Pancake Day!!

Back in Blighty (the UK, seriously don't ask me why it's nicknamed that, I have no idea!) tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday, aka Pancake Day. The day before lent begins (Ash Wednesday), families usually have pancakes for dinner, and it is – in my house at least – the only day of the year that pancakes are eaten.

"In the United Kingdom and many other countries, the day is often known as Pancake Day. Making and eating such foods was considered a...

I come across this diagram demonstrating just how ridiculous portion sizes in the good ol' US of A are getting. Starbucks have released a new Trenta size which is bigger than the average person's stomach. (How does that even work?!)

Image courtesy of the Huffington Post.

Yup, this size is the equivalent of the liquid in a wine bottle. Except it's coffee and you most likely...

OhMyGawd! My book.

It arrived in an ominous package on my doorstep last week, and I felt absolutely sick before I opened it, and hubby was trying to take pictures and I might, maybe, just have screamed at him to stop because I just felt so dang nervous about it!

Here is a picture of me when I had slightly calmed a little and pretended to look interested in reading it (because, to be honest I have read it so many times that I could probably recite it word for word.)

Unfortunately I still need to make some minor...

Stressed Out Brides

This week I'll be talking about STRESS!!!

We all deal with stress from time to time. And sometimes stress can be a positive thing – it enables us to cope better in certain situations. It creates several chemical and hormonal reactions in the body as the body prepares to "fight or flee"- such as sending more blood to the heart and the muscles and shutting down all non-essential functions. Unusual Places to Get Married

A couple of weeks back, a couple with a mutual love for running tied the knot during mile 16 of the Houston marathon.

Marriage Vows Exchanged at the Marathon: MyFoxHOUSTON.com

That's got to be one of the sweatiest ways to exchange vows fo' sure. But it's certainly not the most unusual place:
