My Cork Board Keeps Me Informed and on Track

Cork Board

I respond well to visual stimuli, so I began keeping a cork board of inspirational pictures and notes near my desk a few years ago. I didn’t even spend a lot of money on it, I think it was $5.00 at Goodwill. I don’t update the pictures on it often, only when I need some extra juice, but the effect is immediate and strong. I’m sure the process of cutting out pictures from magazines is not new to you, but I figured I would share my process with you just for...

“I don’t have the money I need to start my business.” Are you making up obstacles regarding money?

Start where you are. What you need to work on will automatically illuminate. Photo by Rachel Andrews

I have heard plenty of people say that they would have their dream job if they only had the money to start a business. This is a nice thought, but it’s also an easy excuse. There are several steps that come before the investment phase in starting a business. What I would ask you if this scenario applies to you is, “if you were an investor, would you invest in your business?” In other words, are...

The Developmental Stages of Psychic Talent and how that Relates to Confidence

Some elements in nature develop over time, while others flow right by. Photo by Rachel Andrews

To all you established and emerging psychic wonder-adults out there, I have something very important to let you in on. Even the most experienced, highest paid, most revered, and internationally celebrated psychic phenoms have doubted themselves for years and probably still do from time to time. Why? Because having confidence is a choice, not something that automatically comes with being talented. It...

I’m Having a Moment

Ever have the kind of day that is inspired and wonderful and full of love and open communication? That’s the kind of day I had today. Last night I wrote this beautiful note and felt compelled to share it with my friends on the Sephyrus Newsletter list. I was hoping that the email would provide a bit of unexpected support, like a virtual hug. I was surprised by the responses I got from it, which were all very positive and appreciative of the words. One person said that she “really needed to he...

What really gets you mad?

Aspen

Why isn’t the economy getting better and why is Congress at a standstill and why do we have such uninspiring candidates to choose from? Why are people still buying Velveeta and why do people buy into the propaganda about corn syrup? What kinds of questions are you asking yourself or others these days? What ticks you off? I ask you this because what ever it is, comes from you. You can look outside yoursel...

Visualization – How I Learned a Slippery New Skill

Concrete Lily

Sometimes what we see isn’t what we expect. Photo by Rachel Andrews

I have to admit to being a late bloomer when it comes to visualization. Even after I could see energy with my third eye on a consistent basis, doing any seeing with my eyes closed was still very difficult. I remember doing an experiment with a friend in high school. He was very gifted at astral projection so we decided that he would project over to my room and I would look for him. Then, when he was done, we’d call each other...

An Interview with Author & Healer, Maya Cointreau

Maya CointreauThe following is an interview with Maya Cointreau. She has authored several books on healing for humans and animals, and runs several workshops at Earth Lodge, her holistic health center in Roxbury, CT. Check out her full bio at the bottom of the page for more information and links to her work. I met Maya five years ago when I started doing readings at Hygeia Metaphysical Bookstore and Healing Center, which she co-owned with Ruth Abbott. Since then, we have both grown and honed our skills. Th...

Dragonfly Pals – Interpreting Clues from the Environment

Dragonfly

It was last summer that my first bug triage unit was formed. Two damselflies had gotten stuck in a spider web on a dock I was swimming near. Luckily, I was with a friend, so we each quickly freed one of the damselflies and began the laborious task of cleaning their wings of the sticky spider silk.

I was immediately shocked by how trusting these creatures were. They both clung t...
