Remember to GO VOTE FOR THE DARKLING He’s definitely the underdog this round and even if he’s not your preference, think of it as a vote for the Grisha and Leigh, Even if there isn’t any hope, every vote shows your love for this amazing series. SO GO VOTE.

Guys, GO VOTE FOR THE DARKLING He’s definitely the underdog this round and even if he’s not your preference, think of it as a vote for the Grisha and Leigh, AND GO VOTE.
Awwww! I think it’s fair to say the Darkling is getting trounced, but this is still a lovely graphic and you guys are still the best. Just remember, we were a wild card to start with and this fandom is barely a year old. Besides, if the Man in Black is gonna get knocked out of the tourney, I’m glad it was by Dimitri

Guys, GO VOTE FOR THE DARKLING I know he’s up against Dimitri which is painful but come on. It’s the Darkling. SO GO VOTE.
Okay, so we’re a little baby fandom, little more than a year old, and Dimitri is, y’know, Dimitri. But VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!
hey! love your series a LOT and I noticed you reblogged that asoiaf conflict so I was wondering -- would you be introducing any PoC's into the Grisha Trilogy?
Thanks! Very glad to hear you’re enjoying the books.
There are already people of color in the Grisha Trilogy.
Though I’m not keen on direct analogues either, Shu Han was clearly influenced by China and Mongolia, and Tolya and Tamar are both described as half Shu. I’ve also seen some fancasts of the Darkling with Asian actors which—to me—would make perfect sense within the construction of this world. And it’s worth saying that Grisha have sought refuge in Ravka from all over. (Pavel is described as having dark skin, and Paja, who is Suli, is described as having black eyes sand dark hair.)
That said, none of my leads are explicitly POC and I’m aware that I have no business throwing stones. That certainly wasn’t my intent in reblogging the ASoIaF thread. But I’ve been a vocal fan of the television series and the books. I think it would be really shoddy of me to turn away from a discussion of diversity in fantasy because it’s troubling or difficult, or potentially challenges my own work.

I open the black wood box, and I feed the letters to the fire, one by one. It hurts, but I can bear it. Because I am a doll, and a servant. Because I am a pretty thing and a soldier all the same.
