FA? Fabulous Aussie? Brace for Impact on Book Hooks #MFRWhooks #MFRWAuthor

Australian Paix and Canadian Guy are stranded on a tropical island. They are getting to know each other.

Guy tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow. "So why were you on a flight from Toronto to Caracas. Get lost?"She snorted and shook her head. "No. I—" She inhaled a deep breath. "I'd flown into Toronto the other day and the company asked me to do this flight as the FA was out sick with the flu.""FA? Fabulous Aussie?"

Brace for Impact This is the release of the single story taken from the Crashing into Love box set.
What could be simpler than a routine plane trip from Toronto, Canada to Caracas, Venezuela for a rookie flight attendant and a sexy R.C.M.P. officer?
But Fate had other intentions.
After leaving a disastrous marriage, Paix Allcot begins a new career as a flight attendant. The romance of travel plus the desperate need to be on any other continent other than the one her ex is on seems like a dream job. For the first time, Paix is no longer a trainee and the passengers in economy class are under her care. Especially the handsome passenger seated in 36C.
Guy Lapierre, undercover officer, is following a vicious human-trafficker. He has little time for relationships. Too many innocent lives are at stake. But when the plane crashes and Guy is stranded on a tropical island, he is forced to work with Paix to survive until he discovers that the man he is tracking is Paix's older brother.
Can a pink bra and a hot night on the side of a volcano save the relationship and their lives?

Review - Daryl Devore's book was fantastic also it was probably one of my favorites of the set. I was crying at the end thinking the worst but it turned out great.

Chaos abounds in Late Victorian England - LIza O'Connor's latest - The Crimelord's War #latevictorian #mystery

Meet Casey and Fagan, Vic’s two drivers Casey and Fagan were assigned to drive and protect Vic. (Neither knows she’s a woman. They just think the imp is a trouble magnet.) Both are Irish lads. Technically Fagan is supposed to be training so the day Davy decides to retire, he’ll be ready to take over. However, since Xavier doesn’t expect Davy to quit driving until his drops over dead, the only reason why Davy isn’t outraged is because Fagan’s actual job is to assists Casey in keep Vic safe.  And honestly, Davy wants nothing to do with the trouble magnet alive.

Xavier hired Fagan after Tubs took three shots in the chest. Had he hired Vic more protection earlier, Fagan could have carried the poisoned woman from the house while Tubs eliminated the trouble. Unfortunately, Tubs had to drop the woman he carried and knock Vic to safety, by which time he’d taken three shots to the chest. So Xavier is taking no more chances. Vic has two well-armed strong young men watching her now. Casey can handle a carriage at speeds beyond anyone he’s ever seen and Fagan can shoot the eye of a crow a thousand feet away.

In book 7, Casey & Fagan get very angry with Vic for sneaking off without them. This nearly got them fired! Check out the excerpt below.

Chaos abounds in Late Victorian England. Xavier goes off on a mission without Vic because her protector, Tubs, is not well enough to keep Vic from harm right now. In fact, Tubs is dying and the doctor doesn’t expect him to live for more than a week. Upon discovering Tubs’ dire situation, Vic sets about rescuing him instead.Good thing too. To all appearances the two strongest crime lords of London have declared war on each other. Only the two attempts on Vic’s life tells her this is all a clever plot by a third party—worse yet, a female villainess. To stop the crime lords from destroying one another, leaving their territories open to the Russian spy, she must bring Seth and Samson together, share what is really going on, and get them to agree to work against this third party. Not an easy task since Seth Sojourn thinks Vic is nothing but a foolish sop. Unfortunately, Xavier has gone missing, so it’s up to her to convince the angry crime lord that her plan is best. Otherwise, this villainess will kill everyone who gets in her way and bring England to its knees.

“What has happened now?” Gregory demanded as he entered the barn and stared at the dead man on the floor. He frowned at Vic, then focused on Casey. “Have you been shot? Do you need a doctor?”“I’m fine,” he stated, pushing Vic away. “Vic came running in declaring incoming trouble. We were putting down fresh hay so our main guns were hung up in the closet. When the guy entered, we had pitch forks and to all appearances, he just had an ill-temper. I tried to talk him down, but Vic insisted on scolding him for his bad driving. I offered to let him leave with no one getting hurt, which he should have taken given our pitch forks were pointed at him.”Fagan jumped in. “Which meant he had a gun. Fortunately, Casey was wearing his back holster gun, so I sided up to him and was able to take it without the guy realizing I was now armed. I was waiting for him to reach in his jacket to draw a gun, but he never did. The first thing I saw was him firing into the haystack where Vic had been. I shot to kill, but had Vic not had the sense to move away from that haystack right after he spoke, this might have ended very badly.”“But it didn’t,” Vic stated. “And now the streets are a great deal safer. I guarantee you that I’m not the first person this fellow has tried to kill. And he damn near ran over me to begin with.” She then looked at Gregory. “This is not my fault.”“I will call Inspector Stone and let him know,” Gregory stated and left the barn.Vic frowned at Fagan. “Did you have to mention my rebuttal?” she asked.“No. Did you have to leave us behind when you went to the casino?”“I was trying to keep you out of trouble,” she grumbled.“How’s that?” Casey challenged.“If I convinced you that I’d be safe with Samson watching over me, which I would be, given the casino is his and he has a great deal of muscle working there, I was afraid despite my safety, Gregory would not agree and try to fire you for not following his strict guidelines of where I could and could not go. However, if I went around you in a way you could not expect, then Gregory wouldn’t try to fire you and I wouldn’t have to unfire you, because you do not work for Gregory, you work for me…and Xavier.” She had to include Xavier since Fagan was his future driver. She stared at them. “I would never let anyone fire you. You both have a job as long as you want it. I just prefer not fighting over who can and cannot fire my people, so I’d rather Gregory be mad at me than you. He would never fire me.”That made them both laugh softly. “That would be something, firing the master of the house,” Fagan said.Casey smiled at Vic. “Thank you for explaining yourself. Glad you told us in private, because I don’t think Gregory would have liked that explanation at all.”“What explanation?” Gregory demanded as he entered the room.“Why I had moved to a new haystack. I was planning to hit the guy in the head with something…only all I could find was hay.”Both Fagan and Casey burst into laughter.“That is hardly amusing!” Gregory chided them. “Nor is this a time for humor. A man has been killed. When the police arrive, there should be no laughter, mirth, or smiles. Do I make myself perfectly clear?”Both men sobered and nodded.

Then one day she declared enough, got a better job, divorced her husband, and fell in love with her new life where people behaved nicely. The final book in the Brodie Saga

Prologue from The Disappearance of Catherine Brodie

Patrick ChambersJuly, Ten Years AgoBrighton

Patrick panicked quietly in the corner of the waiting area. He was going out of his mind with worry, the hearing had been taking so long. His father had been in the meeting room for four hours and no one had left or entered during that time. His mother’s nerves were so fraught she couldn’t leave the house. His sister preferred to be at the courthouse to hear the outcome of the public case against the hospital. He wanted to be there for his dad to hear the news. Each minute that passed caused his heart to constrict, the beginnings of a headache formed behind his eyes. The hospital board needed to decide his father’s fate, but Patrick believed his father wasn’t to blame. He didn’t do what they were accusing him of, he didn’t kill that boy.

The constant activity in the hospital corridor irritated him, people rushing back and forth to their offices, carrying files and folders. Several people smiled as they passed, he didn’t acknowledge them. Some of the blurred bodies tried to talk to him, but he ignored them. He didn’t care that they wanted to offer support, but he couldn’t hear them. The screaming noises in his head drowned out any words spoken.

He had his back to the door to the conference room when it opened and he spun around. He knocked a young girl off balance in his hurry to get to his father. Patrick grabbed her shoulders to steady her and stalked off in the direction of the open doors. His father stumbled out through the conference room door, his face was ashen, and his eyes glazed over as he clung to the metal frame. He found his balance and strode along the corridor with purpose, ignoring Patrick’s questions about what had happened.

Patrick and his father descended in the elevator in silence, they were not alone. All the passengers squashed in to get to the floor they needed. Patrick kept his eyes on his dad who ended up on the opposite side of the small box elevator. He didn’t let him out of his sight as his father bolted as soon as the door opened. Patrick chased him down the corridor and out into the sunshine, his father advanced around the building towards the car park, ignoring his pleas to stop. Finally, Patrick’s father came to a stop at his car, and he stood there squinting, blinking rapidly.

“What did they say, dad? What’s happening?” Patrick asked frantically. He circled around his father’s body to stand in front of him, and they were eye to eye. He had aged mentally ten years in the last six months, he wished he was still the foolish, naive nineteen-year-old he was six months ago. Patrick may have equalled his dad’s height, but he was no match in stature. Patrick was skinny and awkward and his father was tall, broad and foreboding. At this moment, his youthful features had aged, with his shoulders sagging in defeat. Patrick placed his hands on his dad’s shoulders and gave him a little shake. He lifted his head, looked him straight in the eyes and told him what they said.

The news shocked Patrick, genuinely stunned, he had an unpleasant taste in his mouth, his family would never be the same again and there was only one person to blame.

From my erotic billionaire romance - FL.E.S.H.

Peyton kidnapped Fuchsia and she arrives somewhere she's never been.

Fuchsia looked around the tarmac. "Really? Anchorage? Alaska!""Uh-huh. Alaska." He inhaled a large breath and released it. "Home.""You're from Alaska?"He chuckled. "People do come from here, you know. Come on. Let's get home and get you to bed."During the short walk to the next plane, Fuchsia twisted her neck left and right, trying to catch sight of anything Alaskan. But all she saw was the airport terminal, airplane hangars and ground crew transport vehicles."Whatchya looking for?" Peyton stopped next to the floatplane."Oh. I… uh… I just—"He chuckled. "No, there aren't any polar bears wandering around. It's too late. They sleep at night.""Oh. Okay. Wait." Fuchsia leveled a playful glare at him.He pointed to one of the airplane hangars. "And see how we can make our igloos look like real buildings. You can paint the sides to make'em look like anything. I once saw an igloo that looked just like the Taj Mahal.""Okay. You just crossed the line. I almost bought the bit about the bears being asleep, but painting igloos… over the line. Is that little toy-thing our plane?"

What people are saying about FL.E.S.H.5 Star ***** I had never read any of Daryl Devore's books and man, am I glad I read this one! Peyton is the guy we all want and Fuchsia is a girl who is not giving up on her dreams. When the two collide, everything is turned upside down and the result is hot, but also laugh out loud funny. I will definitely have to read more of Devore's books!

5 Star ***** This is the first book I have had the privilege of reading by Daryl Devote (Devore). I'm hooked!! Peyton and Fuchsia's story was full of heat and love. Their playful banter had me laughing out loud. I would definitely recommend this book to my family and friends.

This week's yoga thought - kinda a deep one #yoga

Some things are a little too existential for me.

The cure for the pain the my damaged knee is in the pain of the damaged knee. Will have to ponder that in meditation.

Scene set- stranded on a tropical island after a plane crash - Paix and Guy decide to search the island, but they need something to help them locate their camp.

Illicit Relations, a M/M erotic romance by Lucy Felthouse, with coming out and almost-taboo themes, has been re-released with a stunning new cover and a lower price! Please note, however, if you’ve read it before, that the content hasn’t changed.*****Blurb:Terry’s had a crush on his second cousin Justin for what seems like forever. He’s hidden it as well as possible, knowing that the other man is out of bounds, forbidden fruit. Second cousins getting together isn’t actually illegal, but for Justin the relationship is too close—he just can’t contemplate them being together.
But when some new information comes to light about Terry’s birth and his place in the family, the whole game changes. Suddenly the relationship isn’t so impossible, and things soon begin to get hot and heavy.Buy links:Amazon: http://mybook.to/illicitrelations All Romance eBooks: http://bit.ly/29L2JMc Barnes & Noble: http://bit.ly/29At2jv iBooks UK: http://apple.co/29Ear9K iBooks US: http://apple.co/29L3dBX Smashwords: http://bit.ly/29BbODJ
Add to Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18741652-illicit-relations*****Excerpt:Terry deliberately averted his gaze as Justin tugged off his T-shirt and dove into the pool. The last thing he needed was to see him topless. His libido was already in overdrive and he was having trouble not jumping Justin’s bones. In fact, the only thing that held him back was the fact that Justin was his second cousin. They hadn’t been brought up particularly closely, so it wasn’t as if he were lusting after someone he considered to be a brother, but still. They were related and it was weird. Or it would be weird if anything happened between them, which it wouldn’t, of course. It would be wrong and they both knew it.
Terry assumed that was the reason Justin was avoiding him, anyway. They got on well and there was an obvious spark between them, but nothing inappropriate had ever taken place. For the most part, they acted as cousins should. Every now and again, though, he’d catch Justin looking at him. Equally, Terry would drink his fill of his cousin when no one else was looking. Apparently it was getting increasingly difficult for Justin, too.
Right now, at the annual summer get together at Terry’s grandparents’ massive house in rural Warwickshire, the tension between them had never been higher.
What made the whole thing ten times worse was that neither of them had come out. So ending up together would be a double whammy for their families. He could see it now. Hey, everyone! I’m gay—and so is he. We’re together. Now as you were.
He didn’t know whether the reaction would be favorable or not.
He also knew that part of his frustration about the situation was because he hadn’t yet seen any point in coming out. His feelings for Justin ran deeper than he cared to admit, and for that reason he hadn’t been in a relationship with anyone—ever. Not a homosexual relationship, anyway. He’d had girlfriends back in the days when he hadn’t realized what his urges meant, but since then he’d been by himself and remained a virgin. He was surprised, actually, that no one in his family had asked whether he was gay. He could only assume that because he was so private generally, they thought he would only introduce them to someone when he felt it was absolutely right. That was his plan, in fact. To come out and introduce his partner at the same time. But until he got over this damn infatuation with Justin, he was never going to be any farther forward.
His thoughts ran on for several minutes until he was interrupted—and startled—by droplets of cold water falling onto his bare shoulder. He turned. Justin stood there, shaking his blond head and sending the droplets flying around. Apparently he wasn’t avoiding Terry anymore.
It was hot and he was wearing casual clothes, so Terry wasn’t bothered about getting wet, but for some reason, he snapped at Justin. “For fuck’s sake, do you have to do that here?”
Immediately Justin stopped and stared at him. They’d never had a cross word between them, not even when they were children. “Sorry, mate. I was just messing around. I didn’t think it would piss you off.”
His blue eyes were wide and Terry felt his irritation dissipating rapidly. He continued to rake his gaze down Justin’s half-naked form. His broad shoulders and wide chest, which was sprinkled with a handful of pale hairs. His toned stomach, the six-pack nicely defined but not too body-builderish. His arms were thickly muscled but suited his athletic frame. Deep-blue swimming trunks hid the area he most wanted to see but he relied on the glimpses he’d had over the years and his overripe imagination.
Thick thighs and calves and, unbelievably, nice feet—he didn’t generally like feet—finished off the package of perfection and Terry was suddenly extremely glad he had a book in his lap, because his cock was beginning to swell and press against the inside of his swimming shorts. He realized that a dip in the pool would be a pretty good antidote—the chilly water should take the heat from his cock. And if not, at least no one would be able to see the bulge unless they swam underwater.
It was stupid, really, trying to hide his erection from Justin. They both knew there was something between them, and he wanted to bury his hard cock inside Justin’s mouth or arse, not hide it beneath a fucking book.
He began to wonder whether they should just get together, and to hell with the consequences. It wasn’t illegal.
Justin sat down on the sun bed next to Terry and flashed him a smile. “Am I forgiven, then? I haven’t got your book wet, have I?” He reached out to grab the book, presumably to try to dry it, but Terry slammed his hand down quickly, catching Justin’s fingers beneath his in the process, not to mention giving his cock a bit of a smack.
“No,” he ground out, wondering how he’d managed to get even a single word to fall from his lips. As soon as their fingers had touched he’d felt a spark that had run straight up his arm and multiplied throughout his entire body. His ebbing erection had immediately jumped back to attention, lifting the book slightly. He hoped against all hope that Justin hadn’t noticed but he had no such luck.
The blond’s gaze dropped to their still-touching fingers and, presumably, to the book and the thing beneath it that had caused the movement. He stared for a few seconds that felt like hours, then looked back up at Terry’s face. He opened his mouth then closed it again. For the first time ever, it seemed Justin was speechless.
A huge splash and a series of laughs from the pool broke the spell between them. Justin snatched his hand back and raked it through his hair. He opened and closed his mouth again, but for the second time nothing came out. He let out a heavy sigh and stood up looking dazed. He appeared to have trouble putting one foot in front of the other, as though he were drunk or had just woken from a very deep sleep. Of course, only the two of them knew the real reason for Justin’s behavior.
Finally Justin got his limbs to cooperate, and he made his way across to the table that held food and drinks, sheltered from the bright sunlight by a large, green gazebo.
Terry watched him go, a tumult of emotions running through his brain. Disappointment, confusion, anger, lust…they all assaulted him, though admittedly the last was screaming the loudest, a fact certainly not helped by Justin’s damp and topless state.
Now a feeling of despair took hold of him. There are two words that described Kai.

Remote and Deadly.

And until six months ago, he was fine with that description. But when the vampire assassin spots a curvaceous woman, a human no less, who would come to fill his thoughts, he would gladly shake his persona for a moment in time with her. Instead, he kept his distance, watching out for her and learning more about her every time their paths crossed. But he had yet to speak to her. When a turn of events thrusts her into his solitary life, he must decide whether to complete his assignment, or protect her.

Olivia Sabin had dedicated her life to her work; finding a cure for cancer. She had hidden behind the mask of a scientist who cares little about anything beyond her laboratory, and for a long while she believed it herself. But when a mysterious man came to frequent the diner she visited nightly, her awareness of him devastated her concentration, and she came to look forward to the glimpses of him, however brief.

When she stumbles upon a horrific experiment at work, she knows he’s the only one she can turn to. She’s willing to sacrifice everything in order to protect him and others of his kind from the same fate. But first, she needs to find a way to get him to hear her explanation.

In his over two hundred year existence, he’d never been attracted to a human.  Blood was the one reason that he interacted with humans, and even that could be taken from a donor without him having him drink from the source.  But as he tried to pass off a reason he reacted to her in such an elemental way, he continued to follow her, finding himself outside the door that read Blue Plate Diner.  Obscured by the door, his eyes tracked movement as the waitress greeted her as if they were old friends.  For a reason he couldn’t fathom, he felt a surge of jealousy.  He was still a stranger to this captivating human, and she intrigued him.Without quite knowing why he had followed her, he opened the door and walked into the chrome and tiled cafe, taking the time to pull up the hood of his sweatshirt.  He scanned the place and settled for a booth at the back of the restaurant, where he could watch her without being detected.By the time he’d sat down and scanned for any possible dangers, she had pulled out a laptop along with a sheaf of papers filled with formulas he couldn’t decipher.  Between typing and writing in the margins of the already filled pages, the concentration on her work was total. He found himself mesmerized by the play of emotions on her face as she worked.  A smile for when she figured out a problem, or a frown when something didn’t quite fit, and everything in between.  He couldn’t take his eyes off of her.  When she bit her lip in concentration, it took all of his control to keep his distance from her.  He found that he had to grip the table to keep himself still, when all he wanted to do was devour her.  The spell was broken when the waitress had placed a club sandwich with a side of fries on the free space next to her elbow.  He forced himself to relax, but kept his eyes on her when she reached for the sandwich absently and ate without really paying attention to anything else but the work in front of her. After several hours, her hand covered a small yawn.  She glanced at her watch, and he felt the side of his mouth tilt as she rolled her eyes.  Thanking the waitress, she reached for two tens in her pocket and dropped them on the table before she packed up and left. From that night on, he made a point to arrive at the diner minutes after she was seated, and spent hours scanning her face as he watched her work.  And every night, he slid into the shadows as she walked home to her small cottage, with its bright white siding with cornflower blue shutters that matched her perfectly.  Each night, he waited until she was safely inside with the door locked, before he made his way back to his home on the mountain.  His attraction also came with a somewhat unwanted reaction.  Protectiveness.  He estimated her height at under five and a half feet tall, and although she walked everywhere in their relatively safe little town—to her job at Standard Biotech and her home, several blocks from the diner—he had to tamp down his need to protect her.  From what, he couldn’t explain, even to himself. She was oblivious of him, so eventually he stopped covering his face as he entered the diner.  He kept telling himself that it was enough, being with her as she sat a short distance away.  But she continued to be blissfully unaware of his presence, and something deep inside him wanted answers to his questions.  And those questions had nothing to do with her blood.  The obsession had grown steadily, and although he couldn’t explain it, he knew he couldn’t give her up.

Can a pink bra and a hot night on the side of a volcano save the relationship and their lives? #newrelease #hotromance

Brace for Impact – Just ReleasedThis is the release of the single story taken from the Crashing into Love box set.

Paix tugged on the hair tie, loosening the bun. She felt and heard it pop. Looking at the broken elastic, she sighed. Never fails. Don’t have an emergency hair tie and this one has to break. She knelt next to the stream and leaned forward, sloshing her hair in the water. It wasn't as good as a washing from a professional hair stylist, but it did rinse off the salt and get some of the sand out of her hair. Standing, she flipped her hair back over her shoulders and let it hang down her back. Rivers of water streamed off each strand. She scooped a couple of handfuls of water and splashed it against her body. Her nipples contracted at the touch of the coolness. She slid her hands down her body, wiping away the water. Closing her eyes, she imagined Guy stroking her. His large, strong hands brushing softly against her flesh. His biteable lips kissing her neck. Snapping herself from her thoughts, she bent low, cupped her hand and filled it with water. She raised her hand to her lip and sucked in the liquid."Oh, mon Dieu." His voice broke the silence. "Now I know what heaven looks like."Paix bolted to upright, turned and groped for her blouse."Sorry. I know that was inappropriate, but again I say, my mouth gets ahead of my brain." He grinned. "But it was a lovely view. I'll go sit on that fallen palm and leave you to dry off in privacy.""Make sure you are turned toward the ocean and aren't looking this way."His gaze scanned her from head to toe, slowing at her breasts and navel. "Yes, ma'am."

Review - Daryl Devore's book was fantastic also it was probably one of my favorites of the set. I was crying at the end thinking the worst but it turned out great.

Brace for Impact – A hot tropical island romance by Daryl Devore #sexy #justreleased

Note - This is the release of the single story taken from the Crashing into Love box set.

Scene Set - Paix and Guy crash landed in the ocean and have made their way to a tropical island. They've been living off coconut water, coconuts and papaya.

Guy faced forward, but reached back and placed his fingers on her lips. He tilted his head. There was a new sound. Very faint under the wind and crashing waves. He guessed the direction and walked until he reached a small stream trickling down the side of the hill. He stuck his hand in the water and then licked his fingers. "Fresh water."
"Yes." Paix jump up, hugging him.Her breasts pressed through the silky material and against his chest. Her legs wrapped around his waist. Her crotch rubbed on his belly. Never before had a man been more glad that he'd found water than Guy was at that moment. He offered her the coconut water, she chugged it then he filled the can from the stream."Can you turn around or go sit over there?" She flapped her hand toward the trees. "I'd love to have a bit of a bath. Get some of the smell and salt off me.""I'm going to explore that way. Try my cell closer to the water. Don't leave. If anything bothers you, scream."She glanced around. He chuckled. "I haven't seen anything or any tracks of anything big enough to attack. I did see a horny lizard who was flirting with me.""Lizards have horns?""No. Horny, like hey baby wanna get lucky?"Paix rolled her eyes, shook her head and pointed. "Go."
