I read the Starbound trilogy about a month ago ( still not over it
There are some scenes and elements that I can explain with pinpoint accuracy, and articulate exactly why they were included and crafted the way they were. The Butterfly Waltz in Their Fractured Light is not one of these elements. This question reminds me just how much of my writing is still instinct, instead of logical craft!

To be honest, authors have very little say in when their books are released, at least when working with traditional publishing houses. (Obviously, small presses and self-published authors work differently!) I’m actually quite delighted with this pub date for Hunted, as it falls in the same week as the release of the new Beauty and the Beast movie–serendipity, as far as I can tell. (Though the people at @harpercollins and @epicreads are really clever, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if some...
