Rosa Congost Colomer is Professor of Economic History and senior researcher at the Centre de Recerca d’Història Rural (University of Girona, Spain). Her research focus has been the study of property rights, agrarian change and social relations in modern and early-modern Catalonia. She is also interested in the study of the South American imperial institutions. Currently, she is the research leader of the project “Dinámicas sociales y cambio histórico en sociedades rurales: El análisis de los grupos y las desigualdades sociales” (Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia de Espanha).
