Interview on West Virginia Public Radio

It was an honor and a privilege to speak with Beth Vorhees of West Virginia Public Broadcasting for her program INSIDE APPALACHIA.  We talked about Melvin Wine and Jake Krack and about how I came to write Passing The Music Down.  Beth had asked me to bring along some CD's recorded by Melvin and Jake.  I was happy to oblige with copies of Melvin's Hannah at the Springhouse and Jake's Wire Fire and Home At Last and Two Far Gone.  You can listen to the interview here:http://www.wvpubcast.org/newsarticle.aspx?id=20474

RELEASE PARTY WITH A SUPER SPECIAL GUEST

Here is a video clip of Jake Krack , the young fiddle player who, along with his teacher, the late Melvin Wine , inspired Passing The Music Down.  Jake was so kind and generous to play today at the Book Release Party at Taylor Books in Charleston.  THANK YOU, JAKE!!

Jennifer Waggener, bookseller/manager/event planner  extraordinaire arranged the scrumpdillilicious cupcakes from Cindy Barker of "FOR GOODNESS CAKES" and, as previously reported, "a grand time was had by all."
