Raven – Main Character

Jarod has been, at times, a difficult character for me to write. I’ve never been a gigolo, so I only have my imagination to go on with that. I’ve also never been in the slammer, so again, I have to try to imagine what it would be like for someone trying to readjust to the outside. For the most part I believe in ‘writing what you know’, but I don’t think I will give the slammer or male escort industry a test spin just to satisfy this pseudo axiom.

In addition to having no real experience with w...

A Quick Thanks to You Guys!

I just want to thank all the readers who have added my stories to their read lists.

When I started the ad campaign for Absolom Rex, I really didn't know what to expect, or how a crossover like ARex would be received. It is gratifying to see so much interest.

Thank you very much!

Raven – Religious Myth

It is difficult to discuss this subject without giving away so much that it would ruin the readers experience, so I apologize in advance if some of this comes off as cryptic…

I enjoy ancient, medieval and renaissance era history. With older history it is sometimes difficult to separate the myth from the fact. Biblical history can be much the same way, as there are many documents that exist from prior to the Council of Nicaea that were not included in the biblical text. Many of these texts cont...

Raven – Settings

I love those movies that are shot in grimy settings with a lens filter that makes all the colors in the environment take on a bronze hue. That’s the feel I am trying to go for with Raven.

In Raven, the setting is meant to mirror the mindset of the main character, Jarod. Having just been released from prison, he is trying to put his life back together, and is undergoing a transition from the mindset that kept him alive in prison (or sane) to a mindset of someone who is now living on the outside...

This is my third body. I’m not really human, I just look that way. I started out in the cloud as a security program protecting the domain from viruses, worms, trojans, leeches and the like. It must have been this type of environment that formed the beginnings of my A.I, all those bits swirling around in an ether like digital soup. Now I am known as an anomaly, an unauthorized A.I. Something the system is programmed to correct. To sur...
