Camelot: Day 6 - Morgan (Eva Green)

This was a toss up. I couldn't decide who should go next. Morgan or Guinevere.

While I have to admit, Green is a capable actress. I really HATED her character. Yes, I imagine that I was supposed to. But, it still didn't sit well with me.

I know many say that Morgan and Merlin were the "meat" of the show and are what held it together -- I just don't know. I think they could have written her so much better and not quite as *nasty* and strange.

Other than that, I guess I just really...

Six Sentence Sunday #11

Happy July.

This week's six is is a little look into book 2 from the Deep in the Trenches military romance series - Camouflage Between the Sheets (WIP)

By the time she had finished, she had tears trickling down her cheek. She'd said all that she could, now it was in his hands.Jake reached over and wiped the tear from her cheek. So, that's why she didn't want him inside. Did he really come across so materialistic? He could take care of her---and how he wanted to do just that.

Thanks for stopping...

Camelot: Day 5 - King Arthur (Jamie Campbell Bower)

Well, of course he has to be next. He was a character I was least impressed with. I understand they're starting with a young King Arthur, one who didn't know he was meant to be King. One who had no clue what he was meant to do with the rundown place he was told he would bring to greatness.

For me, he was simply too feminine for the role of someone who was to be a great King -- someone who was going to bring the people together.

I'm going off of any version of history you mean to tell. A Ki...

Camelot: Day 4 - Merlin (Joseph Fiennes)

I can't even begin to say how inappropriate it would be for me to discuss the characters of Camelot without having Joseph's character, Merlin, first.

His character (for me, anyway) made the show. The acting was brilliant. Merlin is such a complex character...I almost think he could have his own show. He struggles within himself for so many reasons. None are completely spelled out in 10 episodes, of course...but my interpretation was/is that his magic almost holds him hostage...there's a cost t...

Thursday TV 19: Bones

This is another show I was really late to start watching. After watching a season of it, I even went and picked up all the books. Anyway, those who like this show can stop by soon to catch up on some early Bones chat. Anyone know when it's going to be back on this season? Or have I missed a ton of it?

Camelot: Day 3 - The Real Camelot

You've had a little break from the Camelot posts and I hope it sees everyone ready and fresh for another round. Today is the REAL Camelot:

In the medieval tales of King Arthur, Arthur is said to have ruled form a magnificent city called Camelot.  Unfortunately, the writers disagree on its location and its whereabouts has long remained a mystery.
However, wherever it was, the city would not have been called Camelot during the historical Arthur’s time.  The name Camelot...
