8. Ladies in the Layaway Line

Look, I know I was being cheap because I did not want to pay 7 dollars for shipping and handling, but this is ridiculous. Did you know that if you order something from Kmart.com and choose to pick it up at the store, they make you go to the layaway department to get it? Well that's fine, except the layaway line is crazy.

There are 5 ladies in the layaway line who have been waiting for an hour, most with their shopping carts filled to the brim. And it is not like they are buying TVs or expensive furniture or anything… Is that blanket really that expensive? Really? You are in this line for two towels?

 Why aren't we moving!!!

You know, if you just saved the money to buy those items…you could buy them without waiting in this ridiculous line.  And if you can't save the money, maybe, just maybe you should not be buying a cart full of stuff!

I, unlike the other ladies in the line, already paid for my halloween costume but I guess I have to wait and watch this annoying kid run around and giggle. I sort of envy her because at least she knows how to get the most out of waiting in a boring line.

7. Guy Smoking at his Balcony

I am studying in front of my window, which faces your apartment building. Your balcony is at the side of that building that is not facing mine directly. I can see you lean out of your half balcony. I say half balcony, because it isn't really a balcony, its kind of just a door with rails.

I just have to say, this encounter is kind of creepy because your half balcony is almost level with my windows so I feel like we are in the same room. I kinda don't want to be in the same room as a guy sticking out of his half balcony, smoking, and looking at people (kind of like I am looking at you now)  – so I am going to look back at my books now. Toodles.

6. Waitress at a Korean Buffet

I have been previously told that it is good buffet etiquette to get a new plate instead of bringing a dirty plate to the shared food area and serving yourself more to eat.

A coworker and I went to a Korean buffet for lunch today. We had a really enjoyable first round of fatty kalbi and chap che and you had also just served us some misu soup which we hadn't touched yet. We got up to go get seconds so we left everything at the table and walked over to the area with the buffet line.

A couple minutes later, we had new plates brimming w ith food so we returned to our table…But our tables had been cleared of everything including our miso soups, utensils, and glasses of water! In fact, it was set up for 6 new restaurant guests although no one else was seated there yet. We looked carefully around the table to ensure that we had returned to the right place. I guess you thought that we had been leaving. We took our seats again, a little sad that our water and miso soup was gone, and continued eating.

A couple minutes later you came back with new miso soup(I saw you fill the bowls) and water for us. And you even took away the extra place settings.

I suppose that the buffet ettiquite does not apply to Korean restaurants? Either way, thanks! I really wanted that miso soup! :-D
