My Teacher Has Tattoos

My Teacher Has Tattoos My Teacher Has Tattoos by Darren López

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"My Teacher Has Tattoos" is about how things aren't always what they seem and eliminating stereotypes. Perfect for classrooms, it gets you thinking about prejudices and social divides while being a fun read. The author's creative, which is why the story is so appealing. The story is heartwarming, especially with those adorable illustrations. It's based on the real-life experience of a teacher-the author. Highly recommended.

The Drama Llama

The Drama Llama The Drama Llama by Rachel Morrisroe

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was a total joy to read, especially with those awesome illustrations that kids will love. The book has some helpful tips for dealing with anxiety and does a great job of encouraging kids to talk about their feelings with someone they trust. It's all wrapped up in a hilarious story featuring a llama that's all about drama. It's a clever way to show how getting tangled up in drama isn't good and can cause a lot of trouble. It shows how reaching out for help and talking things through is way better than keeping it all locked up inside.

Riley Finds His Beat

Riley Finds His Beat Riley Finds His Beat by Davina Hamilton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Riley loves drumming but can’t seem to get the rhythm right. His mom, a drummer, is always there to cheer him on and help him out. This book shows how music can bring a family closer and how hard work pays off. Riley learns from his grandpa’s wisdom and his mom’s encouragement. He realizes that he shouldn’t give up but keep practicing and be patient. This is a great story for kids who love music or who need a boost of confidence. The pictures are awesome and match the mood of the story.

Mommy, Where do babies come from?

Mommy, Where Do Babies Come From? Mommy, Where Do Babies Come From? by Robert Roper

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The pictures in this book are just beautiful, and Sarah looks so pretty! It rhymes too! Reading it feels easy and poetic. It's all about how babies come into the world, perfect for family time. I like the words they chose. It's like they knew exactly what kids would ask about. The illustrations capture those sweet moments between moms and their kids. From start to finish, it's like a handbook for every parent facing the big question: "Where do babies come from?" It's written by a doctor, so you know it's legit. They break down how babies grow inside their moms, with cool pictures showing every step. And the ending? Heartwarming.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Bud

Bud Bud by Ann Fleming

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Bud" really gets you thinking about how life is all about change. It's kind of sad; but also makes you reflect on how we all go through transformations. The story, told from the perspective of a lively leaf, is beautiful and thought-provoking. It talks about the constant flow of energy in life and how even though things change, life's essence never really goes away. It's deep stuff, but it's told in a way that makes you stop and consider the big picture.
