The Great Myrellenos - An Ode to the Mother Muse

It has been a difficult month, having lost several friends from a variety of illnesses-- and I was ill myself for the last two weeks. Books are moving, the Celtic encyclopaedia I helped to edit will be out presently, but in the meantime, someone has a birthday to commemorate. The Great Myrellenos, the Queen of the Fey of Mlys, might be a made up entity in Frewyn, but she is based on a real person, the Mother Muse, a great lady whom I have always seen as a faerie queen, a woman who edited my arti...

The Good Book - Charms and Rituals of Frewyn is now available!

Because of Covid-19, getting The Good Book into the hands of readers has been a trial. Luckily, thanks to the gnomes in submissions, the book of rituals and charms is finally available.

Many thanks to Twisk, who did such a sensational job on the artwork. You can buy prints of the art and other artwork pieces HERE.

Both digital and physical editions of the book are fully illustrated and you can buy them HERE.

In celebration of the book being out at last, here is the inimitable Baronous Hodge, to te...

#MothersDay story: Baba's Farmer Talk

Farmer talk is what townfolk call idle chat amongst the farms. It is said that farmer talk is so inane and innocuous that it can put any non-farmer to sleep. This is somewhat true: only those who live and work on the farms want to hear about how much chalk is in the soil and what kind of loam is down and how the sheep are doing and whether there is any fear of casadaicht, and I am sure half of you are already starting to drift off.
Baba Connridh and Jaicobh MacDaede are old friends....

#Free #books to read during the #Coronavirus quarantine

We have been sequestered at the keep due to the outbreak of Covid-19. Fortunately we have been prepared for such an eventuality. This is what comes from being a lifelong solitudinarian.
Some, however, are not taking the quarantine well, and therefore we have made several of our books free for everyone to read and enjoy for the next two weeks.
Here are a list of the free titles:

I Hate Summer
A Flower for Rolande
The Leaf Flute
Baba Connridh
Favour of the Gods

Some books may only be free...

#RIPTerryJones, Hermit of the Juniper, Mum of Brian

What are we but the culmination of idle hours, flailing limbs, and rampant cogitations? In the misery of to-day, in the whirling entropy of grief, I have accidentally remembered that all those I love named Terry are now gone.

Terrance Hanbury White. Sir Terry Pratchett. Terry Jones.

Heaven, or something like it, must be a grand old place, with such a collection of giants to furnish its halls, the palladiums to guard its troves and offer pedantic tirades to all. Of course nobody is educated...
