Let the NaNoWriMo begin!

Today marks one year since I began writing!! I can't believe how much one year has changed my writing and I look forward to many more years to come.

For all of those with me on the road to 50k, good luck and I hope you have lots of coffee!

Six Sentence Sunday #12

Continuing from last week!

Marco Cahill nodded, "Okay, but I don't see any glass slippers lying around for you to find her with. Let's get into this club your dad recommended and see if you can find a female that doesn't disappear."

The guys ambled along to the entrance of the club and walked past the front of the long line, heading to the back.

Gavin said to Drew, "I promise you I saw her."

"I know man; maybe you will be able to find her in here."

Gavin heard someone call out to Lucas and realized Marco and Lucas had stopped at the door.

Six Sentence Sunday #11

Continuing from last week! Gavin had just looked down at Madi on the sidewalk as he was in the elevator.

He couldn't help but think how soft her lips must be and wondered what she tasted like, "Hey guys, did you see the female standing below us?" He waited for a response and when no one answered, he opened his eyes to discover the elevator had stopped.

Lucas Moriarty laughed, "Welcome back. Enjoy your nap?"

Drew Promina, his best friend since preschool, asked, "What female Gav?"

Gavin saw his friends look at each other, then back to him. "I promise you I saw her. She has to be, by far, the prettiest female I have seen in a very long time."

Six Sentence Sunday #10

Continuing from last week! We have been following Madi as she is on her way to work but is stopped as she heard the word Strayer, the evil race of both Fae and Vampire who have used their powers for killing. She had just stopped on the sidewalk to glance back at the elevator she gave up hope on. Inside the elevator was a group of four guys, the ones she could have heard moments earlier talking about Strayers.

She had an adorable little nose situated in between two high cheekbones accentuated by long wavy auburn hair. He loved that she wasn't a frail female like all the others he and his friends kept meeting. He watched her face grow sad and turn away.

He closed his eyes and slumped against the elevator wall. He realized after she disappeared that he hadn't thought to scan her aura. His thoughts lingered on the mystery girl and wondered what her aura looked like.

Six Sentence Sunday #9

First off, I would like to wish my dearest friend, Laura the Jane, a very Happy Birthday. May your box of Hot Tamales be yours alone! Love you sis!

She felt her heart pound faster when she saw one of them turn and stare down at her. He didn't have the usual uninterested look, but a look that made her feel she was the most beautiful female in the world. Full of anticipation, she tried to catch his thoughts, but when she couldn't hear him, she frowned and turned away. It figures the one guy who looks at her that way is off-limits, as humans aren't aware of the supernatural beings around them and vampires couldn't hear humans thoughts.

Gavin felt as if someone were staring and glanced out of the glass elevator to the sidewalk below. A lone female stood on the sidewalk looking up at him and even though the night had fallen, the streetlight illuminated her beautiful face.
