Do you listen to music while you write? And if you do what kind?
I’ve drafted my last three books to Ludovico Einaudi. But when I get into revisions, I usually make a playlist that suits particular moments or characters in the book or just sounds like the story. And sometimes I listen to the same song on loop for entire chapters. Ruins the song though. I wrote the tank scene in SoC to Unbelievers by Vampire Weekend and I now I can’t hear that song without wanting to jump out of my skin.
Okay, gotta go get some work done.
Thank you for the great questions and the very kind words. Thus endeth the ask binge!
are you coming to the east coast of the usa anytime soon-ish?
I’ll be at Yallfest next weekend, then the Miami Book Fair the week after. That’s as far east as I’m headed for a while.
If you could lunch/dinner with any of your characters from Six of Crows who would it be?
Probably Nina and Jesper. Or Van Eck so I could stab him with a fork.
