Rupert’s organ isn’t happy with the one-state solution for Israel/Palestine

The Murdoch press has long been a virulent and blind supporter of Israel, regardless of the Jewish state’s endless occupation of Palestine and massacres in Gaza.

In a recent column for The Australian newspaper, former editor Chris Mitchell has a few concerns:

Apparently it’s just a few radicals who think that Israel is a colonial power in the heart of the Middle East.

New York’s News Beat interrogates the Palestine lab

Speaking at the 2024 Jaipur Literature Festival

The Jaipur Literature Festival in India is the biggest writer’s event in the world (there were around 440k people attending in 2023).

I was a guest at this year’s festival and it was an overwhelming and invigorating event.

I spoke about my book, The Palestine Laboratory, Gaza, Jewish identity and critical journalism in a time of growing authoritarianism.

My events generated a lot of Indian media coverage.

The Palestine Laboratory launches in Spanish edition

The Spanish translated edition of my book, The Palestine Laboratory, is now out with Capitan Swing.

Unlike some other European nations, pro-Palestine sentiment in Spain is strong. This surely explains the huge amount of interest I’m receiving from the country.

I love the original artwork on the cover, too.

The Palestine Laboratory arrives in South African edition

I’m happy to announce the release of The Palestine Laboratory in South Africa, published by the great independent outfit, Jacana.

For a country with a deep understanding of racial discrimination and memory of Israel supporting the country’s apartheid regime until the end, something I examine in my book, it’s an honour for my words to reach a large audience in South Africa.

The Palestine Laboratory wins People’s Choice Award at 2024 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards

I was honoured to recently win the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards, one of the leading writing prizes in Australia, for my book, The Palestine Laboratory.

The Guardian reports:

This year’s people’s choice award went to The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World by Antony Loewenstein. The book received 39% of all votes cast, with this year’s total tally of 1,567 public votes more than double that of last year.

I gave a speech that received a huge response online and in person. It starts at 29:00.
