Hello Meagan :) I was re-reading the Starbound Trilogy And I thought of this question, not only for the Starbound books but also for Skylark: Why did you choose the characters' names like you did? Lilac, Tarver, Jubilee, Flynn, Sofia, Gideon, Lark, Oren, A

Well, firstly, @amiekaufman came up with Tarver, Flynn, and Gideon’s names. So you’ll have to ask her about them!

Lark and Oren have symbolic names. There’s bird and cage imagery throughout the Skylark trilogy, and the lark is, of course, a bird.
