Story ExcerptFelix was about to say something to his rude mate when Rebecca popped into the tent.“Hey, Doc, do you have any human blood?” she asked. Claybourne nodded.“I’ve been keeping a stock of it since it’s neutral to shifters and vampires,” he said putting the bandage rolls into a neat row.“Can I have a bag of it?” she asked. He nodded again and pointed to the small portable medical mini fridge. She went over, grabbed a bag, and left. Felix watched the entire thing in gross fascination.“You didn’t even ask why she needed it,” he said, watching as his mate started organizing the bandages into three rows of four instead of four rows of three.“It’s Rebecca, sometimes it’s better not to ask,” he said, sounding distracted. Felix walked over and bent his head slightly to stare at his mate’s ass. Feeling slightly mischievous he reached out and grabbed a solid handful of his mate’s round, muscular cheek. Claybourne gave an undignified yelp and turned to face Felix. He was about to say something when Rebecca raced back in.“Hey, Doc, can a human ingest small, diluted amounts of human blood?” she asked, She gawked at Claybourne’s flushed face before looking over to Felix. “Yes.” Claybourne’s voice broke and he cleared his throat. “Yes, in small amounts human blood is safe to ingest,” His voice returning to its normal lower octave.“Yes!” she said as she raced back out. Claybourne watched her leave, and a thoughtful look came over his face.“Okay I have to admit, I’m intrigued,” he said, facing Felix wearing the first real smile Felix had seen since walking into the tent. Felix could feel his inner animal morph into a tiger. He was reacting to being close to Claybourne.“Tell me you feel it too,” Felix said quietly. A shocked look appeared on Claybourne’s face.“Of course I do. All I can think about is getting you on the closest flat surface, but seeing as how you and I are the only medically trained people in town, we cannot disappear on Field Day of all days,” Claybourne said as his breathing became shallower. His eyes shifted from his normal crystalline blue to a light sky blue.“I thought you were a tiger,” Felix asked, feeling his body respond to his mate’s growing need.“I am. I’m a white Bengal tiger. My eyes are blue, not the normal orange of a regular Bengal,” Claybourne explained.“I’m a hybrid,” Felix said He looked down, unsure how his mate would react.“I think that hybrids are the very best that shifters can be,” Claybourne said. Felix felt tears prick his eyes. Being a hybrid had opened him up to scorn before, and he was relieved that his mate accepted him as he was.“And of course your genetics and physiology are fascinating,” Claybourne said, turning back to his table. Felix was looking around for something to hit his mate with when David and Daniel came running into the tent, Roman hot on their heels. The twins ducked behind Claybourne, trying to use him as a shield.“You do know I won’t help you, right?” he said dispassionately.“Yeah, but if Roman does to us what he is threatening to do, we want you close by,” Daniel quipped. Seconds later an annoyed Gabriel glided into the tent. He stood next to Roman who was glaring at the twins.“Ah, it’s the sarcastic doctor. You didn’t by chance give Daniel and David blood did you?” Gabriel asked walking up to stand next to Roman who was glaring at the twins.“Of course not. I gave the blood to Rebecca,” Claybourne said reasonably. Gabriel pinched the bridge of his nose.“It’s actually not bad,” Rebecca said, licking an ice cream cone as she walked into the tent.“Wait, is there blood in the ice cream?” Felix asked as he watched Rebecca lick the cold treat. She nodded.“Yup. I saw that some ice cream parlor out on the west coast has been using animal blood in ice cream. I thought that since this is a shifter town that might not be a good idea, so we used human blood for the vampires. It’s actually pretty good,” she said, looking at her ice cream cone, then she looked at Gabriel. Standing on tiptoe she pushed it onto his lips. He simply stared down at her with an eyebrow raised, the smear of ice cream on his face taking away from his normally regal appearance. Reluctantly he licked his lips and a surprised expression came over his face.“You two made this?” he asked. The twins nodded.“I’ll have to call Ms.Brayburn back and apologize for the shock she had when she saw the twins pouring blood from a medical bag into the ice cream machine. She was complaining about wanting her chocolate ice cream to Ashby who then in turn called me since he knew I was here on the vampire panel we created to answer questions from the townspeople. I’ll also have to buy Ashby new equipment for the shop,” Gabriel said, glaring at the twins before reaching for Rebecca’s ice cream cone and taking a bite.“That way we can keep the equipment you used today at the coven house to make more. This is truly decadent.” Gabriel held the ice cream cone in one hand and with the other offered the crook of his elbow to Rebecca who took it daintily. Rebecca winked at the twins before they both walked out. David and Daniel exhaled loudly.
Adult Excerpt“I’m going to get you to relax. Leave the mess. The world won’t end, I promise you.” Felix took their plates and put them on the coffee table. Claybourne stared at them. His right eye began to twitch slightly. He turned to Felix.“The kitchen is dirty.” He rubbed his hands on his pants leg. Felix boldly reached over to cup his mate’s crotch.“Dirty is good. Want to make me dirty?” Felix asked dropping his voice down to a whisper. He almost did a cartwheel when he saw his mate’s eyes fade to a light blue. His tiger’s eyes were coming out. Claybourne pushed Felix back and crawled over him. Felix had barely a moment to take a breath before Claybourne’s mouth was on his and taking away his sanity. Their tongues dueled and twined around each other. Felix had to pull back, and he reached down and adjusted his jeans which had become painfully tight.“Let’s go to the bedroom, I don’t want you damaged,” Claybourne said, grinning. Felix nodded and they both scrambled off the couch. Felix raced after Claybourne, grabbing his ass the entire way down the hall. When the cleared the door they both began stripping their clothes. Felix knew that Claybourne must be out of his mind with lust since he was tossing his clothes around the room. Claybourne, naked, turned to him, his prick jutting out from his body already leaking copious amounts of pre-cum down the hard length. Over the years trapped in his captor’s cage Felix had plenty of time to fantasize about his future mate. He had imagined everything from large bulky bears to lean lions, but nothing prepared him for the perfection of his tiger. The man stood nearly a foot over his own five foot five height and every inch of his body was covered in lean, tone muscles. His chest was dusted with dark hair that trailed downward and divided his six pack beautifully. Felix’s mouth began to water. The man had the body of a god. Claybourne walked around the bed to the nightstand, and pulled out a small bottle of lube. Claybourne threw the bottle to him. He caught it easily and waited until his mate was standing in front of him again. “Can I taste you?” he asked. Claybourne whimpered and nodded.“You never, ever have to ask that question. Forever and ever amen the answer is yes.” Claybourne grabbed the base of his shaft. Felix gave a sultry smile and began to sway his hips as he stalked forward before dropping to his knees before his mate.“Good, because I love to suck cock,” Felix admitted before swallowing his mate’s impressive length down. Above his head Felix heard an unintelligible chant of promises and curses. While holding the base of his mate’s cock in one hand he flicked open the bottle of lube with the other and began to work his fingers into his own hole, stretching himself. He groaned at the sensation of having his mate’s cock in his mouth as he played with his own ass. Felix reveled in the taste of his mate. He ran his tongue up and down the soft skin of the long shaft. He loved every line, tracing the thick heavy vein. He swirled his tongue around the spongy head before dipping his tongue into the slit. He hummed his satisfaction. His mate tasted like nectar.“Please stop, much more and I’ll come,” Claybourne begged, trying to catch his breath. Felix stood. “It’s a good thing I’m all stretched and ready for you. I don’t think I can wait another second to have this gorgeous cock in my ass.” Felix climbed onto the bed, and made sure he wiggled his ass every chance he got. Claybourne let out a loud rumble and pounced on him.“Turn over, my mate, I need to see you when I take you,” Claybourne said, his voice deep. Felix shivered when he saw that his mate’s canines were out. Felix rolled over onto his back and pulled his knees to his chest before spreading his legs wide. Claybourne stared down at him.“You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” he whispered.

BOUND BY DESIRE

Adult Excerpt
“I want to fuck your beautiful mouth,” Yanai said, tracing Trev’s bottom lip as he gently stroked his growing erection. Yanai had become his master almost a year ago by virtue of the lottery in Trev’s hometown of Quebec. He’d been scared at first, but it hadn’t taken him long to give in to the desire that permeated Yanai’s being.
Yanai was an alien from a special pleasure species that rarely walked out in public because of the unique pheromone that made them damn near impossible to resist. People tended to hound them, causing chaos wherever they roamed. Instead of leaving their homes, the gray men, a parasitic species of alien that had developed a symbiotic relationship to Tannara blood, served the Tannara like silent extensions. At least that was what the tutor had told him when he’d arrived. He hadn’t been much of anywhere but in Yanai’s quarters, first in his bedroom and then in his ship. They’d left Tannaran, Yanai’s home planet, over nine months ago, ironically enough destined for Earth. The real estate was apparently popular with far-universers.
“Yanai,” Trev breathed, arching his hips as Yanai kissed his neck. He nibbled Trev’s jawline, using the pointed tips of his fangs to tease him mercilessly. Trev had learned to crave Yanai’s bite like a stiff fuck.
The bite of a Tannara was just as enticing as the sweet scent they possessed that smelled a little like caramel and spun sugar. It didn’t help that the alien was a delicious-looking light purple that reminded him of blueberry ice cream and had the build of a fitness model. Even his hair was a darker shade of plum and constantly smelled sweet, whether or not he’d showered. But it was his eyes that were hypnotizing. An ethereal amethyst that could make someone forget all their troubles. Just because Yanai didn’t employ his charms on Trev didn’t mean he wasn’t aware of them.
What did I ever do to deserve you? Trev spread his thighs as Yanai muscled in between them in an effort to pleasure him more. The male’s knotted cock formed three perfect rings that vibrated when Yanai was engaged in sex. Trev loved being a slave to a living, breathing vibrator. But it wasn’t just Yanai’s beauty or his incredible dick that made Trev a very willing captive. He was just as sweet as his scent. The male was soft spoken and incredibly patient. He just wished that Yanai would let him in emotionally. They remained comfortable companions, but Yanai refused to even contemplate Trev’s romantic advances. Tannara didn’t do love as Trev understood it, and Yanai was a traditional Tannara.
Trev groaned, twisting as Yanai’s finger sank into his ass. “Tease. You don’t have time to fuck me.” He had a meeting with some new business associate in fifteen minutes. Yanai was a world communications builder, running and operating the communicative channels between Tannaran and the nine immediate worlds closest to it. Now that he was moving to Earth, the Eoean government was interviewing him to take over their communication channels as well.
“I might not. However, I have time for a bit of mutual pleasure.” Mutual pleasure usually meant he’d allow Trev to suck him until orgasm since ingesting his seed would leave Trev writhing in pleasure for at least half an hour. Yanai liked to sex him up and watch him lose his mind while he worked at the desk not ten feet away.
“You are so sexy,” Trev murmured, aching to say more than that. I love you. The words pounded in his mind with every beat of his heart. He just wished Yanai would accept it if he said it aloud. It was killing him to love the alien and get nothing in return.
“As are you, pet,” Yanai said, his voice as calm as water in a pond. He flopped onto the mattress beside him, palming his cock. “Suck.”
Saliva flooded his mouth, and he scrambled to obey the gentle order. He wrapped his hand around the base of Yanai’s cock at the same time he wrapped his mouth around the swollen head. The three holes along the slit were already dripping pre-cum, and Trev eagerly lapped them clean, groaning at the tingle that instantly washed over his tongue. He made sure to rub the raised ridges of Yanai’s length since they were the most sensitive parts of his cock.
Yanai wound his hands in Trev’s thick hair and fucked up into his mouth. “Pet,” he murmured, warmth and intensity entering into his body for the first time since they’d started. Please, just once, use my name. Call me Trevor. Call me Trev. Whichever you prefer, just use my name and let me know that it’s me you’re fucking. “Pet, your mouth is so delicious.”
BEHIND THE SCENESØ Do you write full-time or part-time?I’m a full time writer and I love it. It’s every writer’s dream job and I think I definitely lucked out on my current occupation. Ø Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?I get up, turn on the laptop, and do my busy work and goof around on Facebook for a little while before I start in on writing. The busy work can constitute just about anything other than writing including updating my website/blog, edits, or plotting out the story for the day. After that, I will work until my roommate comes home for lunch and then it’s back to work on the book until it’s time to start supper. I find I work best with a set schedule and word count to reach for the day. It’s harder for me to spend time doing unimportant tasks and turn around to find the day gone that way. Ø Do you write every day?I definitely write every day. Of course there are days I slack but I try not to let those happen too often. It’s important to me to give my characters face time and I feel obligated to my readers to keep giving them what they enjoy. Ø Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer just see where an idea takes you?I do a little bit of both I think. I plot my way through some things but there are always those moments when my characters go off the reservations and start twisting things in ways that I didn’t expect. Ø How do you think you’ve evolved creatively?I think I got into this business very open to whatever it would offer me. That allowed me to soak up a lot of other people’s advice and then apply it to my writing. In turn, my work matured a lot within the first few books and I got a lot more confident in my ideas because of that.

CAPTURED INNOCENCECSA CASE FILES, BOOK ONEAvailable at Amazon

Lauren Bailey, a local vendor of bejeweled erotic implements, lives vicariously through her clients due to her fear of bondage. When Connor’s dominant side can’t resist trying to ease her anxieties, she accepts his proposal and agrees to his one stipulation…keep things casual.
When the killer sets his sights on Lauren, Connor is forced to rethink their relationship. He has the training it takes to catch a murderer, but does he have the courage to escape his inner demons and capture Lauren’s heart? morning, he didn’t expect the latest case to hit so close to home. A submissive has been murdered in a particularly vicious manner and to bring her killer to justice, he must go undercover. Not hard to do considering he’s already part of the BDSM lifestyle.
EXCERPTLauren felt lightheaded at his command, and for a brief moment believed she’d faint if she followed it. The butterflies flying in her stomach wanted an escape and she was afraid she’d give them one. Slowly, she bent over to where she could grab her ankles. How was it that he hadn’t even touched her, yet she felt as if they’d just had sex for an hour? A light sheen of perspiration had already broken out over her body and her knees felt like jelly. Lauren forced herself to lock her knees in place.“You have a beautiful body,” Connor said, slowly walking around her. His bare feet came into her line of view and it struck her that they appeared masculine. The thought made her want to giggle, which was so unlike her. She wasn’t that type of woman, yet her emotions were running rampant. “Your crevice is curved with precision, while your rosebud is perfectly centered and lightly dusted with your red hair. The things I will show you will fulfill every dark fantasy you’ve ever had, Red.”Heat infused her body as wicked images flashed through her mind. Why wasn’t he touching her if he wanted to show her all of these things? Lauren could feel his heat from inches away and her anus throbbed with the need for contact. She’d never been introduced to anal play, mostly due to the fact the men she’d been with were vanilla in nature, but that didn’t mean she didn’t want to experience it. Again, why was he not touching her?“Palms flat on the floor and spread your legs wider,” Connor ordered, not moving from his position. “I want to see how well you shaved your pussy. I warn you now, should it not meet my satisfaction, that will only add to your count.”She was relatively sure that Connor knew his words would produce her pussy to cream. Lauren felt the moisture seep through her folds as her hands touched the hardwood floor in front of her. Shifting her feet farther apart, her juices slipped past and coated her inner thighs.“It pleases me to know that my voice alone can make you aroused,” Connor murmured, surprised her when he slid a finger through her lips. Spasms rocked her pussy, but he did nothing more. She heard him hum and knew that he’d tasted her. “Your flavor is unmistakable. I can’t seem to get enough, but right now we have other things to do. I want you to stand, walk over to the bed and situate yourself on the end of the mattress. You are to place your knees on the edge and keep them separated as wide as you can while your shoulders rest against the comforter. Your ass will be up in the air and exposed to me, while your arms are to either side of you.”Lauren took her time to stand, the lightheaded feeling have never fully gone away. She was having trouble slowing her heart rate and her mouth had gone completely dry. Did he plan to bind her arms to the mattress? Was that even possible? She didn’t have any type of contraption to do that, but then again, she wasn’t sure what the hair ties were to be used for. They felt no different to her than when she wore her watch on her left wrist. He’d placed them on her, so she assumed he had a reason for doing so.Making her way to the edge of the bed, Lauren tried to see what he’d placed on the chair. Was that her tube of lubricant that she kept in the spare bedroom for work? Zippers tended to get stuck and chains managed to become tangled...KY Jelly was a simple solution. But she knew his intentions would be totally different. She should be focused on what he had planned for the wrist ties, but her anus was pulsing with what he intended for the lube.“What were my instructions?” Connor asked, his voice in her right ear. The warmth of his breath caused her to tilt her head as shivers rolled through her. “At this rate, we’ll have to toss out counting how many spankings you obtain. Maybe I should integrate them within this scene. It might help you focus on me instead of what is on that chair.”Lauren wasn’t sure if she should answer or not, considering Connor had spoken after his initial question. Instead, she quickly climbed onto the bed and situated herself the way he required. The vulnerability of the position wasn’t lost on her. She gathered up the comforter in her fists for something to hold on to and wished her mental state had something similar. As it was, she felt as if she were in free-fall.“I think that is what we shall do, so that after our scene I can hold you and fall asleep peacefully. Knowing how we’ll both be satiated, mentally and physically, can be rather exhausting.” Connor walked over to the chair, but since her cheek was resting on the blanket, she couldn’t see what he’d grabbed. He walked back and continued until he was behind her. She resisted the urge to move her hips. “Have you experienced the pleasure of a butt plug, Red?”“No,” Lauren whispered. The sound of her voice seemed far away as blood rushed through her ears. She tried to attach his title to the word, but her long pause was evident. It seemed to give him so much power, yet that was what she wanted. “Sir.”“By the time this scene ends, your words will flow together nicely,” Connor said, his promise ringing through the air. “Now, I’ll ask once again to give you more practice. Have you ever experienced the pleasure of a plug?”Lauren’s breath caught as she felt his finger brush over her tight ring. In a whoosh of air, her words came rushing out. She’d never been touched there by a man.“No, Sir, I haven’t.”“Now, see, wasn’t that easier?” Connor asked. She heard the familiar click of the tube, knowing he’d flicked it open with his thumb.

CHERISHED 1: EXILE

Within twenty-four hours of meeting the demi-god Finn Bryant, Declan’s understanding of the world turns upside down, and he finds himself face-to-face with the superstitions he has tried to escape from over the span of his adult life. Filled with a mysterious and enigmatic hunk, passionate love, and the threat of certain death, the strange town of Cherish will put Declan through a gauntlet of turmoil that leads up to a final realization that may just be enough to unravel his very sanity.
STORY EXCERPT
“You have to be shitting me. Excuse my language, but that is the biggest lie I have ever heard. I heard the rumors about all the women that want you in town,” Declan sputtered about before his brain could even think to stop those words.
Finn simply laughed in that carefree kind of way and went about fixing his plate. If it was one thing the other had beyond good looks and an obvious sense of humor, it was an appetite. He watched on in awe, yet again at his neighbor, as he piled his plate high. He couldn’t say that he didn’t understand, for the man looked like a sheer powerhouse of physical prowess and well-defined muscle. By the time he sat the brown dish back in front of him, Declan couldn’t even see a single bit of the plate’s visible surface for the sheer amount of food that was on it. He in turn fixed his own serving, but it was one that hardly matched Finn’s in volume.
“It’s the truth. I’m not exactly attracted to women. Cherish doesn’t have a huge populace under the age of forty-five to pick from beyond that,” he said.
“Or the sane,” Declan offered.
They both broke out into earnest laughter.
Finn swallowed and washed down a bite of pork with his wine. Declan picked at his plate sparingly. He was far more entranced in his company than he was in the delicious meal his mother made them. Finn leveled his gaze at him while he speared another stem of asparagus onto his fork.
“I guess you don’t buy into the whole supernatural thing, huh? That was one of the first things I noticed about Cherish. Everyone seems to have their own belief system, and they are as far-branching and diverse as the next. It’s a welcoming kind of community like that, I guess. No one is forced to believe any one thing,” Finn said.
He shrugged his shoulders. “It’s hard enough growing up with the struggle of sexuality, the uncertainty of the future, and the need to fit in. All my life, until I moved to California, I watched as the people around me put their faith blindly in a world that doesn’t exist.
Vampires, werewolves, ghosts…it’s all just a bunch of nonsense, like the tooth fairy is for children. It gives us some hope in a life after death, when all we really have is this fleeting moment. Where was a guardian angel when my dad lost the fight to stage-four cancer?”Finn frowned heavily at him and volleyed him a look that appeared laden with genuine concern.
The rest of their meal went by with idle chatter. Time passed more quickly than he would have liked to admit. They discussed what exactly Finn did for work as a private contractor, the spiritual group his mother ran, and their dreams and aspirations for later in life. Declan was surprised at how easy he was to talk to. For the first time in a long time, he simply let his guard down and let someone in. He wasn’t disappointed either. Finn was as kind as he was a good listener. There was something about the other that made him feel perfectly at ease. While there was definite attraction there, they were able to simply get to know one another through the rest of dinner, which was a nice change of pace.
The hours seemed to pass like minutes in Finn’s company. Declan was able to laugh and joke with him in a way that he hadn’t found ever before. They flirted back and forth, enjoyed some witty banter, and ended up breaking into a new bottle of wine. He wasn’t sure if it was the buzz of the red wine or the elation of having company that actually stimulated him intellectually, but Declan was having a ball. He’d have to remember to thank his mother in the morning for the chance to meet someone as delightful as Finn. He could see what all the other women in Cherish must have spotted in the man—a caring individual that was as attractive on the inside as he was the outside. He felt himself heavily attracted to the man, both physically and emotionally. It startled Declan to recognize such a thing and he withdrew a little. The last thing he wanted to do was to get his heart broken again by a handsome man with a silver tongue.
Declan put away the leftovers, cleared their plates, and poured them another glass of wine. His mother had made them a small cheesecake to share for dessert, which he pulled out and sat upon the counter. He had turned away from Finn to get a knife out of the drawer reserved for cutlery when he felt the heat of another body slide up behind him. Declan felt every muscle in his body tense with the closeness of the man he was so attracted to. There was the pass of lips against the exposed back of his neck, between his messy hairline and the collar of his sweater. It was pure instinct to lean back into the warmth of the hard dominant body behind of him, even if his heartbeat thudded away a million miles an hour in his chest
“I’ve been waiting to do that all night,” Finn murmured heavily before he trailed just the tip of his pink tongue against the back of his neck.
ADULT EXCERPT
Finn’s voice was husky and full of craving when he uttered a single command. “Undress.”He was in no position to resist such a command, nor did he have the slightest inclination to deny Finn what he wanted. He was sure there was a dazed hunger that showed in his eyes.
Declan toed out of his shoes, taking a moment to kick each to the side as he went. He fumbled anxiously with the belt buckle of his pants thanks to his trembling hands. The weight of the demigod’s gaze was heavy upon him, bathing him in the erotic fervor of longing. He breathed in with a shallow gasp. Finn’s desire was an intense pulsation upon his skin. Within moments he stepped out of pants, boxers, and socks. Tentatively, his gaze lifted from the ground to meet his god’s. What would it feel like to have his cock pulsating inside of him? He hoped he would find the answer to that question soon.
“Finn,” he murmured, his voice audibly breathy. “I…I want you…”
Declan could tell there was an instant reaction within the other’s body to those words. Finn growled with primal dominance and yanked down his briefs. His muscles coiled with the need to touch the monstrous phallus exposed to him. From within a downy bed of neatly trimmed blond curls, the thick base of his cock jutted out proudly. It curved slightly upward and visibly pulsed with every hard beat of his heart. Declan sucked an unsure breath in. The only person he had ever been sexually active with was Alex and he hardly held a candle to the easy nine inches pointed right at him.
“Touch me,” Finn commanded, and any sense of insecurity fled from his mind.
With a hesitant lift of his hand and a flush across his cheeks, Declan slowly curled his fingers about the extensive scope of his base. He heard a growl escape him and he was sure the other enjoyed his shy exploration. Declan grew brave with the comfort that he was in a safe and loving environment. He gave a slow flick of his wrist upward and pumped his fist about the almost granite flesh. Again, he touched him, grazing his fingers up along his sensitive underside where his swollen glans lay. Declan clenched his fingers gently in surprise when he felt the favor returned by Finn’s hand. His touch was as soft as velvet and made his tip weep clear gems of preseminal fluid down the underside of his shaft.
He couldn’t stand it anymore. He had to have Finn. He tried to tell himself to go slow and easy, not to rush things. That was thrown out the window as soon as he felt the other throbbing in the palm of his hand. Gently he pulled back from the other male’s grasp and backed up onto the stairs. Without the desire to try and make it to the bedroom, he decided to let Finn have him right there. Sure, the staircase wasn’t the most seductive place, but they would have all night to dabble in true seduction. Right now, there was a pressing urgency to consummate this feeling they shared. Declan lay back on the staircase with his rump on one stair, his back arched upon the same his elbows rested upon.
He spread his thighs and gave Finn a clear view of what he had to offer. The other male growled out again, but this time it was a deeper and more gravel tone. He lacked any sign of hesitation when he stepped forward to kneel on the stair below his ass, in between his thighs. Those strong hands scooped his legs up just beneath the joint of his knees and spread them wide. Declan sensed a blush rise to his cheeks at how exposed he was, but since it was for Finn, he didn’t mind too much.
“Be gentle, will you? You’re bigger than I ever had,” he admitted.
Finn’s brows pinched together and there was a flash of an animalistic expression across his visage. “I’ll be gentle and slow at first… You’re mine now, Declan. I have no intention of letting you know any other cock than mine for the rest of your days,” he purred, words dripping with possessive dominance.
“I’d have it no other way,” he breathlessly whispered.

When the Black Bird CallsHaven started with an idea, just a simple wish to tell the stories of my group of vampires that didn’t quite fit with The Moonlight Breed. When I began, I knew some characters would stand out and make an impression more than others…such is the way of series. However, I never expected the overwhelming response I’ve received about one particular character. Raven Whitmore isn’t your typical bad boy. He’s a little selfish, a lot egotistical, and he can’t seem to open his mouth without sticking his foot in it. Love doesn’t interest him, nor does the idea of finding that special person fate intends for him. He’s well aware of his reputation, and he’s more than happy to perpetuate the rumors. With that said, however, there is another side to him, one rarely seen, that has a heart of gold and a fierce intolerance of injustice. He hurts when others hurt. Some may even say he cares too much. There have been plenty of wounded and broken who have passed through the gates of Haven, but Raven has yet to meet anyone the likes of Nuri Hayata. When the most broken of all wanders into his life, will Raven push Nuri away in favor of his playboy life? Or will he finally take a chance and trust someone other than himself?
Excerpt from Haven 9: *Untitled*Chapter One“One adult and two children?”Arching one pale eyebrow at the bored tone of the young lady behind the glass, Raven nodded. “Obviously.”“Would you like to purchase a park membership?”“No.” Things had been tense in Haven as of late, and he’d agreed to take the kiddos out for the night to give his friends some much needed downtime. While he really enjoyed being “Uncle Raven,” he didn’t see too many of these excursions in the foreseeable future.“Your total is $67.00. Will that be cash, credit, or debit?”“Are you shitting me?”Quiet giggles erupted from his left, and Raven cringed when he heard Wren whisper to his cousin, “Uncle Raven said a bad word.”Yeah, he really wasn’t cut out for this role model crap, but gods, he loved the pintsized brats. “Don’t tell your dads. Cool?”Wren bobbed his little head and wrapped his arm around Kaito’s shoulders. “Cool. We won’t tell. Right?”Kaito sucked his bottom lip between his teeth and tucked a strand of dark hair behind his ear, looking less enthusiastic about keeping the secret. “I won’t tell.”For one so young, Kaito had an incredible sense of right and wrong. He was a sensitive boy, always sympathetic to other’s emotions, and he greatly disliked conflict of any kind. His deep brown eyes darkened with turbulence, and Raven felt another twinge of guilt for that. “Don’t worry, kid. I’ll tell on myself. How’s that?”Kaito shrugged as he played with the zipper on his dark gray sweater jacket. “I really won’t tell.”They could argue about it, or he could drop it and watch his stupid mouth for the rest of the evening. Deciding to drop it was a no brainer. “Okay, boyos, enough with the heavy. We’re supposed to be having fun.” Raven forked over his Visa to the toad behind the counter, signed the receipt, and tucked his wallet back into his pocket. “Now, where to first?”The original plan had been to take the boys for a couple rounds of bowling. Raven hated everything about bowling from the dorky shoes that never quite fit him to the way the employees yelled at him for accidently breaking a few—or all—of the pins. Unfortunately, however, there weren’t many family friendly options that operated after sundown. Hoping to entice the kids into spending the majority of their time in the attached arcade, he’d stopped at a nearby convenience store to pull money from an ATM and happened across a flier for this very special wildlife park. They’d had to drive an extra two hours into Green River, but he’d managed to keep the munchkins entertained during the ride with the built-in DVD player. “I wanna see the elephants!” Wren exclaimed as he bounced along the paved path away from the front gates. “Oh, or maybe rhinos. Do they got tigers here?”“Hmm,” Kaito mused as he traced the green lines of the map with his forefinger. “I think we should see the fishes first.” He pointed to a large stone building to their right. “It’s just right there.”“Cool!” Wren agreed. “Are there any dolphins?”Kaito shrugged as he meticulously folded the map into a neat rectangle and tucked it into the pocket of his jacket. “I don’t know. I can’t read.”

EXCERPT
She glanced at the clock, it was one a.m. But the last thing she wanted to do was sleep. She set her glass down and moved off the couch. “I’m not tired.” She reached for his hand and dug for her courage. She had a feeling he didn’t want to leave. “Kiss me.”He pulled her close and ran his fingers down her cheek. He leaned down and brushed his lips against hers. Gently, he nibbled her bottom lip, coaxing her mouth open with his tongue. She parted her lips, he took full advantage, pressed his way deeper into her mouth, held the kiss before he broke away. She opened her eyes and let out a sigh. “You’re a good kisser, Marcus.” She leaned into him and pressed her body against his. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she pulled him to her, and their lips came together. Her tongue did a deliberate slow dance across his, making him moan. Her core turned to lava, the heat almost too much to bear.He pushed her away. “Cassie. I could stand here and kiss you all night, but I’d better go before I make an ass of myself and you end up hating me.”She reached for his hand, knowing what his aim was. “Why do you think I would end up hating you?” She worried it might be the other way around. Would he think her a wanton woman? She tried to cap her desire, but the need to live what happened in her dreams overruled her common sense.“I will not lie. I believe in the truth, always. I want you. I want to lie you on the bed and make passionate love to you until neither of us can move.”“Then what’s stopping you?” she whispered.“Love, did I hear you correctly?” Disbelief was written on his face. She gazed into his stormy eyes. “I will admit, I’m not the type who sleeps with a man on the first date.” She looked down at his chest. “Hell, not even the second or third.” Her eyes moved back up to meet his. “I can’t say what it is, this connection I feel. I just know I need you.”He pulled her close, his mouth crushing hers. Their tongues glided across each other in a play for dominance. Her nipples hardened and strained against the fabric of her dress. With only the thin layer of material between them, she felt his cock harden. She pulled away and gasped for air as she led him to the darkened bedroom. Her courage wavered for a moment. She’d come this far, there would be no stopping now. She didn’t want to stop.“Marcus, I don’t know how to explain it. I trust you, and to be honest, your touch sets me on fire. I need you, but if this isn’t what you want, then I’ll understand.” She held her breath and waited for his reaction. He traced a finger along her cheek. “There’s no way in hell I’m leaving now, unless of course, you toss me on the street.”She reached for his shirt, her fingers trembling as she loosened the first button. He grabbed her wrists. “If at any time you want to stop, tell me.”Her head shook and continued with the buttons until they were completely undone. She pushed the shirt past his shoulders and onto the floor. Breath escaped her lungs when the moonlight filtered in the windows and danced across his chest. He was remarkable, better than her dreams. He removed the clip that held her hair. Her chestnut curls spilled around her shoulders. He moaned when his fingers ran through the silky mass. The dress became a second skin, and she was ready to be rid of it, but before she could make a move, he reached behind her neck and untied the halter. The dress fell to her waist, exposing her bare breasts. His eyes became drunk with desire. He tipped his head down and ran his tongue over her nipple, causing it to pebble. God, she had almost come undone right there.“You have too many clothes on,” she said, reaching for the button on his pants. He moved off her breast, and she cried out from the ache he left behind. “I could say the same for you, love.” He kicked off his boots while she dropped her dress to the floor. She was left standing in a red thong and black heels. There would be no turning back now.Grabbing the waistband of his pants, she yanked them to the floor, and his erection sprung free. Her tongue traced her lips, desperate to savor him. He was much bigger than she had experienced, but that only heightened her arousal. She dropped to her knees and ran her tongue over the tip of his shaft. He tasted of salt and seduction. He wrapped a fist in her hair and groaned. She sucked him in, taking every inch. Drunk by the pleasure she gave him.He threw his head back. “Oh gods, Cassie, you feel so good. Don’t stop.”As if she could. No, she was a woman possessed, determined to take him over the edge. At this moment, she wanted nothing more than to make him scream her name.
BEHIND THE SCENESQ. Is there a word or phrase you catch yourself overusing?
A. My husband tells me I swear like a sailor. I use the word “fuck” often, so needless to say some of my characters are pretty colorful.
Q. How do you know you’ve written a good book?
A. I have critique partners and beta readers. I count on them to tell me if something works or not. I would be truly lost without these wonderful ladies. I can honestly say, they are real ego boosters and if not for them, I’m not sure I would ever think my work good enough to publish.
Q. How do you keep your characters and stories organized?
A. I use Microsoft OneNote. I have a page for each character with their description and a picture. I have pages for general themes and ideas. I can’t tell you how many times I have to refer back to these pages. *I also love looking at the sexy men* Oops, did I say that out loud?
Q. Are you a Swooper (write first, edit later,) a Basher (edit each sentence as you go,) or both?
A. I swoop. I learned early on that editing as I went took the steam out of my writing and caused me to lose my muse. I will go back and read/edit if I get to a point where I’m stuck. This helps me come up with fresh ideas and I can then go back and pick up where I left off.
Q. What is the one thing you must have to be able to write?
A. I need quiet, I am easily distracted.
Q. Did you have any bad habits when you began writing? How did you correct those habits?
A. Lol, are you kidding? I hate commas, I think they are evil little creatures that should be banished. I had to learn to stop and take a breath in my writing. I still find myself rambling from time to time.
Q. What are you currently working on? How is it different from other books you’ve written?
A. I’m actually working on book two of Immortal Guardians right now. However, I did write an erotic paranormal romance that will be published in November, called Amazon Heat. Though Eternal Flame has sex, it was different writing something much steamier.
Q. What types of scenes are your favorite to write?
A. I actually love dialogue. I know many writers hate it, but I find it fun to flesh out a character and bring them to life using their own words. I find I can actually get to know them better through their dialogue.
Q. When and where can readers look forward to seeing you this year?
A. I don’t have any plans this year, but I hope to be attending RT Book Lovers convention in New Orleans next May.
Q. Are you always in the driver’s seat? Or do your characters drag you along for the ride?
A. I’d like to say I’m in control and would never let my characters run the show. With that said, they have made me rewrite entire chapters. They pester me at the worst times and are relentless. Have you ever dealt with a Dragon-shifter before? *rolls eyes* they are demanding to say the least.
Q. What is your least favorite part of the writing process?
A. Edits. I would much rather scrub the toilet with a toothbrush.

Can he find the strength to send Ashby to Arkadia to ensure his safety? And will he be able to eliminate the threat before he loses his reason for living?
STORY EXCERPT
Rebecca frowned and swung her head back to Ashby.
“Did he hurt you, Ashers?” She said, making sure she made eye contact. He looked away and shrugged. She grabbed the hem of his shirt and manhandled it up over his head. It got stuck around his ears, but she had somehow managed to get his bruised arm free.
“Kate! Look at this. That asshole Marcus Evans has hurt Ashby, we need to arrest him!” She said, waving Ashby’s arm around. Ashby got his arm free and managed to pull his shirt down from where it had been lodged around his head and put his arms through the sleeves.
“It’s ok, Moe ran him off. Even Marcus isn’t stupid enough to mess around with Moe.” Ashby said grinning.
“No kidding, Moe would eat him for breakfast before coming to you for his banana split,” Nic said, laughing. Kate snorted.
“Mojo,” She chortled.
“Kate, it can’t still be funny,” Bran said from across the diner, where he and Caleb waited for their order holding the trio’s twin sons, Landon and Lucas.
“Mojo, Jojo,” Kate giggled. Rebecca, whose anger was fading, smiled.
“Ok, it is kinda funny,” Rebecca said.
“As long as it doesn’t hurt his feelings, it could hurt him to hear something like that all the time,” Ashby said quietly. Rebecca nodded. Kate grinned.
“Ashby you’re so sweet,” Rebecca said hugging Ashby’s arm. He blushed.
“He’s ok with it because I told him that he was totally hot and that’s why it was so funny, because it was completely opposite to how he looked. The man is downright fuckable,” Kate said and two ominous growls were heard from the counter. She blew kisses to her mates. Rebecca nodded.
“I’d totally do him,” She said without thought, and a long low rumble echoed from the door. Rebecca turned in her chair and her eyes brightened.
“Hi, baby, how was work?” she asked, turning her face up for a kiss.
“Do who?” Aleks demanded and he stalked over to where his tiny mate sat and kissed her lovingly.
“Moe Jones. Kate and I agreed the man is fuckable,” Rebecca said.
“Girls, language!” Ma yelled from the kitchen.
“Yes Ma!” both women called out and then grinned at each other.Aleks looked down at his mate frowning.
“You don’t need to think about doing anyone but me,” Aleks said bending down to stare his mate in the eyes. She looked up impishly.
“Aleks, Marcus Evans went into Ashby’s shop and hurt him today. He has bruises on his arms. I’m getting a bad feeling about him.” Rebecca said as Aleks easily lifted her up, sat down in her chair, and settled her in his lap.
“Ashby, do you want to press charges?” Aleks asked, concern on his face. Ashby shook his head.
“No. He has never done anything more than harass me. I have a feeling if I press charges it would only escalate the issue. As long as he keeps his hands to himself then I don’t want to press charges,” Ashby said.
“If he hurts you again, I’ll shoot him!” Rebecca said and Aleks looked down at her panicked.
“Becca, baby, did you bring your gun?” he asked gently as if approaching a wild animal. All of the shifters at the table picked up on his edginess and subconsciously scooted back a bit.
“Of course! It’s not going to do me much good in a box under the bed is it? The next time hyenas come to town it’s open season,” she said, patting her purse.
“Is the safety on this time?” Aleks asked, inventing new shades of pale. The purse had shifted down between their bodies and was resting in his lap.
“Of course it is,” Rebecca said, picking up the purse and patting it. She dropped it to the floor and a loud bang echoed throughout the diner.
“What in the hell!” Connor demanded coming out of the kitchen. Rebecca stared down at her purse and then looked up at Aleks.
“Ok, I swear the safety was on.” She tilted her head the way she normally did when she was thinking.
“Maybe...” She looked around the table and Nic and Kate were trying not to laugh. Ashby was trying to get his heart to stop beating out of his chest. Aleks began to shake.
“Aleks, are you ok?” Rebecca asked. At the sound of her calm and rational voice Aleks snapped.
“That’s it! That. Is. It! No more gun for you. That is the second time you have almost killed someone, the first time was when you tried to show me your cowboy stance. I can’t do this! I can’t think knowing you have a weapon!” Aleks roared and bellowed. Rebecca sat on his lap calmly petting his chest as he ranted.
“Don’t worry, I’m getting better, see this time I wasn’t holding the gun when it went off, so technically I didn’t shoot it,” she said as if that made all the difference in the world.
Ashby watched the interaction between the mated pair. He could see Aleks’s hands shaking, he didn’t know if it was from fear or from the effort it took not to shake some sense into his tiny mate.
“Connor!” Aleks yelled.
“I’m here,” Connor said, walking over to the table and picking up the purse. He opened it up and pulled out the gun, he slid open the chamber, checked the barrel, put the safety on and tucked it into the back of his pants.
“Hey that’s my gun!” Rebecca protested.
“We’re going home!” Aleks said standing and swung his mate up in his arms.
“When we get home we’re going over gun safety, again. And this time the lesson will stick. You hear me?” Aleks demanded. Rebecca got a dreamy look on her face.
“Yes, Sir,” she said as Aleks carried her out of the diner.
“Oh my God did you see the look on his face?” Connor said doubling over laughing. That set off the entire diner. Kate wiped her eyes laughing.

ADULT EXCERPT
“Mon Dieu you are a vision. Tonight I will make you mine forever.” Gabriel stood and he gently picked Ashby up and laid him down on the bed. He took a moment to look down at the picture of perfection before him. His Ashby looked like a fallen angel. His innocent eyes contradicted his love swollen lips and flushed cheeks.
“What do you mean forever?” Ashby asked. Gabriel looked over to Ashby and smiled gently. He then removed his suit jacket and placed it on the bench at the end of the bed. Slowly he removed his designer silk shirt and tossed it next to the jacket. He saw Ashby lick his lips.
“What is your ultimate fantasy my angel? You have given me so much pleasure already tonight so selflessly, what can I do for you?” Gabriel asked his voice deepening. He saw a shiver run through Ashby and he felt ten feet tall.
“Can you make love to me? No one has ever just loved me.” Ashby said so quietly that even with his vampiric hearing he had to strain to catch the words. When he heard Ashby’s soft request his heart broke in two. The gorgeous creature before him should have only known gentle caresses and tender words. From the little his dainty mate had told him about his ex-boyfriend he knew that Ashby had experienced hell at the hands of a man who should have protected him at all costs. He tried to keep the anger he felt from showing on his face.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want,” Ashby said quickly and rolled over to his hands and knees putting his head down.
Gabriel felt like someone punched him in the stomach. He quickly removed his slacks, throwing them across the bench and went to the night stand and pulled out a packet of lube. He eased himself behind Ashby running his hands over the crease gently massaging the dark hole winking at him.
“My angel as much as I want love to bury my face in your sweet ass and bring you to the brink of pleasure over and over again with my mouth, I need to see your face and kiss those exquisite lips of yours as we make love.” Gabriel placed both hands on Ashby’s hips and pulled him backward until he was sitting back on his knees his back flush against his chest. Ashby’s face turned up and he looked at him with surprise in his eyes.
Gabriel ran a hand down Ashby’s chest and tweaked the tiny pale pink disk. Ashby moaned and rested the back of his head on Gabriel’s breast bone.
“Does my bebe like that?” Gabriel whispered the words against Ashby’s neck, causing goose bumps to run down his mate’s body.
“Y-y-yes,” Ashby squeaked.
“Good, you will know nothing but pleasure by my hands.” Gabriel ran his tongue up Ashby’s neck and bit gently on his ear. Ashby groaned and pushed his ass back against Gabriel’s hard dick.

VAMPIRES AMONG USAvailable at BookStrand!

Erica knows she needs to leave her abusive, alcoholic, vampire husband. But just how does one go about doing that? It’s not like she can go to the police and state; “I need a restraining order for my vampire husband!”
She has befriended a guy at college, and not seeing any other choice, asks him for help. Little does she know she is running away from one vampire, and straight into the arms of another!
Kevin O’Rourke is the leader of the VCTF (Vampire Crime Task Force). The only reason he sits in college classes half the day is because his team has been called in to make a major drug bust. When he sees the bruises on Erica, he knows she is in trouble. A little investigation reveals Erica is married to one of his own that has gone rogue. When she finally agrees to leave him, Kevin is quick to offer her shelter at his family’s home. The only problem is Erica doesn’t know what he and his family are. And she doesn’t know she is his mate. Hmmmm……
EXCERPTS I. II. As Jennifer reached over and pushed a button on the dashboard, she was regretting having to make this call. She knew her brother would be livid the second he found out they were in trouble. There were only two options though, call Kevin, or take care of the problem herself. She felt fairly confident she could wipe Shawn’s face across the pavement. After all, he didn’t have a clue she was a vampire. The problem was, neither did Erica. Better to let Sir Romeo take care of this situation. Kevin’s voice was immediately on the speaker. “Jennifer, what is it?” His voice came across low and stressed. He knew instantly something was wrong. “I’ve got company following us home. Shawn picked us up as soon as we left the mall,” Jennifer stated. She purposely kept calmness in her voice, and tried keeping a calming atmosphere going. “How far away are you?” Kevin inquired.“About seven minutes out. I can make it safely, just be ready for when I pull in.” Kevin was relieved to hear Jennifer keeping a calm head while she was driving, and she seemed confident that she could get the two of them back home safely. It was Erica who wasn’t so calm. He could hear her mumbling about not making it through the speaker in the car, and he knew his sister would have already tried throwing a calming atmosphere around her. Erica was fighting the imposed atmosphere. She was scared, and rightfully so.As Jennifer continued talking with Kevin on the phone, Shawn came around to Erica’s side of the car, trying to force their car off the road once again. Erica could see the road narrowed up ahead, and terror caused her to freeze up. She shut her eyes tight and sent a quick urgent prayer above that they would live through this nightmare. Erica forced one eye open and looked Shawn directly in the eye. There was only one word to describe the look on his face, murderous hatred. As the next minute ticked by, it was blatantly obvious that Shawn was not going to stop until he had succeeded in killing both girls. He was irate over Jennifer outmaneuvering him, which was causing him to act irrationally. He continuously veered sharply over, trying to ram his car into Jennifer’s, only to become even more enraged that Jennifer was able to avoid him every time. Even Erica was amazed as she realized that he hadn’t been able to hit them once. As Shawn became more aggressive, his actions became more violent. Finally, feeling she couldn’t take another second of torture, Erica screamed at Jennifer. “Slow down so I can jump out, and then you can make a run for it. It’s me he wants. Let me out and he’ll let you live!”The next sound that was heard was Kevin roaring over the speaker, “Hell no, don’t stop!”Kevin’s roar was deafening as he lost all self-control when he overheard Erica tell Jennifer to stop the car so Shawn could have her, and then drive away. As if his sister would actually ever do such a thing! He knew as soon as he roared that it was a mistake, and quickly concentrated on controlling his temper and calming himself down. It was imperative that he communicate to Erica that they had the situation under control. Kevin could be heard taking a deep breath over the speaker, and then with deliberate calmness, pitched his voice to softness before speaking again. “Erica, Jennifer is bringing you back to the house. When the two of you arrive, she is going to pull up to the back door. I want you to jump out and run into the house as fast as you can. Charles and I are ready and waiting for Shawn. I need to know you are safe and sound in this house before anything happens. Trust me sweetie, we have been waiting on him to show his face. I have this situation under control.”“Kevin, no, you don’t understand.” Erica wailed at the speaker. Oh God, how was she supposed to tell Kevin that he was getting ready to die, right along with his father, and probably Jennifer also, for just trying to help her? How was she supposed to tell him that he was getting ready to face the devil himself, literally?
BEHIND THE SCENESQ. Is there a word or phrase you catch yourself overusing?A. Yes! The word is “growl” as in he growled…. I used this multiple times in the Vampires Among Us and the editor kept writing little notes on the side stating that it was physically impossible growl more than 2-3 words. My daughter’s response, “I need to talk to your editor mom, because she has obviously not met my father who can growl an entire paragraph when he gets mad!” Needless to say I forbid my daughter from contacting my editor and changed the growling to make them happy.
Q. How do you know you’ve written a good book?A. I start out “Yeah, this book is fantastic!” and then by the time I’ve gone through edits and it releases, I am starting to think, “Well, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.”My spirits jump immediately the moment I get a good review, and then I level out to “Yeah, it’s pretty darn good!”
Q. How do you keep your characters and stories organized?A. This is probably not a good question to ask me because I am still trying to keep organized. Currently, I have a folder for each book I am working on which contains notes, names, etc. and then I also have a copy of those notes on One Note on my computer.Thinking back on your first book, is there anything you would have done differently?Well, since I re-wrote the first book so many times, and it has gone through so many revisions and changes I don’t even remember what the beginning book looked like; I might have done things differently. I am my own worst enemy on my books. I finish them, leave them sit for a few months, then pick them up and reread them, making changes all along the way! I need to learn to do more books like I did The Music Box which will be coming out Nov. 7th. I wrote that book in a little over a week, went through and edited it once and sent it off!
Q. Has your perspective on the writing process changed since you became published?A. Yes, it has changed. I have a whole new respect for indie authors and what they have to go through to get their book out and noticed. I had no idea of the time that is needed to set up good advertising, keep up with your readers and followers, keep up with a website, etc. I am just now feeling like I am starting to catch up, which all takes time away from writing. I try at least once a week to put my foot down and say no to everything so I can get the writing done.
Q. What is the one thing you must have to be able to write?A. Peace and quiet. No radios, phones, people talking, TV’s…nothing!
Q. What are you currently working on? How is it different from other books you’ve written?
A. I have started a new shifter series (this will be a first for me). It is going to be shifter Doberman Pinschers. I figure if we can have shifter wolves, bears, lions, tigers, etc. why not dogs also? I am also working on a bit of a secret project with my daughter but it won’t be ready until next year. I will give you a bit of a hint, just don’t tell her I told you, “Shifter dragons”! So, I anticipate 2014 to be a very busy year!

Sunset Point Blog Hop: Welcome Laurie Roma!

Five flirty authors sharing one ménage island…spice it up with the Sunset Point Series!
The Sunset Point Series consists of five books in one series, each written by a different author!
Guest Post with Laurie Roma!
When we started considering doing a series together, our first thought was to have each book of the series include at least one character that was a cop. Now, this made me smile. Why? Simple, because I love writing romantic suspense. What could be hotter than having an alpha male involved in a dangerous situation? Well, I’ll tell you…
Our concept of an island that caters to ménage relationships was the perfect backdrop to a sexy story. But I thought why not take a cop, add in an adrenaline junkie super-spy and a corporate mogul and see what happens…
And so Cross Point was created.
When I introduced the Katrina “Trinity” Cross character, I knew she was special. Trinity was bold, brash and beautiful, but there was also something sweet and vulnerable about her beneath her no-nonsense personality. She was a secondary character in my IAD Agency novel Deadly Target, but I knew Trinity deserved a story of her own…and more than one man to keep up with her.
Maxwell King was another cross-over from the IAD Agency series. His older brother Julian King was the main character in the novel One Shot. There is something about Maxwell King’s quiet strength and extreme confidence that I absolutely love. He is a good balance for the adventurous side of Trinity and his love helps to heal a part of her that needs a steady foundation.
And then there is Jackson Stone. He is Trinity’s match in every way. They are both wounded souls, looking for the love and acceptance they have been denied for most of their lives. When they come together, it is a clash of wills and the passion that ignites between them is too strong to ignore.
When the three of them come together it is a perfect balance. Each of them gives something to the relationship that makes them a strong, cohesive unit. They were a joy to write, and I can only hope you love them as much as I do after you read their story!

Book Blurb:
Former IAD agent Katrina “Trinity” Cross is in desperate need of a vacation. When a friend asks for a personal favor, Trinity agrees to fly to the island of Sunset Point, only to find that things in paradise aren’t what they seem…Jackson Stone is a man who likes regulation and order, but when Katrina Cross arrives on his island, life as he knows it'll never be the same.Falling behind schedule is not allowed in Maxwell King’s orderly world. Missing money, cheap materials, and a dead foreman top of the list of his problems, but nothing shakes him more than the sexy siren that sets his body on fire…As the investigation heats up, Maxwell and Jackson both fall for Trinity, but she can’t choose between the uptight corporate mogul and the rough and ready police lieutenant. Can she find a way to keep them both, or will their love become a casualty at the Cross Point?

STORY EXCERPT The Palace Resort and Spa sat on a large plot of land, which was cleverly used to host a variety of activities, including two pools, tennis courts, and a beautiful golf course located south of the building. The new expansion plans included building a sister site on the plot of land just north of the existing location, nestled into the bay on the western side of the island.Surprisingly, the lot was almost empty of workers, giving Trinity the time and space needed to look around. She’d parked and got out, glad she had thought to change into hiking boots to go with her jeans and simple white shirt before she’d left her room. From a brief glance at the progress, she had instantly known that the project was way off the mark. What should have been a solid foundation of the building’s structure was no more than a skeleton of concrete and wood. With a shake of her head she had worked her way carefully around the structure, wanting to get a better view of the entire site.A man had called out to her, startling her enough to reach for the grip of the Sig Sauer hidden in the waistband of her jeans. She’d paused when she saw the security logo on his shirt and greeted him with a smile instead of a face full of Glock.“Hi,” she’d greeted him.The security guard frowned at her. “Ma’am. You’re trespassing. You need to leave.”“Actually, I’m a friend of Julian King’s, one of the owners of this place. He said I could come by and check out the new project since I’m visiting the island.” Trinity had lied, not wanting anyone to know exactly what she was doing there just yet. She’d shot him what she hoped was a look of innocent concern. “It doesn’t look like much yet, though. I thought it would be further along by now.”Trinity had noted the security guard fidgeted at that.“There’ve been some slight delays. I’m sorry, but I’m still going to have to ask you to leave. It isn’t safe for you to go walking around here. I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.”“No problem, Billy,” Trinity had said, flashing him another smile as she peeked at the badge attached to his pocket. She’d gotten back in her car with a friendly wave, planning to go back and see things closer after she got a better look at the records.Hunger pains distracted her. Deciding to take the scenic route into town, she’d headed north up the western coast, knowing from her study of the island that the road would branch and take her straight into town before she hit the private villas on this side of the island. It wasn’t more than ten minutes into her drive that she’d noticed a black jeep coming up behind her on the empty road. Fast. Too Fast. Instincts kicked in gear as she noted the mud-splattered window that obscured her view of the driver and also hid the license plate of the approaching vehicle. On the chance that she was just being paranoid she slowed her car, allowing him to pass her, and in doing so saved her life.As she slowed, the jeep surged forward, slamming into the back of her car. Cursing at the hard jolt, Trinity used every bit of skill and experience she’d learned to keep control of the car. She pulsed her foot on the brake instead of slamming down on it, swerving slightly to slow down further. The jeep rammed her again, this time throwing her into a spin.“Son of a bitch!”Someone really was trying to fucking kill her!Trinity jerked hard on the wheel, trying to counter the move. Her heart nearly stopped for a moment as the car slammed into the guardrail, the only thing protecting her from going over the cliff. Moving fast, she jumped out of the car and pulled her Sig, training it on the jeep as it quickly turned around and sped down the road. She didn’t hesitate and fired repeatedly at the rapidly departing vehicle.Cursing again, the loud pounding of her heartbeat was joined by the low throb of a motorcycle engine coming from the same direction the jeep had fled. On guard, she turned and pointed her gun at the individual on the bike as he pulled over and parked a few feet away. Her breath hissed out for a very different reason as she got her first good look at the newcomer’s face.Around six-three and built like a golden god, the man was wickedly good looking. Built like a prized fighter, he was packing some serious muscle and had a fierce aura about him that all but screamed cop! He had an almost shaved head that only showed a hint of dark hair that matched the five o’clock shadow covering his chiseled jaw. Intense green eyes seared into hers as the man pulled his own weapon, approaching her slowly.“SPPD, put your weapon down.”Damn, she was good. She’d called it right. Trinity cocked her head to the side, intrigued by the easy command in his deep voice. Never one to pass up an opportunity to poke at authority, she couldn’t help it. “Badge me.”He froze. “What?”Trinity grinned. “Badge me, baby, ’cause I ain’t putting this down ’til I see your brass.”
ADULT EXCERPT “Fuck!” He let out a laugh then groaned in pleasure. “We can’t do this here.”“Why not?” she asked, nipping at his lower lip. “There’s no one here. People can’t see us from the street. God, you’re big. So hot and hard. I want this inside of me.”He took her lips in another scorching kiss as she used her legs to help shove his jeans down over his hips, the weight of his gun on his belt helping them to slide lower. “Katrina...”“I want you, Jackson. Right here, right now.”Breathing hard, Jackson tried to reengage his brain. He couldn’t fucking think with her small hand wrapped around his cock. “God, I want you, too, but I don’t have anything with me to protect you. I just had my mandatory checkup two weeks ago and I’m clean. I haven’t been with anyone since, but—”Trinity’s hand had paused mid-stroke, but she began moving her hand up and down his thick cock again. “I’m on medical leave for an injury I sustained a month ago and I’m on the shot. I checked out clean and I haven’t had sex in months. I’m protected.”Jackson’s breath hissed out as his cock jerked in her hand at what she was saying. He’d never fucked without a rubber before and he was tempted, truly tempted for the first time. It wasn’t smart. He’d just met this woman, but he wanted her with a vengeance that stole his breath and made his heart pound, not to mention his dick. Before he could really think about it, he found himself setting her down and ripping at the zipper of her jeans.Wild elation filled Trinity as Jackson went to work on her jeans. His face was set in with such determination, he looked like a warrior preparing for battle. If it was a battle he wanted, it was a battle he was going to get. It was so deliciously naughty. They were in an alley, only steps away from people who walked the street enjoying the night, but she didn’t give a damn. She yanked the gun out of the back of her jeans a second before he pulled them down past her hips. She slapped the gun on the top of the garbage bin next to her, still within reach, and started to turn around to face the wall, only to have Jackson stop her.“No. I want to see you. If we’re going to do this, I want to watch you come when I’m inside you.”His voice was a low rumble of sound that sent a shiver racing through her entire body. Trinity toed off one of her shoes and shoved her jeans down off that leg. With a small jump she was back in his arms, their mouths fused together, her legs wrapped around his waist again with her jeans hanging down the back of his legs. “Then do it. Come inside of me, Jackson. I wanna feel you.”Jackson cursed low as she positioned herself over the bulbous head and pushed down, sliding the thick shaft into her hot, wet pussy. His cock was so hard it was like a spear. Her head fell back against the wall as she let out a low moan, relishing in the exquisite feeling of her muscles parting to let him inside her.“God, you’re so fucking tight!”He let out a low growl that brought a smile to her lips. She wanted to slam herself down on his massive cock and ride him until they were both screaming, but he was just too damn big.Trinity felt his hands brace on her ass as he began pumping himself inside of her, in a little then out again, each time gaining more depth into her tight sheath. She lowered her mouth to his neck and licked at the skin above the collar of his shirt. She jerked as he shoved hard, spearing her completely on his thick cock until he was balls deep.“You okay?” he panted out.“Oh yeah, give it to me, Jackson.” She ran a hand over the sheared hair on his head and leaned back to stare into his eyes partially hidden by the darkness in the alley. Jackson’s hips pulled back then pushed forward again, never looking away from her. There was something about his eyes that made her feel like she was falling into him. Like he could see more of her than she normally allowed people to see. Pushing those troubling thoughts aside, she flexed the muscles of her pussy on his invading cock and was rewarded with a low groan from him.“Give it to me, Jackson. Give me your big cock. Pound me into the wall.”“Jesus Christ!”Jackson’s hands dug into her ass in a bruising grip as he did exactly as she asked. He began pounding into her with a slow, punishing rhythm, his thick shaft rubbing against the sensitive walls of her pussy, his pelvis hitting her clit with every hard thrust.“More, more...” she demanded as he continued to push inside her. She tightened her grip around his neck and began thrusting her hips to meet his, thrilling her with the sound of their flesh slapping against one another. They were two shadows, moving as one in the dark. Her eyes drifted closed as she gave into the pleasure, simply wanting to feel.
Bio:
Laurie Roma lives in Chicago and is the author of the IAD Agency and Arcadian series. She has always loved immersing herself in a good book and now enjoys the pleasure of creating her own. She can usually be found tapping away on her keyboard, creating worlds for her characters while she listens to music. Of course her playlist depends on her mood…but then again, so does her writing.
An avid reader of the romance genre, nothing bothers her more than annoying characters. Seriously, who wants a happy ending for someone that pisses you off? She loves tough alpha-male heroes and strong heroines that have brains as well as beauty. Her novels are filled with both passionate romance and down and dirty lust-driven interludes, as she believes both are essential to a good love story.
