Behind us, the guards muttered restlessly, and a word floated back to me. Razrusha’ya. I batted the Apparat’s hand away and marched into the passage. The Priestguards came to attention. Like all their brothers, they were dressed in brown and wore the golden sunburst, the same symbol that marked the Apparat’s robes. My symbol. But they never looked directly at me, never spoke to me or the other Grisha refugees. Instead, they stood silently at the edges of rooms and trailed me everywhere like bearded, rifle- wielding specters.
“That name is forbidden,” I said. They stared straight ahead, as if I were invisible. “Her name is Genya Safin, and I’d still be the Darkling’s prisoner if it weren’t for her.”
Effing tumblr karma.

Ten Reasons To Read YA (No Matter What Age You Are)
1. You like good books more than you care what section of a bookstore they’re found in or maintaining some ill-defined sort of lit cred (spoiler alert: it does not really exist).
2. You’re interested in developing your own informed opinions about various…

Hey, why does it say that the kindle version of Ruin and Riseing is $0.00, is it just a part of the book or...?
Where they list the other versions, click on the little plus sign to the left of “Kindle Version.” You’ll see the pre-order option!
A little note before the fiiiinal countdooooown (da na na na)
(Does anyone know that song? I get it in my head every other day. Does it even have other words?)
Marvelous readers,
We are now just a little over a week away from the release of Ruin and Rising. I’m excited. I’m nervous. I’m sleep deprived.
As we hurtle toward impact, I want to make two requests of you:
1. Please, please, please TAG YOUR SPOILERS and use the “read more” option with zeal. (Though on the tumblr app, that doesn’t seem to work?) Also, if you’re worried about spoilers, please do use caution. Copies of Ruin and Rising have already started sneaking out into the world. You have been warned!
2. Please be gentle with each other. I know there’s been some tension in the tags and on GR. But here’s the thing: I may be a little biased, but I truly believe I’ve lucked into some of the most creative, generous, lovely readers out there. You’ve brought so many people to the trilogy—through art, and edits, and playlists, and enthusiastic yelling. There is no substitute for that kind of word of mouth and book love. I’m grateful for every damn one of you regardless of ship, and I want us to all to be friends, and eat snacks, and talk about books, and telly, and the many bands you love that I’ve never heard of. When R&R drops, go ahead and rant at me if you want, but please be kind to each other.
Now I return to my laboratory!
