#Short Blog#

I have a lot of things to do tonight. One of them being sleep which is very impotant above all things. I have a lot of editing to do tonight. I have been stalling on publishing Bloody Rose. One reason is because editing cost money. Even though sometimes it feels like I am being slow at releasing a book   (which is about every 3 to 4 months) my editor thinks I am Speedy Gonzales.

I do not feel that way. I feel like I am very slow. I mean sure my last book (Purr Island Book# 3 of the Lukos...

Chasing Pavements

Every time I think about Adele’s song “Chasing Pavements” from her debut album 19, I can’t help but think about myself and writing. Some days I feel like I am out of my league, and I should just stick with creating sock-puppets with construction paper. I think I would be able to create a really cutie sock bunny. All I need is a massive amount of yarn and beads and I am good.

But, no on a more serious note I think about all of the different authors (indie and major published) and say to myself,...

Updated On Stuff!

I was thinking, what am I going to blog about today? Hummm!! Maybe I will talk about my new blog tour starting May 6, 2012.

I am super excited because this will be my first blog tour. I have read about different indie authors doing it, and how it is a great way to promote your book. I though to myself it is worth a shot, so I signed up with www.yanovelreader.com. Whom the host, Rachel Marks, has helped me out tremendously with the tour. Big thanks to her and her bloggers fo...

Bullying...On the job???

I just wanted to touch a little bit on a topic that I feel needs to be address to those of you who work full-time (or part-time). The topic is called Work Place Bulling. Work place bulling in my opinion is the worst kind of bulling.

Yes, we all have been bullied as a child growing up, but never in my life would I have imagined that bulling can be at the work place.I have done some research on the topic and though I would share it with you all.

The Work Place Bullying Institute states that 35% o...

Dating & Cultism

Ok, so for the past month I have being "editing" my new book Bloody Rose. Let's just say that it's not getting the attention that it deserves at the moment. Life has a funny way of interrupting your fun.

Just recently I have…well I don't want to say the D word (dating) but that's what is going on with me. How women authors juggle kids and husbands? I do not know. I am still trying to figure out the tricks of the trade.

WOW!

But all in all please bare with me readers (if you are out there readin...

~~Discovering Scribd~~

I told myself that I will try and do better about blogging more. I must admit it is very hard to work full-time, be active in church, write books and blog during the week. Don't get me wrong I like having a job. It's paying for my editing...LOL!

But on a serious note, I just discovered Scribd. I mean I have read where people talked about it, but I have never logged in and created any documents myself. In any event I have started (slowly) adding chapters of The Unsacred Gift to my documents, so...

Consciousness and Feelings

The most obvious thing to look out for when writing characters from the afterlife is that they can't physically interact with their environment, at least not in the same way as non-supernatural characters do. If they can touch, taste and smell then you'll need to come up with a plausible theory as to how they can do this, otherwise your reader will be left with questions about the world you have created and that pulls them out of your story.
It's also tempting to give your otherworldly...

Creating a Fully Formed World

As with any genre of writing, the world you paint for you reader needs to be seamless. This doesn't mean you should start dumping information here, there and everywhere. Sheer quantity of information doesn't necessarily equate to a believable world. But if you can see a hole in your plotline or environment, your reader probably will too. Don't assume that just because your world is an imaginary one that your readers won't still expect you to know what you're talking about.
In essence, writing...
