Growing Your Appetite for the Lord's Supper

Many Christians have an uneasy relationship with the Lord’s Supper. Though this gospel feast has been central to Christian worship since the beginning of the church, many believers find the Lord’s Supper either confusing, intimidating, or just plain boring.

He [Christ] is Isaac, the beloved Son of the Father who was offered as a sacrifice, but nevertheless did not succumb to the power of death.

He is Jacob the watchful shepherd, who has such

Letter to a Wannabe Pastor's Wife

A couple of years ago Holly (my spouse) was invited to write a letter to a "wannabe pastor's wife," to be posted on the True Woman blog. I think her perspective and advice is really good and worth reposting.

Holly and our youngest child, Abby Taylor

Even if you're not a pastor's wife, it might give you a different perspective on what is often called "the hardest job in the church." If

The Difficulty of Waiting on God

This is my latest article for www.Christianity.com

Waiting on the Lord can be hard for two reasons. Bad theology, the first reason, is what I wrote about previously here at Christianity.com.  The second reason has nothing to do with bad theology though.
