i *just* finished shadow and bone. it's was my pick for this months halloween/supernatural book club selection. i thought it would take me longer to read...but i couldn't put it down. i also read your short story and loved it. it game me the spooky shi

Hi! Aspiring author here, did you ever have a time where you were certain you'd never be published?
YES. And that’s when you have to put those thoughts out of your head and keep working.
As writers, we have to walk the line between the confidence to continue and the humility to improve. That’s not always a comfortable thing. But if it helps at all, know that I frequently fall into deep chasms of self-doubt, and wallow around at the bottom.
