Greetings of the Season

I once had a blog series that featured really strange greeting card images from years long past. The images were truly in the “what were they thinking” vein. Before the holidays completely escape my grasp, I’d like to share two of these weird cards. Draw your own conclusions, and have a much happier Christmas and New Years than the characters shown here!

I Know What I Like

I spent the end of the summer learning how to live stream and integrate my content into Twitch TV’s gaming platform. Now that I have been broadcasting my video game show nine hoursa week for over two months, I can honestly say that streaming is my favorite way to interact with followers. I’m “talkingtowhee” on Twitch. Here’s my channel banner:

When viewers enter my chat room during a show, I can speak directly to them, find out their interests, and engage them personally. Twitter follows and...

Halloween BOO-K Sale

Halloween is next week and that got me thinking about all the spooky things in my recent books. Becausethe day whenwe celebrate goblins and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night is nearly upon us, I decided to share some of the scary things you will encounter in three of my titles – and offer you special deals on them all.

Let’s start with Mother of Ghosts. Obviously, this title is all about the supernatural. The story kicks off with a ghostly murder and travels a twisted road of haun...

Dragon Con, A Fall Update, & Twitch Debut

I'm ready for battle at Dragon Con 2016! Photo By Hacklight PhotographyReady for battle at Dragon Con 2016! Photo By Hacklight Photography

Another Dragon Con has come and gone, and it remains the best (and only) convention I always try to attend. Recently I was asked what makes it different from any of the other big events such as San Diego Comic Con, NYCC, PAX, Wizard’s World, etc. The easiest way to answer this is to look at the structure. While other large conventions are built around the guests, the products (movies, comics, etc.), and a centralized mass gat...

Times Are Tough; But Card Games Are Fun!

18fdid The Kickstarter campaign for Awkward Compliments has about three weeks left to run. That means you’ll be hearing a lot about this card game that matches people, places and things to the most innapropriate and crazy kudos. We’ve had a bit of trouble getting the word out with most gaming enthusiasts attending GenCon, cosplayers prepping for Dragon Con, film fans experiencing Suicide Squad, and everyone else playing Pokemon GO. Kickstarters fail without a broad base of fans sharing the word. So...

Summer GO

cogGOJuly of 2016 will certainly be remembered for the Pokemon Go craze. I think it’s a fantastic game, although not one that appeals to me. I’ve never been hooked by games that are focused on collecting things and leveling up. I’m too much of an anarchist at heart. Ticking off boxes and walking down set story paths is too directed and mundane for me. Even when it comes to role playing games, I’d much rather play in a system like Call of Cthulhu (my favorite) where my characters are highly likely...

City of the Gods: Ambassador News

In my May update, I promised a new sneak peek from the conclusion of City of the Gods. M. Scott Verne and I have been fiercely writing the third book, Ambassador, and the time has come to treat our trilogy’s fans to another preview. The following scene features the deities Shiva and Lamasthu – and contains no spoilers for those who may have not yet read Forgotten or Guardian. I invite you to join the gods aboard Shiva’s flying Vimana, a temple on the back of an immense golden bird, the spirit...

Pin To Win!

This contest runs through the entire month of May! Read to the end of this post for details on how to enter and win.

One of the changes I made recently to my website included redesigning my product catalog. Feedback from my customers indicated that they would like more specific links to purchase different versions of books and comics rather than general ones to specific retailers. Now, when you click on a book’s title link, you will see more than one link. Just choose the link for specific fo...
