My Grisha swag. Can’t wait for the Fierce Reads tour!!
Oh say, did you know I hand out swag at tour stops? Cuz I do.
this is a classy establishment: fanfiction
Watching the guys from [comic book redacted, since this rant I’m about to make is rather personal and I don’t want to drag else anyone into it] actively promoting fanfic is like walking into some sort of bizarre alternate universe that I do…
Really interesting post/thread.
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m pro fanfic, that I’m thrilled the Grisha Trilogy has inspired any, and that I hope it will inspire more. That said, my policy has always been to applaud it but not to read it or reblog it. This is complicated by the fact that I regularly shriek giddily over cosplay, fanart, and fanmade edits and mixes. I don’t see a lot of fic come up in the tag, but I guess I want to say that, if fic writers have ever felt slighted by this policy, I’m truly sorry.
