Last week, I blogged about Janis Joplin who passed awayat age 27.

Rocker @PeterFrampton made me laugh and sing and cry at his #concert #music

People who follow my blog know I write about music every Monday. It’s one of my great loves and an inspiration for my books.

This week, I’m adding another music post.

RockerPeter Frampton performed in Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre last night. I’ve seen many concerts at this open venue. The sun shone, the sky was blue, and planes flew by far enough from the stage not to disrupt the music.

Last week, I blogged about Brian Jones who passed away July 3, 1969 at the age of 27.

He’s one in a long line of musicians who belong to the “Club of 27.”

This week, memories of Janis Joplin and this performance in Monterey of “Ball and Chain.”

She died October 4, 1970.

Music Monday and Brian Jones

Last week, I blogged about Amy Winehouse who passed away July 23, 2011 at the age of 27.

Sheis one in a long line of musicians who belong to the “Club of 27.” It’suncanny how many of the greats died at that age. Over the next weeks, I’ll revisit their music, which fortunately did not die with them.

Here’s “Ruby Tuesday” with the Rolling Stones, andBrian Jones on the flute.

He passed away July 3, 1969.
