Rose Embyr's Handmade Pagan Jewelry & Witch's Ladders

I've been working very hard to fill my new pagan store with handmade pagan jewelry, talisman and witch's ladders. Each item is really handmade from my Celtic Irish family's traditional methods. My grandfather was a jeweler and now I'm twisting silver wire to create one-of-a-kind pagan talisman, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. The witch's ladders are made from soft & natural angora yarn, braided, then knotted with 9 knots. Semi-precious stones or hand-blown glass are entwined in silver and adorn each knot.

My new pagan store is on my website, http://www.roseembyrs.com and has a small fraction of the coming items, but photos will be coming in the next week. The site takes Paypal and all major credit cards, just remember shipping is an extra couple of dollars or so. Still working out some kinks, but I'm sure they will be worked out quickly. Each item is consecrated and ready for use when it's shipped. Blessed Be, Rose Embyrs

What Will You Do In Spring, Ostara?

My favorite season is Fall, with colorful leaves, a chill in the air and All Hallows Eve approaching. My favorite Sabbat is Ostara, celebrated from March 20 to the 23rd in the Northern Hemisphere. Spring is a time of renewal, ridding yourself of bad habits and planting new growth. The Green Man represents everything that grows and his gifts are plentiful. This is the time when there is a balance between light and darkness on the Wheel of the Year. The God and Goddess are equal in energy during the Spring Equinox.

The Goddess Eostre or Oestara is often symbolized with the hare and egg. The word estrogen is from Oestrogen, and we all know that this hormone initiates sex to bring on new life. This is a time to start again with new ideas, plans and seeds. Plant the mind as you plant a garden, seed yourself to grow new life into your life. Give thanks to Gaia and volunteer to clean up a city park or beach. Many Blessings to you and yours.

A New Book & New Year

2010 was a great year. My creative side went wild with 8 fiction books and 1 nonfiction, Spellcaster: Book of Magick. I'm excited about what the future will bring, because frankly for most people, the recession, depression or whatever is going on is not good. Everyone has had to pinch pennies to make ends meet. Most authors I know have side jobs that pay the bills. This is a tough time for everyone, even if you have a job. I yearn for a simpler life along the sea, where I can write and walk with my dog for miles on an isolated stretch of beach. For now, I'm in the city and will press forward in the new year ahead. I plan to stretch my wings and do another nonfiction book and more fiction novels. I have hope that things will get better.

The Journey To Publication

The last minute edits to Black Cat Publishing are due in a week for a Yule publishing date. After working with excellent editors in the fiction world, I thought I'd seen everything. Alas, a non-fiction book comes with a brand new set of rules! Typesetting spells into a hundred page manuscript is painstaking work. All the details! The finished copy will be easy to read and flow beautifully for the readers. I'm excited about my first non-fiction book and look forward to hearing from readers after publication.

I have a Twitter account at Rose_Embyrs and a Facebook page with the same name. Not terribly imaginative, but a non-fiction book isn't a paranormal romance...so Rose suited me just fine. I've heard some lovely feedback from the visitors that have stopped by for a quick peek. Brave souls to look at a website during construction...THANK YOU!
