Winter Workload

I’m barely getting my monthly post up for November. It has been an insanely busy month with personal and creative things vying for my time. December and January promise more of the same. However, I do have a brand new sneak peek at City of the Gods: Ambassador for you. I deleted anything that could be a spoiler, so look on with no worries!

A Writer’s Wild Life

[image error]A writer is a little like a wolf. Sometimes she’s “lone,” writing solo works. Other times she’s part of a pack, working on an anthology.

Not hard to guess what I’m promoting this month, is it? The werewolf short story anthology by Dreampunk Press now has an official title: Go Ahead and Howl. This project raises funds for Marscon 2018’s official charity, the Heritage Humane Society.

I previously shared a sneak peek to my Utopea tie-in story “Growlabouts.” I have since penned a second independ...

Picking Time

My August update has been delayed. I’ve been waiting to officially announce a new City of the Gods Universe release. However, if I stall much longer, it will be September. So for this month’s article, I’m looking back at what’s already available. One of the things our team is very proud of is the depth of our product line, which crosses genres and offers something to almost every kind of fan.

City of the Gods stories appear as:

Novels Short Story Anthologies Comics “Making of” Books Audiobo...

Sneak Peek: Mania Series Book 2

Squeaky readers get the sneaks! I’ve been hearing from a good number of you that you’re more than ready to discover what happens to Gaius, Argus, and their companions. At the end of Mother of Ghosts, we left them under threat of deadly violence at the reclaimed temple of a horrific goddess. Over the last few weeks, I’ve finished plotting out the next volume in the series, entitled A Fall of Green Peaches. Without giving too much away, I can tell you some of the overall themes in book two and...

Ever Used a Sanborn Map For Gaming?

What do I love more than writing about fictional places? Creating maps and background resource material for them to be used in role playing games! Today is “Free RPG Day” at many gaming stores. I’m late to the party, but you won’t find any Utopea materials in stores at this time anyway. To get your hands on those, you need to subscribe to my newsletter.

I’m happy to give you a sneak peek at a piece of the Utopea role playing supplement that will be available in the future. I have been working...

Summer Convention Season Is Here!

Although 2017 is the year that I personally decided to take a break from attending conventions, that doesn’t mean you can’t get an in-person look at the latest novel in the City of the Gods Universe. Our beloved interior and cover designer Steve Crompton will be bringing a very special sneak preview to Phoenix ComicCon May 25 – 28th.

This 32-page chapbook contains several chapters from the third and final novel, Ambassador. You’ll catch up with our heroes, get a peek at the villains’ new pla...

Spring Revival – Return of the Newsletter

Long-time readers will recall that my author newsletter has been on hiatus for quite some time. I’ve relied on this blog and Facebook to keep everyone connected. However, I know that many of you who follow my page on Facebook are missing out on some great content due to the way Facebook chooses what posts you get to see. (They want me to buy their advertising to reach you, you see!) So to make things a little easier for all of us, and to build a tighter, more engaged and fun community, I am...

Seeing My Shadow

[image error] Happy Groundhog Day! The little critter saw his shadow, so legend decrees that winter will hang on for six more weeks. I’ll treat that as an extended creative deadline, for when spring and warmer weather come along it’s even harder for me to keep myself at work at my writing desk. My list of unfinished projects drag behind me like a darkening shadow, things that I would like to complete yet am having trouble devoting time to. I suppose that’s the mixed blessing of having so many interests th...
