The Latin Lady

The final turkey leg has been whisked away in a late night snack attack. Tucked into the folds of a leftover crescent roll, the last thick slice of white meat was laid to rest in a halo of creamy mayo. Maybe even a fading gobble was heard as stray hunks of mixed meats swam through grandma’s a cheesy noodles delight. What I’m trying to say, folks…   Thanksgiving is ov-ah.   Soooo,   String up the lights and hang your wreaths, ‘cuz there’s a new holiday in town. She smells like cinnamon and

One Divine Moment at a Time

Cripes. I lost my bagels!   And, FYI, not just any bagels. Rather, my gluten-free, fresh off the rack, everything, bagels. The delicious package of baked goodies I had specifically purchased just for a day like today   Dang.   You see, as I write this, me and my better half are coming off a five-day, partial fast. I’d rather not delve into the details of this fast, because knowing my history, I will seriously digress. Suffice it to say, on a monthly basis, me and hubby adhere to a strict and

Eeep! And, OMgosh!!   So, you're familiar with author, Meradeth Houston, right? (If you're not, get your butt over to Amazon and download every one of her books, cuz she's DA BOMB!)  Anyway, I love, love, love her stuff. Reading ANY book by Meradeth is as delicious and satisfying as... fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies... baked by mom!   Anyway, she has a new book releasing  August 4th....Eeeep! (did I already say that?) AND, I've been given the high honor of revealing the cover to

Where's That Girl?

Howdy Folks!   You may--or may not--have noticed that, other than a few swarthy sellers on Amazon willing to part with a softcover of IMPERVIOUS for forty-something bucks, copies of this book are a bit hard to come by... softcover, Kindle or otherwise.    Why is that?   So glad you asked! In order for The Ascension Series take a giant leap forward, it was necessary for Fran to take a mini step backwards.   So, right now, for a seaon, we are experiencing an IMPERVIOUS famine. I know, I know!!

Eeeep! Alliances!!

Piracy is a Game. Whom do you trust?   Lyssa Peate has found a tenuous balance between her double lives - the planet-discovering scientist and space pirate bounty hunter named Razia. No longer on probation, Razia still struggles to be thought of as more than a chocolate-fetching joke, and Lyssa can’t be truthful to those closest to her. But both lives are turned upside-down when feisty government investigator Lizbeth Carter shows up to capture the same pirate Razia is after. Lizbeth’s not

Draco...whats?

Today we're talkiing dragons, boys and bullies in Paul Smith's Draconauts!    The creature hiding in the barn can’t exist. Fifteen-year-old Jason Hewes knows it’s impossible. A live dinosaur would be more believable; at least dinosaurs once roamed the land which is now the Hewes Montana farm. But this beast from legend? Quite impossible—although it doesn’t seem to be going away just because it shouldn’t exist.   Jason is about to reevaluate what is or isn’t possible. His discovery is very real,

Eeeeeep! The Bone Treaty!

This blog has been hijacked by T.C. McKee! (I had to do it. I wanted to tell everybody about my new book...Cuz that’s what people with new books do, right?)   I mean, just check out this cover!   Blurb: Addie Heaton’s not your average high school student. Orphaned at two, she’s spent most of her life reading the emotions of others. It’s a little trick she likes to call color-vision. But lately, a stranger has been trailing her, putting off shades of black and red—colors Addie hasn’t seen since
