My God It's Monday!
First Monday of the new year!
I've got a few resolutions in mind for 2012.
I'd like to get a newsletter out every single month this year -- I came close last year, but missed two months.
I'd like to use twitter and this LJ more often.
I'd like to get an earlier start most days. 9 am can be my friend... 9 am can be my friend... 9 am can be my friend... 9 am can be my friend... is the new mantra. This one is going to be the hardest though, as, you know, mornings really ought to start at noon ;)
I have several new books coming this month, starting with a brand new m/m series I'm writing for Changeling. It's called Shibari Auction House (shibari means to tie or to bind in japanese and is a term often used for japanese rope bondage). Each story will follow one of the men who auction themselves off. The first book -- Jack -- will be out on Friday this week!
When Jack's gambling debts catch up to him and he's about to lose both his legs, if he's lucky, to his loan shark, he decides to sell his time for three years to the highest bidder, hoping someone is willing to pay him enough to clear his debts for good.
Is he jumping from the frying pan into the fire? Only time will tell.

I thought a great way to start the new year off would be with a contest -- so send me an email to seanmichaelwrites @ gmail.com (without spaces) with "jack" in the subject line before Wednesday evening and I'll randomly draw a winner to receive a free copy of Shibari Auction House: Jack.
Today through Thursday is the New Year's Release Party at TRS and I'm taking part. You can find that here.
Happy First Monday of 2012 everyone!

Congrats to Karen E., winner of a print copy of Velvet Glove, Volume 1
Here it is, the last smutty advent. This time Billy and Tanny and Jim and Marcus are ready to ring in the new year.
Tanny pulled out four glasses, brought them to the living room where everyone was waiting, watching that stupid show on TV, waiting for the ball to drop.
"Ah, there's our glasses. Almost time for champagne." Billy gave him a warm smile and patted the spot next to him on the couch.
Tanny curled in, smiling at Jim, who was bound and blindfolded, head on Marcus' knee. "Do you want me to pour two, three, or four glasses?"
"I'll share with Jim," murmured Marcus, hand moving through Jim's hair.
"We could share as well," Billy suggested, grabbing the remote and turning the sound on the TV lower.
"Two then." He popped the cork, laughing as it went flying.
Jim smiled and Marcus chuckled. "That was like an uncontrollable boy."
"I wouldn't know anything about those," Tanny teased and Jim snorted.
Billy laughed and smacked his thigh. "No, you wouldn't know a thing about those..."
Tanny stuck his tongue out at Billy. "Meany."
"Me?" Billy batted his eyelashes.
"Oh, man. Look at that." He chuckled. "Ten seconds left, guys."
Marcus drew Jim up onto his lap and Billy tugged him onto his master's lap, too.
"Eight, seven, six." He rested their foreheads together.
Billy's eyes smiled into his.
"Four. Three." God, he loved his Sir.
He could hear Marcus and Jim counting next to them but it kind of faded into the background.
"Happy New Year." He was caught in Billy's eyes.
"Happy New Year, boy."
"Yes, Sir." The kiss was slow, deep.
It held the promise of a whole year.
Hell, it held the promise of a whole lifetime.
Wishing everyone a fun and healthy New Year's Eve -- enjoy the last of 2011!

I'm over on
torquere_social
today with a couple posts about the new year and a contest.
Today's smutty advent is curtesy of Greg and Ap, who are the men of the next Hammer novel -- Solitary, which is coming in March.
Greg watched the snow blanket the earth, watched the dogs run and goof off, marring the perfection of it. Ap came up behind him, arms wrapping around him.
"Pretty, hmm?"
"It's beautiful."
Ap was so warm.
"I'm glad you think so -- it'll be like this until April." Ap's hands slid over Greg's belly.
"Mmm. Just think of all the time we'll have together."
"Oh, yes" Ap chuckled. "Not that we don't pretty much have all our days with each other to start with."
"Yes, but this is forced togetherness," he teased.
"Yes, how terrible." Ap kissed his shoulder, "I think we need to explore this forced togetherness over on the couch."
"I think that's a fabulous idea."
"I do too. The lights on the tree look beautiful reflected on your skin."
Oh.
Oh, that was...
Greg smiled, pleased.
Ap pulled him over toward the couch, a twinkle in his master's eyes. They settled together, his bare skin rasping against Ap's clothes. Ap nuzzled his head, lips hot against his bare scalp.
It felt so good, to be home.

They've got a sale on at Torquere Press -- use xmas2011 before January 2 to get 15% off!
Today's smutty advent is Grady and Joey from Christmas Homecoming.
They flipped the switch and Grady shook his head, chuckling as the entire front of the house and a dozen wire sculptures lit up.
"I bet they can see this from the space station."
Joey leaned back in the lawn chair, grinning from ear to ear. "I hope so."
Grady laughed, too happy to have Joey back home to really care that the house was now the tackiest on the block. Hell, probably in the whole city. "At least we know Santa can't miss us."
"This is what Christmas is about, man. Right here."
Grady gave his lover a fond look. "Freaking out the neighbors with your loved one?"
"You know it. Only thing that would make it better would be live ammo."

Today's smutty advent -- win a copy of Velvet Glove, Volume 1 in print. Just send an email to me at seanmichaelwrites @ gmail . com (without the spaces) with VG contest in the subject line and on Saturday I'll randomly pull a winner.
Out today:
Naught: New Legs, New Year, a Hammer story
Jeremy should be happy -- he and Simon (who first appear in the Hammer novel, Forged) had a great Christmas and are looking forward to New Year's Eve. He's got new legs, though, and he doesn't like them at all. Can Simon convince him to focus on the positive, and help him do it, too?

Connor's Journey, a Velvet Glove story
Connor attends a friend's pre-commitment send-off at the Velvet Glove, and he knows he's out of place, but is determined to enjoy his one night among the rich. Then he meets Desmond, a regular member, who wants to show him everything about being a sub if he'll take a five year contract. It beats his old job, but can he do the things Desmond wants him to?
Originally published on the Turn of the Screw serial service, and in print in Velvet Glove, Volume 1.

Tomorrow Connor's Journey, a Velvet Glove story which is from Turn of the Screw and the print volume Velvet Glove, Volume 1, and New Legs, New Year, a Hammer club story are both out!
Today's smutty advent is Giles and Harrison from Drawn.
Giles poured two glasses of champagne, heading for the hot tub where Harrison was waiting. They'd had a wonderful, quiet week together -- no phones, no work, no drama. No art.
Just him, his Master, and love.
"Mmm... you brought me bubbly."
"Us." He winked and handed a glass over.
"Yes. Us." Harrison took the glass, other arm opening up, inviting him to snuggle in.
Giles pushed close. "Hey." God, he loved this beautiful son of a bitch.
"Hey." Harrison rubbed their noses together and then kissed him slowly.
"They say... they say your year will keep on as it begins." He hoped that meant he'd be happy.
"Yeah?" Harrison smiled. "Then, I think we're in for one hell of a good year."
"Yes. Yes, absolutely. An amazing year."
"We're together, of course it will be."
They floated, looking up at the starlight, and a flash of light arced overhead.
Giles made a wish.
Forever.

Here's Drake and Jeren from Boiling Point.
Drake woke up boxing day, feeling tired all through his muscles. It was a good tired, though. It had been the first day Jeren had been allowed to come in nearly a month and they'd both taken full advantage of that, fucking all day long.
He shifted, pulling Jeren tighter into his arms. Jeren wrapped around him, moaning softly, the pierced cock nestled against him.
He kissed Jeren's forehead. The man had to be sore today; they'd performed some serious acrobatics yesterday. It had been the best Christmas Drake could remember in a long time.
"Love." Jeren stretched, groaned, then snuggled back in to him, snoring softly.
Drake chuckled and then nodded to himself. Yes, it was indeed love. He was a very lucky man. They both were.
He kissed the top of Jeren's head. "Love you too, boy. Rest."
