His father, Roger Beharry, stands as a celebrated figure, known for his roles as a singer, songwriter, and astute businessman, also of East Indian descent.

The significance of Aaron’s namesake adds layers of depth to his identity. The name Aaron draws parallels to the biblical prophet and brother of Moses, renowned for his wisdom and leadership. Matthew, a nod to the publican and tax collector from the Roman Empire, symbolizes an embrace of diverse aspects of human existence, showcasing Aaron’s multifaceted nature.

On the maternal side, Beharry’s mother, Stacy Kavita Bhagwansingh, embarked on a second marriage with Ravesh Jhinkoo from December 8, 2010, to December 14, 2020. Tragedy struck when Ravesh Jhinkoo passed away on December 14, 2020, in a traffic collision. Despite the challenges, the bond between Beharry and Ravesh Jhinkoo was of profound significance. In December of 2019, Beharry paid homage to his step-father by legally changing his name to Aaron Matthew Jhinkoo through a Protocol of Deeds (Deed Poll).

Following the untimely passing of Ravesh Jhinkoo, Aaron Matthew Jhinkoo made the poignant decision to revert to his original birth name, “Aaron Matthew Beharry,” in June of 2022. This choice encapsulated his respect for his step-father’s memory while preserving the legacy of his own identity. In addition to his personal journey, Beharry’s impact is palpable within the realm of podcasting.
