REVIEW: Pride and Piña Coladas (PARADISE BAY SERIES Book 5) by Melanie Summers
From best-selling author Melanie Summers comes a retelling of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice that’ll have you laughing, swooning, and sipping fruity blender drinks…
I’m Nora Cooper—single woman about to turn thirty, wildly unsuccessful plant fanatic, and event planner at Paradise Bay Resort. My shot at ‘the big time’ has finally arrived—the resort is hosting the World Bartender Championships and I’ve been asked to head up the hospitality team.
There’s only one big problem. And his name is T...

Reading List by Jennie for July through September 2022
After a couple of quarters of light reading, I somehow managed to have nine books in my “What I’ve been reading for July through September.” It didn’t mean my slump was over, but I do have a few good books to talk about! (Also read and reviewed Storm Echo and The Golden Enclaves, both with Janine.)
Did Ye Hear Mammy Died? by Seamus O’Reilly
O’Reilly grew up the eighth of 11 children in a rambling house on the edge of Derry, Northern Ireland. This memoir recounts his upbringing, marked always by ...

CONVERSATION: Looking Ahead to 2023
Hi everyone, I’ve got a new conversation topic for you. Last month we talked about how our reading went in 2022. Now let’s talk about 2023.
Do you have any New Year’s resolutions when it comes to your reading (i.e. read X number of books, read more of a genre or an author, finish more/fewer books, etc.) for 2023?
Which three 2023 releases are you most excited for?
What else are you hoping or wishing for?
Reading Goals
Rose: As I foresaw in my 2022 summary, I ended up reading between 155 an...

Sirius’ Best of 2022 List
And once again my list is not very long, but it truly represents the best and most memorable for me books that I reviewed this year.
1. The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman.
I am linking to the review of the first book, but I reviewed all three books this year and so far the books are only getting better and keep improving and I can wholeheartedly recommend all three. The characters are delightful and the plots are only getting stronger in my opinion. Rather than quote from my rev...
REVIEW: Nice Earls Do by Susanna Craig
To readers of her popular magazine Mrs. Goode’s Guide to Miss Conduct, “Mrs. Goode” is an expert in all domestic matters. Household management, home décor, entertainment . . . there is nothing about which she lacks an opinion. Who better to assist the Earl of Bennett, newly appointed guardian to his niece and nephew, in turning his house into a home?
The widowed Lady Manwaring is the farthest thing from a domestic doyenne, so when asked to pose as Mrs. Goode on behalf of the book’s true author...

Janine’s Best of 2022
2022 was a challenging year for me when it came to reading. The DNFs were frequent but at least I got through my reading list faster because of them, and yay, ended up with a full ten books to include here.
In order of how much I liked them, here they are:
1. The Long Game by Rachel Reid
In Rachel Reid’s direct sequel to 2019’s Heated Rivalry we witness NHL superstars Shane and Ilya’s relationship twelve years on. They are no longer two horny young guys hooking up for the thrill of a secret r...
REVIEW: Ghost 19 by Simone St. James
A woman moves to a town where she becomes obsessed with watching the lives of her neighbors while stuck in a house that refuses to let her leave in this first ever short story from the New York Times bestselling author of The Book of Cold Cases.
Is there something wrong with Ginette Cox? It’s what everyone seems to think. When a doctor suggests that what she might need is less excitement, she packs up and moves from New York City to a house in suburban NY: 19 Howard Ave.
The town offers Ginett...

REVIEW: Love and Lattes by Karis Walsh
Bonnie James has built her life around her passions—cats, coffee, and community. She rejected her family’s narrow visions of success and instead chose the non-lucrative, fur-filled life of a cat café owner. So what if her decision means she works way too much to have time for true love? She has plenty of friends and cats to keep her company.
Wedding planner Taryn Ritter has a knack for making impossible dreams come true. She might not understand the appeal of getting married in a cat café, but...

Kaetrin’s Best of 2022
My reading year was up and down – a big slump in the middle didn’t help and the stress of moving house right near the end of the year meant I turned to comfort reads for the last 2 months or so. (In this time I read Kristen Ashley books almost exclusively. #NoRegrets) But there were some fantastic books nonetheless, a happy mix of new-to-me authors and old favourites.
As always, the disclaimer here is that these are my best – of the books I read, these were the ones that I liked the best for wh...
