December Daily® 2020 | Kits + Album Previews
I'm super excited to bring you previews today of the
December Daily® 2020 Main Kit, Paislee Press Mini Kit, Star Kit and album options.
A couple updates/reminders:
You can see other shop products (journaling cards, papers, embellishments, stamps, etc) we revealed last week in my preview post here. Make sure to go read our How It Works post to understand how this box ordering process works. December Daily® Product Play 4 workshop registration will also open on the 3rd and will be available at an intro price of $17 during the Order Selection Period (until September 24th). After that it will return to the $20 price. I'll be adding more images to the shop page for that workshop as the month progresses to show previews of the projects. The workshop will be available via our normal shopping set up and is a separate purchase from your December Daily® Box. The three themes we will be focusing on in that workshop this year are triangles, transparency, and texture.

Below you'll see images and videos of what's included in each of the kits this year. Additional images and information will be included when the products are released on Thursday, September 3rd at 7am Pacific.

2020 ALBUMS
Black + Bronze 6x8 Merry Album with light greige interior star pattern. Includes 31 page protectors + 2.5 inch spine:
Red 6x8 Album with bronze + white stars on the cover and red diagonal pattern on the inside. Includes 31 page protectors + 2.5 inch spine.
Light grey linen 6x8 album with a black dot pattern on the inside. Includes 31 page protectors + 2.5 inch spine.
Our 3x8 album this year is a green linen with a greige grid pattern on the inside. The 3x8 album spine is 1.5 inches and includes 31 page protectors.
New this year we are offering a felt Travelers Notebook style cover as an option.
The felt cover includes a notebook that you can fill with your December stories. In addition we are excited to offer plastic page protectors that fit in this style of notebook from our friends at Freckled Fawn.

December Daily® 2020 | How It Works
Each year before the release of the December Daily® collection I like to go over how the Order Selection Period works to refresh everyone's memory and introduce newcomers to the community about how ordering works for these specific products.
We are hopeful that the changes we made to the order process the last few yearswill continue to alleviate some of the slow loading and other issues we've faced in the past for this very popular release. That said, we are imperfect people trying to get it right and it's totally possible that there will be issues on the day the products go live (this Thursday, September 3rd at 7am PDT). We thank you in advance for your patience if issues do arise. Our goal is to create an awesome experience for you and we don't like it just as much as you don't like it when things don't run smooth.
Below I am showing screen shots of what the shopping experience looks like (on desktop and mobile) so you will have the opportunity to be more familiar with the process before the page goes live.

When the products go live on Thursday morning there will be an option under the
December Daily® dropdown menu to shop (right now the main drop down menu is for the "Travel Collection" - that will be updated when the products go live).
When the December Daily® shopping experience is live you will see that we have broken the products down into four categories. Each one will have their own tab across the top of your browser window:
My Box, Kits + Albums, Stamping, Embellishments, Paper.
My Box: This is where your products will appear after you have checked out using the box in the top right.
Kits + Albums: Includes kits, albums, page protectors.
Stamping: Includes stamps, inks, stencil + paint, pens.
Embellishments: Includes chipboard, stickers, embellishments, etc.
Paper: Includes journal card sets,, transparencies, etc.
Checkout: Once you have added any items to your box a sixth tab will appear in red. You can click this to checkout or use the red button under your box in the top right corner. You will also be able to check out via the red box icon on the top right corner.
When the products are live you will be able to click on any product image and will be taken to a product page that includes a description and additional product details. You will also be able to add to your box from the main shopping page (as you see above) or from the individual product page.
When you add an item to your box from this main shopping page the red "add to box" will temporarily turn green showing you that the item has been added to your box. It will return to red enabling you to add more if you want of that product.
PLEASE NOTE: I highly recommend identifying the items you are most interested in and checking out with those things first. Let's say you know for sure you want an album + the Main Kit and a chipboard bundle. Add those three items to your "DD cart" (the red box icon in the top right) and then go through the checkout process to secure those items. Those items will then appear in your "My Box" tab - as will any additional items you add to your "DD cart" and "checkout" before the 24th. Items in your "DD cart" aren't secure until you have actually checked out.
The above screen shot shows where your "DD cart" is located while you are shopping the December Daily® products. You will not be able to add products from my regular shop to this cart - it is a completely separate cart for December Daily® during the Order Selection Period.
You can adjust the amount of the item you want to order or remove the item from your box (o
nly before checking out) in this area. Please make sure to double-check your quantities before checking out.
Once you have clicked "checkout" and gone through that process your products will then appear under the "My Box" tab.
Above is a screenshot of the checkout page for desktop users. With our simplified shipping this year (flat rate $5 for domestic and $20 international) you will be charged this flat fee the first time you check out. After that it will note "PAID" in green for "Box Bundle Shipping" on any future checkouts.
Did you know that almost 50% of you use a mobile device for shopping on my site?
Here's a look at what you will see on your mobile device. These are images from last year but the functionality will work the same with the new collection. Again, the navigation between the different categories will be right there along the top:
From this screen you are able to add products directly to your box by clicking the small box icon under the product. The small red box in the upper right corner is what you currently have in your "DD cart." Once you complete the checkout process your products will then be viewable under "My Box" in the main navigation.
You will also be able to click on the individual product to see more images or get more details:
If you are shopping from a mobile device you will have an option when you are checking out to "Check Out Right Away"
OR to scroll down to review your details before checking out. Please note that once you have completed checkout you will not be able to remove items or edit order. Please be sure to review your order quantities before checking out.
The Order Selection Period for December Daily® begins on Thursday, September 3rd at 7am PDT and will end on September 24th. After the Order Selection Period closes we will box up your order and ship it to you.
Make sure you have an updated credit card and shipping address on file with us and that you are signed in under your "My Account" before starting to shop. Go do that now.
Once you have checked out you CAN NOT remove products from your box or edit your order. Customer Service will not be able to make adjustments to your order after you have checked out. Please verify the numbers of product placed before checking out - you will be able to see an adjust the quantity of an item before you check out via the box icon on the top right of your page.
The project will always be more important than the products.
You will be able to use Paypal or Gift Cards for the December Daily® Box Orders this year.
If there are complications my team will be working to solve them as quickly as possible. SIMPLIFIED SHIPPING RATES
For 2020 the Box Shipping rates will be as follows:
$5 Domestic Flat Rate
$20 International Flat Rate
This will be charged on your first "checkout" and that will be the only time you are charged shipping. After that if you checkout again under "Box Bundle Shipping" it will say "PAID."
My hope is that in sharing this information with you today it will help you have a better idea of what the shopping experience will look like. Please let me know if you have any questions below.

December Daily® 2020 | Schedule
It's that time of year around here where we get ready to share with you all the fun products we've created for December Daily®.
As in the past years we will be offering an
Order Selection Period using a box-ordering system. Products will go live on September 3rd, 2020 at 7am Pacific and you will be able to add products to your box until September 24th. I'll be sharing a How It Works post on August 31st that outlines this special shopping set up.
Make sure to follow the December Daily® instagram account for previews of this year's products.
We are so excited to embark on this project again with you this year and to offer products designed to support your December storytelling.
Here's a look at the schedule of events, releases, etc:
Friday, August 28th | Blog post with overview videos of all the Add On options this year to help you plan what you might need for telling your stories this year (basically everything except the kits and albums). Monday, August 31st | How It Works blog post live. This will walk you through the shopping process - this will be very similar if not exactly the same as last year. Wednesday, September 2nd | Blog post here that shows you the full contents of the kits and video walk-throughs before they go live on the 3rd. We will also post a shopping/price list with this post to help you with planning. Thursday, September 3rd | December Daily® Order Selection Period begins at 7am Pacific. Products are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited. The Order Selection Period will end on September 24th at 11:59pm Eastern. Thursday, September 3rd | December Daily® Product Play 4 workshop registration opens. Sign up during the Order Selection Period and get $3 off the class fee. All new content with three new things this year focusing on triangles, transparency, and texture. Check out previous December Daily® Product Play workshops here: December Daily® Product Play (circles, hearts, stars), December Daily® Product Play 2 (trees, tags, words), and December Daily® Product Play 3 (hexagons, numbers, wreaths). Project Life® 2020 | June
Continuing right along with documenting 2020 in my
monthly Project Life album.
In looking back through my June photo archives I see a lot of fun outdoor activities
and I also see a bunch of Instagram story shares relating to racial justice + empathy. To tell the story of this month I decided to print and include a handful of those shares/words right alongside our daily life photos. In the past I haven't always included current events in my memory keeping and my thoughts on that are evolving.

Here's a look at June in my album:
As a unifying element this month I used the "loving" stamp from the June Stories By The Month kit (
digital version available here). I loved how the small number circle chipboard pieces fit right on top of the "o" in "loving." I used random office-supply style labels as the home for the stamp + chipboard + journaling.
For my title card this month I used the
"love/peace/empathy/justice/equality" stamp from Azzari Jarrett (and a random tiny star stamp I found on my desk) using the following ink colors: Honeyman, Willamette, Tillamook, and Olympia. Using stamps to create your own patterns is the best!
I also included some longer stories this month (copied + pasted from Instagram posts) by creating flip-ups that function outside of the page protectors. I use washi tape to create these flip-ups and take advantage of the extra space under the top photo for an additional photo. I almost always add an
Avery Index Tab along the edge as well.
For this one I also need to use a craft knife to cut a slit in the page protector in order for this flip-up to function.
I love grids! On top of my photo enlargement I arranged my embellishments and then used a Precision Pen to draw the grid directly onto my photo. Loved adding those small circle stickers on top of the wood veneer suns from the June Stories By The Month kit.
My middle spread is my way of honoring + telling the story of what was on my mind and heart in June. I chose to tell this story by including a collection of words that I had shared via my stories on Instagram back in June. When I share/re-share something in Stories on Instagram those are saved to my camera roll and I'm able to resize and print them to fit into the pockets in Photoshop.
For the full page enlargement I
used word art from Azzari Jarret paired with a free timeline resource that was shared by Persnickety Prints. The "change is coming" is a sticker from Kelly Purkey's shop.
My third spread for June includes a bunch of 3x4 photos from the month with the "loving" stamp and small chipboard number circle embellishment.
Because I had more than 10 photos I also added a couple metal rimmed circle tags + stickers/chipboard on a few of the photos.
My second flip-up includes some word art and text from an Instagram post I shared in June and the card underneath is designed by
Salomee for Kelly Purkey's shop.

Transitions Story Theme + September Stories By The Month
This month we are focusing on stories related to the theme of Transitions.
Here are a few thoughts about this particular theme:
Transitions are a big part of each of our lives. Some of them are big + some are so small that we barely notice them. Some are super, super hard and others are easy. Documenting and telling the stories of our transitional times (either while it’s happening or after the fact) help us savor what is real in our lives and identity the lessons learned.

AE Creative Team | ROAM Story Kit™
