What’s Write For Me with @DellaniOakes

I spoke with author, Dellani Oakes on her show What’s Write For Me which was recorded for Blog Talk Radio. Dellani is an extremely generous woman who provides a forum for authors on two different radio shows: Dellani’s Tea Time and  What’s Write for Me. She’s interviewed me twice before, and I was thrilled to be...Continue reading What’s Write For Me with @DellaniOakes →

Stop This Flame #MusicMonday

This energetic song is one I listen to when I’m working out, specifically doing oblique sit ups.  I hear it six days a week, and I love how it inspires. American-English singer/songwriter Celeste Epiphany Waite, known monomymously as Celeste delivers this hit. Hopefully you’ll never stop your flame. Have a great week, everyone, eden

A Day In The Life #MusicMonday

I struggled with finding a song this week. It seems the days flow into one another, and I can’t keep them straight. I’m either a day ahead or behind. When I think about it for too long, I realize it doesn’t really matter what day it is for me anymore. Each day is a day...Continue reading A Day In The Life #MusicMonday →

Please Read This Important Message!!! via @AuthorsElectric

Today, I’ve written a blog entitled Please Read This Important Message!!! It’s on my authors’ collective, which I write for every 23rd of the month. The post is a tongue-in-cheek grammar lesson and involves my pet peeve with a certain punctuation mark. I think you can guess which one it is.

Come and Get Your Love #MusicMonday

Redbone, the first Indigenous American band, released “Come and Get Your Love” in 1973. 47 years later, it finally has an official music video. With this song, the band climbed to the Top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list and hit #1 in several U.S. cities. Today, only Pat Vegas, the group’s bassist and a...Continue reading Come and Get Your Love #MusicMonday →

Fragile #MusicMonday

2Cellos are a Croatian duo, consisting of classically trained cellists Luka Štulić and Stjepan Hauser. The pair play instrumental arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs, as well as classical and film music. Here they play “Fragile,” a haunting tune written by Sting. I’ve been feeling fragile of late; maybe some of you have been as...Continue reading Fragile #MusicMonday →

Happier #MusicMonday

We all need to feel a little bit happier these days, and this song shows me just how difficult that can be. Covid has changed many fundamental life events—birthday parties are not what they used to be. “Happier” features DJ/producer Marshmello and British band Bastille. You’re going to cry if you watch this video, but...Continue reading Happier #MusicMonday →

Texas Sun #MusicMonday

Texas trio Khruangbin have teamed up with fellow Texan, soul singer Leon Bridges. This is their collaboration called  “Texas Sun.” I discovered Khruangbin this past weekend. Their name translates to “flying engine” or airplane in Thai. They are an interesting mix of soul, surf, and psychedelic, and their videos are strangely addictive. Most commonly, I’ve read...Continue reading Texas Sun #MusicMonday →
