Where I Read (and a giveaway!)

I love to read. Ever since I was little, I’ve loved the magic of books. The way each story takes you on a journey that transports you to other worlds. I love the people you meet along the way, the characters that become friends, and the things they show you. I love learning more about the world around me and about myself. I love knowing that I’m not alone.

Where I read is as almost as important as what I read. Through my life, my reading places have varied. Outside. Inside. On my bed. On the floor. On the porch. In my favorite climbing tree. In a window seat. In a hammock. On the beach. By the fire. In a favorite chair.

I have several reading chairs, and I gravitate to this one or that one depending on my mood, the time of day, and depending on the book I’m reading. Lucky for me, my best friend, Angelo Surmelis, is not only one of the world’s loveliest and most awesome people, he’s a super-talented designer with his very own line of home furnishings, angelo:HOME. Angelo has designed on TV, he’s designed for celebrities, he’s designed for those in need, and he’s designed for everyone in between. But the thing about his work that I love so much– it’s not only gorgeous, it’s comfortable. It really does make you feel at home.
