B&N Guy: Hi! Can I help you find something?
Me: Actually, my name's Meagan Spooner, and I'm an author. I was just stopping in to see if you'd like me to sign some stock!
B&N Guy: Oh, that's wonderful! I'll grab the books for you.
Me: It's a co-authored series, so it's listed under Kaufman instead of Spooner.
B&N Guy: *gets books*
Me: *signs books* Great, thank you!
B&N Guy: Thank you, Ms. Kaufman!
Me: _

This book is amazing; however, it’s also the reason I will never go into space! #thesebrokenstars #starbound #amiekaufman #meaganspooner #book

It’s okay. I will never go into space either. Not least because I’m six feet tall and astronauts are freaking tiny, man. (Also I am afraid of both heights AND flying. So… let’s be realistic, here.)

Jubilynn!! Love it.

We definitely were not thinking ahead when we named Lilac and Tarver. Any couple name that shortens to an internal organ is really not an acceptable ship name.

I wonder what Sofia and Gideon’s would be?

Any suggestions about scientific books about stars/constellations/galaxies ?

For a complete beginner, I’d recommend The Universe and Beyondby Terence Dickinson. It’s a pretty good general overview of the known universe, and explains things clearly and concisely—and while it’s easy to understand, it’s still got tons of information. It also has lots of pretty pictures, which I love, because space is freaking gorgeous. Make sure you get the latest edition, because it gets updated every few years with recent discoveries. For constellations and star-gazing from Earth, Night...
