBlasio and director Dale Trevillion, but she never married them or anyone else, her son noted. “That’s something they do in Hollywood, to say that they’re married,” he said.
In addition to Chance, who played a surfer on the 1991-93 syndicated TV series Harry and the Hendersons and was on General Hospital and in Frank Marshall’s Arachnophobia (1990), survivors include her grandson, Wayde, and daughter-in-law Mandi.

How The MRAP Was Built To Survive Massive Explosions

In 2006, Marine Corps Systems Command initiated the MRAP Joint Program Office, which brought together U.S. Marines, Army, Navy, and special operations units to get the MRAPs fielded as fast as possible. The Department of Defense (DOD) joined the effort a year later.
The old Humvees had flat bottoms, much like standard commercial vehicles. This made them perfect targets for explosives. When a Humvee rolled over an IED, the force of the blast would hit the underside (that lay horizontal to the ground) at full strength.
MRAPs —instead of a conventional flat belly — have a V-shaped armor-plated hull specifically intended to deflect explosions up and away from the vehicle. Military sources claim this offers 10 times the protection. They also have a raised chassis that helps reduce fragmentation, blast overpressure, and acceleration of an IED explosion. Additionally, they can be fitted with extra layers of armor that can even protect against RPG rounds.
The are four MRAP categories (I, II, III and M-ATV). Category I is the smallest and works in urban combat scenarios and for casualty evacuation. Category II is for convoys and troops carriage, while Category III sweeps for mines and IEDs. The MRAP-All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) is the most mobile of the bunch and was designed for use in extreme conditions.
According to Aeroweb, “Seven different vehicle designs have been purchased from five different contractors, including BAE Systems, Force Protection Industries (FPI), General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS), NAVISTAR Defense, and Oshkosh Corporation.”
How Paranormal Activity Prepared Jason Blum For The Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie

On first glance, 2009’s “Paranormal Activity” doesn’t seem like an endlessly repeatable franchise. A found-footage movie made entirely in the director’s own home with unknown actors largely improvising seems like the kind of thing that only works as well as it did one time, never mind the fact that the movie’s closest comparison point — 1999’s “The Blair Witch Project” — infamously spawned only one sequel (at the time, anyway) which went in an entirely different direction so as to avoid such seemingly obvious pitfalls.
As Blum recalled to IGN recently, some naysayers believed the first “Paranormal Activity” would be the only Blumhouse movie ever made:
“After we had done Paranormal Activity, everyone said, ‘Well, it’s The Blair Witch Project, it’s a magic trick. There’ll never be any more Paranormal Activities and there’ll never be any more Blumhouse movies and this guy, Jason Blum, got lucky.’ And, you know, ‘he’ll never be able to do this again.’ And the second movie we set out to do was Insidious.”
Not only did Blum prove himself in several ways, going on to produce numerous box office hits and turning Blumhouse into a label to be reckoned with, but he specifically turned both “Paranormal Activity” and “Insidious” into long-running franchises (their latest installments premiering in 2021 and this very year, respectively).
Man involved in Treat Williams’ fatal accident says he considered the actor a friend, charges are unwarranted
The man charged in Treat Williams’ fatal car accident says he knew the late actor and considered him a friend.
Ryan Koss, who had been notified earlier this week he was charged with grossly negligent operation resulting in death, released a statement Friday.
He said he was devastated by Williams’ death and offered his “sincerest condolences” to the actor’s family.
“I considered him a friend,” Koss said.
Koss, the managing creative director of the Dorset Theatre Festival in Vermont, said he knew Williams for years as a member of the tight-knit community, as well as a fellow theater member.

TREAT WILLIAMS’ HOLLYWOOD LEGACY: CO-STARS AND FRIENDS PAY TRIBUTE TO ACTOR’S LIFE AND CAREER
A Vermont State Police investigation concluded Koss’ vehicle pulled in front of Williams’ motorcycle on June 12 in Dorset. Williams was flung from his bike and later pronounced dead at the Albany Medical Center.
Koss said in his statement he’s “confident the facts will show I obeyed all relevant traffic laws, and the state’s charges are unwarranted.”
His arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 25.
A cause of death was recently determined, with the medical examiner’s office saying Williams died after sustaining severe trauma and blood loss.
Williams, 71, is survived by his wife Pamela Van Sant and two children, daughter Elinor and son Gill.
When the news of his death broke, tributes from around Hollywood poured in for the actor, who had a career spanning 50 years and more than 120 credits to his name.

Stars like Emily VanCamp, Matt Bomer and Kim Cattrall shared fond memories of the actor.
His “Hair” co-star Beverly D’Angelo wrote, “Such a beautiful friendship… I hope you hear everyone singing your praises Treat, I will miss you. I cry for you. Fly.”
And last month, Elinor shared a touching tribute to her father.
“I have never experienced this kind of grief before, so it’s hard to put my thoughts into words, but I’ll try my best for now,” she wrote.

Dwayne Johnson on ‘Black Adam’ Sequel Being Dropped: “Got Caught in a Vortex of New Leadership”

Dwayne Johnson is opening up about what happened to the failed Black Adam sequel and how it got caught in a “web of new leadership” at Warner Bros. Discovery.
While appearing on a recent episode of Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart show, the actor talked about the character and film, which was a passion project for him and years in the making. Ahead of the Black Adam‘s release in October 2022, Johnson also touted plans to develop his own chapter within the DC Universe and expand the character, but that was before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over and reshaped the entire DC Studios slate.
Related StoriesWhen Hart asked Johnson how he felt that the franchise was halted, the actor responded, “Black Adam got caught in a vortex of new leadership. And at that time, as we were creating Black Adam, developing it, shooting Black Adam … it was so many changes in leadership. And as you know, anytime you have a company, but especially that size and magnitude that’s a publicly traded company, and you have all those changes in leadership, you have people coming in who, creatively and fiscally, are going to make decisions that you may not agree with.”
Johnson went on to emphasize his point that the Black Adam sequel “got caught in that web of new leadership,” and that the project being dropped “will always be one of the biggest mysteries.”
“You have the biggest opening of your career. Sure, no China, that could’ve been maybe 100, maybe 200 million more dollars,” he added. “You’re establishing a new superhero and you want to grow out the franchise. You bring back Superman and Henry Cavill – the world went crazy. … We created a diverse superhero portfolio, where we have just men and women of color in Black Adam 2 as well.”
Although the movie was one of Johnson’s biggest openings of his career and received an audience score of 88 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, it still didn’t meet expectations. At the box office, it earned $391 million globally, and the film also received poor reviews from critics with a score of 38 percent.
But Johnson noted it bothered him that the sequel wasn’t viewed from the audiences’ standpoint and what they wanted to see. He told Hart, “As business-minded people who are always thinking audience first, yes we look at and respect the bottom line economically, but also when you think about opportunity and creating opportunity and creating things that are fresh and delivering for the audience, which is our number one boss, when that wasn’t looked at through that lens, it makes things a little bit more challenging.”
In December 2022, Johnson announced that plans for a Black Adams sequel had halted and would not be resuming anytime soon. “James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling,” Johnson said in a statement at the time. “However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters.”
Dear Abby: I busted my dad cheating on our mom with other men

DEAR ABBY: My brother and I recently found out my father, who has been married for more than 30 years, is having sexual relations with other men. This man accused my brother of being gay (he’s not), claims to be religious and sleeps next to my mother every night. I am not sure how to approach this because, honestly, I’m still in shock. My brother is furious.
We found a secret email address of Dad’s along with messages to men he has been meeting. Some of them describe him bringing men over while our mother is at work. He tells us he is going to a store, to visit a friend in the hospital, etc., but we found out that he’s really been sneaking around with other men.
Our mother doesn’t know any of this, and it was an accident that my brother and I found out. (We were ridding his computer of a virus.) Should I say something to my father? How do I approach it? How do I forgive him for accusing my brother of being gay when it’s him all along? Should I say something to my mother? How do I get my brother to stop being so angry at him?
I feel like I could go on forever with a million questions, but more than anything, I’m heartbroken, confused and angry. Our community and culture frown upon gays. I have nothing against the LGBTQ community because my generation is different and I have some close friends who are gay, although I don’t tell my father because he says he thinks it’s “disgusting.” I am not sure how to approach this. Please help! — HOLDING DAD’S SECRET
DEAR HOLDING: If attitudes were less judgmental, I am sure many more LGBTQ individuals would be more open about it. From your description of your father and the community you live in, he must be filled with disgust and self-hatred. It’s not your job to assuage your brother’s anger at the father who projected shame of his own sexual orientation onto his straight son.
I do think you should have a conversation with your father about what you discovered, and the sooner, the better. If your father has been doing more than “sleeping” next to your mother, she needs to be checked for STDs — just as she would if her husband were sleeping with other women. Give your father a deadline by which he has to come clean with her (if she doesn’t already know), or you will. Then follow through.
DEAR ABBY: I was recently married, and I didn’t invite several of my cousins, some of whom are quite dramatic. While I care about them, we aren’t close, and I rarely hear from them. I don’t regard a wedding as an excuse for a family reunion, so I chose to invite friends who are like family and who have demonstrated they wanted to be a part of my life. I’m now getting backlash from those who were not invited. Was it wrong to invite only the people I knew were genuinely happy for me and my new husband? — NEW BRIDE IN TEXAS
DEAR BRIDE: If inviting emotionally distant relatives would have meant you couldn’t invite close friends, you did the right thing. However, if you think the cousins who were excluded were distant before, you will likely find they may not only be distant but also absent in the future. Everything has a price.

Mattel unveils Kate McKinnon’s ‘Weird Barbie’ doll — here’s where to buy it
Weird Barbie has left Barbie Land and ventured into the real world.
Mattel announced Friday that fans of Kate McKinnon’s funky character from the hit Greta Gerwig-directed “Barbie” movie will soon be able to play with their own wacky doll. The film stars Margot Robbie as in the titular role of Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken.
And yes, she can do the splits.
Weird Barbie comes in the same pink dress and green snakeskin boots McKinnon wore in the film.
She also sports the experimental choppy blond, pink, and purple hairdo and face scribbles to “emulate a doll that’s been played with just a little too much,” per the product’s description.
But while the made-to-order Weird Barbie is currently available for preorder until Aug. 18, she’ll won’t be ready to party until next year.

Mattel says the doll is expected to ship on or before May 31, 2024. Weird Barbie will also set fans back $50.
The Post has contacted McKinnon for comment.
Another breakout and fan-demanded product from the movie is Ryan Gosling’s rainbow “I am Kenough” hoodie, which Mattel also sells on its site for $60.

“Barbie” has not only been a sales booster for Mattel but also other rival toymakers that sell any product featuring Barbie’s signature pink color, The Post learned earlier this week.
“There is a big trickle down when the $1 billion Barbie brand does well,” said Jay Foreman, chief executive of Basic Fun, which makes Tonka Truck and Lite Brite. “There’s an entire ecosystem that the pink tide is lifting in toyland.”
But not every toy on the market is real or appreciated.

Argentina artists Emiliano Pool Paolini and Marianela Perelli received death threats from all over the world this week after photos of their “Barbie Virgin Mary” and “Jesus Ken” dolls were posted online.
Their creations had no connection or affiliation with the original Barbie doll created by Mattel, as did “Splash” star Daryl Hannah who falsely introduced Mattel’s fictional line of MyCelia EcoWarrior Barbies.
