For fans of “Doctor Who” and “Outlander”

If you could change history, would you?

College graduate Josephine “Josie” Jackson answers ‘yes’ to the question on a survey while visiting the Old West tourist town of Tombstone. The next morning, she wakes up in Indian Territory in the 1840s, where she’s given a mission to complete before she can return to her time: to reset history, and prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands over the next century, by convincing the man responsible for kindling the war between settlers and natives to stay home on the day he’s supposed to start the war.

But someone is hunting down time travelers and killing them. Three other women have been sent back to the same time period with Josie’s mission. When she stumbles upon what happened to them, she realizes the chances of her getting out of the past alive are not good.

To survive, she’ll have to trust the person who’s there to stop her from changing history, someone who has every reason to distrust her and only one reason to help her – to save her from the mysterious man who sent her back in time to start with.

Black Moon Draw by Lizzy Ford Reviews

green dreams Black Moon Draw

What if you woke up in a book? A reader trapped in fiction. The sexy hero waiting for her. A harrowing journey home.

For fans of “Labyrinth” and “The Neverending Story” comes an epic romantic adventure …

A reader gets sucked into the book she’s reading and is trapped, unless she convinces the hero of the story to send her home. Just her luck – the book is unfinished, and its sexy hero is far more alpha male than she’s prepared to handle.

What Naia doesn’t know: the story – and its hero – have been expecting her for quite some time, even though she has no idea what she’s doing there.

Naia must learn quickly how to navigate the dangerous, magical world of Black Moon Draw and find a way to complete her journey with the unlikely, uncooperative hero of the story, who holds the key to returning her home.

This is a book for every book lover in the world!! What true reader does not want to become part of the book?? Naia is an average girl going through a major heart break. One night she finds a book from her favorite author that is not finished yet. After drinking all evening she has a short conversation with the author. She then goes back to the book to try and read some more but she falls asleep. When she wakes up she is in a whole new place. Dazed and confused she struggles to figure out what happened. All of a sudden she realizes where she is and whats going on. SHE’S IN THE BOOK!! Once a character approaches her, she is in total disbelief. The book takes off from there and keeps your eyes glued to the pages. The thrill and suspense is top knotch. The hardest thing to do while reading it was to put it down in order to conduct every day life! All the action is jam packed with blood and gore and is amazing! Magic and war surrounds Naia right from the start and till the end. It is the ultimate fantasy! Black Moon Draw is now one of my favorite books. As you can see, i can’t say enough wonderful compliments about it!! I will recommend this book to any and every one!

Black Moon Draw, what can anyone say when they fall into a rabbit hole of adventure! What a ride!!! Lizzy Ford has out done herself with this awesome Novel, which by the way I think it should continue on.

If you are a lover of fairy tale movies, than you will love this book. It has been by far the most clever book written yet by Mrs. Ford.

As readers we all find ourselves living the story, but to live it with a fictional character who would be going through the same motions as you is beyond words.

The characters are all and more than one can expect from a story, I took great pleasure with this book, I laughed and went through the same confusion as the main character Naia went through as she was flung into this mad world of fantasy, adventure and love.

I can rant and continue to talk about it but, it’s one of those reads that you must experience for yourself.

Lizzy keep it coming woman it was as I said one of your most clever writing EVER!!!

Lizzy Ford’s Black Moon Draw is unlike any other book out currently! Every reader, at some point, wonders what it would be like to give the hero (heroine) the boot and take over the story, to be able to feel the angst, the passion, to save the day. What if you, the reader, could actually change what happens? Would you change the ending, once you met the people who will live (or die) with the choices you make?

Lizzy opens the door, asks these questions. Black Moon Draw takes you on an adventure, gives you the possibility of true love, heartbreaking betrayal, and death at every turn. Nothing is predictable and once I sat down I had to finish the book in one sitting. Lizzy creates characters that are believable & personable. Her attention to detail leaves Black Moon Draw in your mind, long after you close the pages.

I think this could be the second best book Lizzy Ford has written yet. At first I was not to sure but then wow I did not want to put this book down. Naia was upset that her wedding was called of so she decided what the heck why now put on my wedding dress drink. A few bottles of wine while reading a book. She never expect to wake up in a book and find people walking around with animal heads on. I loved this story and could not nor did I want to put this book down. lizzy always sucks you right into her books and this one was no exception. If you like brownies and love story’s then you really need to read this book because you will love it. this story was about Naia trying to find herself and love her selfs for her and the bonus is she finds true love.

I have had this book on my kindle for a while now and I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. It has all kinds of great paranormal creatures. Angels, Nephilim, Demons, witches and even a gargoyle. Dayton and Marcas are great. Marcas may not have wanted to be blood bound to Dayton but I think he is starting to care whether she lives or dies.

Unmaking Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot Review

unmakinghunter Unmaking Hunter Kennedy

After a car accident–an event he considers a prank gone bad–pop star, Hunter Kennedy is forced to hide out with his aunt in small-town Colorado. He’s supposed to rest, heal his scars and attend high school in disguise until the press dies down. But he only wants to get back to work.

Worse, the girl who’s been assigned to make him over into a geek is a major geek herself. Vere Roth is a chattering pixie, a blushing tornado and a complete social disaster. He’s never met a girl who’s never-been-kissed, believes in romance and thinks Hunter’s a ‘nice’ guy.

Funny thing is…Hunter is nice around Vere because she’s his first real friend. He also can’t seem to stop sharing his secrets or keep her out of his heart. Knowing he’d never deserve a girl as sweet as Vere, he resigns himself to the friend zone, and helps his new bestie with her own makeover.

She tortures him daily for ridiculous guy advice on how to snag her life-long crush. A guy Hunter thinks is totally wrong for Vere, and sadly, one who has taken note of Vere’s transformation.

When Vere asks her best friend for some kissing advice, Hunter can’t resist…

And that’s when things get out of control…

High School Romance, first love, sweet romance

Review by Amy Simmons

5 Stars

Hunter is a teen rock star who after making a major cry for help (although he calls it a prank) is sent to live with his great aunt. There he meets Vere.

Vere is a painfully shy teenage girl who gets physically ill just looking at her crush. She agrees to help disguise Hunter so that he will be unrecognizable in return he gives her pointers and helps her practice talking to a guy without becoming sick.

That practice pays off. Finally she can talk to her crush without getting physically ill or turning so red it hurts. She asks Hunter for one last favor, a practice kiss. And as I’m sure you can imagine things don’t go quite as planned.

If you enjoy teen romances with a twist of comedy and of course a little high school drama you will most definitely enjoy Unmaking Hunter Kennedy.

anne About the Author

Anne Eliot writes sweet, first-love stories. She was raised in the mountains of Colorado, but says she really learned about life, love and friendships from summers spent with her large, Italian immigrant family in Ontario, Canada.

Anne is grateful to have had schools with inspiring teachers and librarians who directed her to worlds she would not have found on her own. To this day, she adores school visits, teaching writing to teens, and is dedicated to making sure kids in need have access to books that will fuel their hopes and dreams.

While growing up, Anne hid her own anxieties by hiding and reading book after book. She developed an addiction to first love, first kisses and her favorite: the happy-ever-after story. This is what she writes today. Now she’s a mom of two and happily married to her own first love. Anne works hard to juggle being a wife and parent while writing, but fails at cooking because she is still trying to read book, after book of love stories on the side.

Anne Eliot’s first book, Almost, became a top 100 best selling Kindle book, and was a Readers Choice, Top 12 of 2012 book for Amazon.com at #11, and will be translated and released in Germany and Turkey fall 2013. Her second book, Unmaking Hunter Kennedy, is a also a Kindle, top 100 best selling book in Teen Romance for 2013. She’s hard at work on her third novel, another sweet teen romance releasing fall/winter, 2013. She loves to hear from readers. Please look for her on Facebook or tweet her @yaromance.

Representation: Anne Eliot’s foreign translations, audio and film rights are represented by Jane Dystel of Dystel and Goderich Literary management.

Beautifully Used (The Beaumont Brothers Book 2) By Susan Griscom Review

beautifullyused Beautifully Used

Contemporary Romance 18+ due to adult situations

A Beaumont Brothers Series stand-alone book 2

Suave, handsome Brodie Beaumont has a history of using and being used by women. A past he doesn’t like to talk about has turned him into the type of guy he is today, but he hasn’t really cared. Until the beautiful and feisty Gabrielle Demeres comes back into his life.

Gabrielle learned the hard way what type of guy Brodie was the first time she met him. His crude seduction attempt earned him a slap to his face, and Gabrielle wasn’t exactly looking forward to another encounter with the cad. Unfortunately, her best friend was marrying Brodie’s brother, and Gabrielle and Brodie would be forced to spend time together whether she liked it or not.

As things in the small, quiet town of Turtle Lake take a decidedly dark and dangerous turn, Gabrielle and Brodie only have each other to turn to. Will they be capable of overcoming their aversion to one another while coping with their own troubled pasts and dealing with the current dangers surrounding them? Or is their hostility just skating the fine line between love and hate?

Review by Amanda Hammond

5 Stars

I really enjoyed this book. Brodie Beaumont is an incredible person who falls for a great girl named Gabrielle Demeres. Both characters have a troubled past that keeps them at arms length from each other. When Brodie’s brother and Gabrielles bestfriend get married, things change between the two of them. This is a fabulous romance with some shocking twists!! The courage and bravery of Brodie is simply amazing.

susan About the author

I daydream often and sometimes my daydreams interrupt my daydreams. So I write to remember them. If I didn’t write, I think my mind would explode from an overload of fantasy and weirdness. To the annoyance of my friends and family, my characters sometimes become a part of my world. During my childhood, I would frequently get in trouble in school for daydreaming. Eventually, my vivid imagination paid off and I had the privilege of writing and co-directing my sixth-grade class play—a dreadful disaster, though not from my writing, of course, I must blame it on the acting.

I enjoy writing about characters living in small quaint towns and tend to lean toward the unusual and spooky.

My paranormal playing field delves into a different milieu, abandoning vampires and werewolves, but not discounting them. Someday I might like to write a novel about vamps and those furry creatures. But for now I like the bizarre mixed with romance. A strong hero or heroine confronted with extraordinary forces of nature, powers and capabilities gets my blood running hot.

Today Only by D. Love Review

todayonly

Today Only

In life, there are times you are granted a miracle. It may not be the one you wanted exactly, but it will be the one you need. It will prepare you for the next step in your journey and help you learn to accept the life you are given, even if that life can be heartbreaking.

Review by Chelsea Ingham

5 Stars

This book is the truth. I won’t lie it made me cry a lot but it also made me smile a lot.

I lost my grandma from cancer. I know the pain and I know what is like to watch someone’s life get taken away especially someone so deserving of life. My grandma missed so much about my life. I wish I had read this book sooner. It helped me so much to understand more about life. To find the little things in life that keep you going and to find those hints and clues of that person in everyday life.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I am a loyal fan now. I will continue to read whatever this author writes.

It amazes me the way this author can talk about such a painful time and find a way to make you smile.

I loved this family and the way they flowed so well together. The flow of the book worked really well. I couldn’t stop reading. I knew this book would be sad I was warned but do not let that stop you from reading this well written and connected book. This story has a smile at the end even if it’s hard to see that.

derinda About the Author

Elle’s Journey (Book I, The Foretold Trilogy) by Lizzy Ford Review

elles Elle’s Journey

When Elle is spirited away from everything she knows, she soon finds that starving might be a blessing compared to the evil following her and the danger ahead of her. She is guided by the Hunter – a young man haunted by a dead woman, and the Shadow – a creature at war with himself. The Protector travels from the West to help her, only to be led astray by an imposter. It is only when Elle seeks help from the Betrayer that she realizes none of them will survive, if she can’t unite the Five Foretold and find the five magestones.

Young Adult Fantasy

Review by Camila Wolfe 4 Stars

This was so different than any other Lizzy Ford book I’ve read to date. Admittedly, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this after the first few pages since this wasn’t the fast pace “get to the meat” pace I’ve grown to love about this author. No, Elle’s journey is a true page turner. The complexity of the characters and the glimpses into the different societies, the East, theWest, the Nuchan, and the Demons make you continue. You find yourself needing and wanting to find out.

Elle, a bastard child, is the last Mage and hope for her world unbeknownst to her. On her flee from the East’s destruction, she finds herself exhausted, insulted and gaining powers. The men who come into her life come either to : kill her or save her. This mythical world’s terrain intrigues with the paranormal and aids in the weaving of Elle’s fate.

So why give 4 stars? While I loved the complexity of the details, the beginning is slower but fitting to the word in the title “Journey”. All this said…I’m looking forward to reading the next one!
