Author Spotlight Tuesday -- Tuesday Morrigan
Super thanks to Sean for having me here. I’m a major fan of your work and an even bigger fan of your work ethic. I love seeing those New/Upcoming Release notices often. Thanks!
Boxers or briefs?
Boxer briefs are my personal favorite, but I won’t kick out a guy wearing either of above.
Favorite position to write?
Depends on the hour: in the morning, I love to sit in the living room, in front of big windows and write, but during the afternoon and evening, I can be found parked in a comfortable, but bright chair in my bedroom.
Favorite kink to write?
Bondage and nipple play. They are my new kinks, well, nipple play is.
Tattoos or piercings?
Personally? I’ve got piercings and would love a tat or twelve, but I’ve got sensitive skin, so it’s not going to happen.
On my men: Either or both are fine with me. As long as you have the personality to rock it well.
Cut, uncut or I love them all?
Love them all. : -D
What's your favorite thing about A Vampire for Christmas?
Honestly: There are too many favorites about Vampire for Christmas for me to chose just one. I love that this book is a very sharp departure from what I normally write. It’s my first M/M story, but I just decided to listen to my muse and allow the story to flow. It’s also the first project I’ve released in more than two years. I’m happy to be back.
Mostly, though I love the funny element the Dieter and Kyle bring to the story. I spent a lot of time giggling and laughing as I wrote. My family kept peeking in to see if I was okay.

Here’s a little bit about A Vampire for Christmas, my holiday story:
Word Count: 42K
Release Date:
Preorder: 11th October 2013
Prerelease: 25th October 2013
General Release: 22nd November 2013
Genres: Erotic Romance, Gay/Lesbian/LGBT; Multi-cultural; Paranormal; Vampires
Kyle Lepiz knows his neighbor isn’t quite human and he’s right. Kyle just never expected him to be so dark, seductive…or undead.
Kyle is a hacker determined to prove the government is experimenting on soldiers. Lucky for him, the proof is living right next door. Dieter has to be a government-created superhuman—no mere mortal could be that good-looking. All Kyle has to do is rein in his libido long enough to convince Dieter to spill his secrets.
Dieter is a vampire on the run from an old-fashioned and overbearing family. His mother wants grandchildren, his grandfather wants power and both of them are convinced Dieter’s marriage to a rich heiress is the solution. The last thing the harried vampire needs is a crazy-ass neighbor stalking him through the streets of the city, weirding out any man Dieter tries to date and severely impeding the vampire’s mission to find his True Mate—the one person good enough to put an end to his family’s plans for an arranged marriage. If only there were some way to get the handsome lunatic off Dieter’s back.
The situation comes to a head when Dieter finally confronts Kyle about his ‘surveillance’. A flash of inspiration later, a deal is struck. Dieter will answer Kyle’s questions in exchange for erotic access to Kyle’s body. Kyle will get the information he so desires, and Dieter will be able to work off some of the tension wearing him down. But as the clothes come off and the information comes out, will either one of them keep his head long enough to remember why they struck the bargain? Will they even care?

EXCERPT:
Dieter leaned forward. “I was sure you would have asked me some questions by now. Have you decided you don’t want to know what I am?”
Pulling on the experience he’d gained as a member of his high school and college newspaper, Kyle straightened his spine and looked Dieter in the eye. “Are you naturally nocturnal?”
Dieter parted his lips. Kyle scooted forward in his seat eager to hear his answer. He was pretty sure he knew what Dieter was going to say, but he needed to start somewhere and he desired a confirmation.
Dieter’s lips spread into a smirk. Kyle’s stomach dropped. “We haven’t talked about payment. I refuse to answer a single question until I know what I’m getting in return.”
Kyle flushed. Biting his bottom lip, he considered the other man. He was gorgeous. Smoking hot. It really wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice if Kyle gave in just the tiniest bit. Oh, who was he kidding? There would be no sacrificing going on where Dieter Mossel was concerned. Still… “It’s a simple question.”
“You’re well aware of what I want. I’m going to get another beer. You may consider your response while I am gone.”
Kyle slumped in his seat and placed his hand, still cool from the cold beer bottle, against his forehead. Dieter was serious and determined to get…his payment, and if that wasn’t the hottest thing ever.
If Kyle kissed him, he got answers. If he did more, he got more answers. “How is this not a win-win situation?”
Where was that little voice when he needed it? Right now it should be whispering something about self-respect, decency and pride, but the tiny bastard was probably taking a well-earned vacation. It had been working quite a few overtime hours lately.
The soft pad of Dieter’s footsteps announced his incoming presence. “Have you come to a decision?” he asked as he walked back into the living room.
“Uh, yeah. A kiss for an answer.”
Dieter sent him a heated look. “Among other things, but I am willing to start with kisses.” He lowered his bottle to the glass top coffee table. “Come here.”
Kyle sputtered. “You haven’t answered my question.”
Dieter shrugged. “Fine. Yes, I’m naturally nocturnal.” He sat on the arm of the chair and leaned over him. He was close, too close. Dieter’s slim hip was only inches away from Kyle’s shoulder. He could easily reach out, and—Kyle forcefully cut the thought off.
Though Dieter’s body wasn’t touching his, Kyle could feel the phantom press of his form. His right shoulder and arm tingled.
The return of Dieter’s cologne wasn’t helping. It was unlike anything he’d ever smelled before and yet, intimately familiar. He wanted to pull the taller man hard against him, wrap his arms around his waist, and nuzzle his neck. He wanted to be as close as possible to the source.
That was totally not happening. He needed to keep his hands to himself. Kisses just required lip-to-lip contact. Nothing more.
“Now, about my payment.”
Tuesday Morrigan began her love affair with romance at an early age. As a child she was always infatuated with the novels she snuck from her mother. Later, in high school, the public library became her sanctuary with an endless array of romance novels. Tuesday is still an avid reader of books. Thanks to shows like Buffy, Angel, and her latest infatuation, Supernatural, Tuesday prefers her stories to have a little more grit. Her favorite genres have always been fantasy, mystery, romance and erotica, so as a writer, she tries to blend the genres to create her own personal niche.

My God It's Monday
It is in fact the last Monday in August. I'm not sure where the summer went. Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy to have fall and winter weather arriving, I just want to know where the last two months disappeared to!
I have a short story coming out in an anthology this week. Balls and Strikes will be available on it's own or in the Scoring anthology from Torquere Press on Wednesday.

And tomorrow I'll be guest posting at Dawn's Reading Nook, talking about Balls and Strikes and boys of summer.
I've just had my contemporary novella Cupcakes accepted by Dreamspinner Press. I don't have a release date or anything yet, but I will keep you updated and let you know more about Allen and Byron later.
I do have one short story with Dreamspinner already. Something Different came out in their Two Tickets to Paradise anthology quite a while back.

Tuscon Andrews is in Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday. Alone. He's just questioning the wisdom of that move when he runs into Adam Brewster. He and Adam split a long time ago; they'd been good together, but never seemed to have the time for each other. The intervening years don't seem to have dulled the passion between them any, has anything else changed or is this destined to be a holiday fling?
Tuesday Morrigan will be in tomorrow's Author Spotlight Tuesday.

Author Spotlight Tuesday - Megan Slayer
Thanks to Sean for having me here. I’m a big fan of your work, so getting to guest on the site is pretty cool. Thanks!
Boxers or briefs?
Depends on the guy who is in or out of them. I like both—just not worn at the same time. J
Favorite position to write?
In my comfy chair at my desk. I love the scent of the leather.
Favorite kink to write?
Spanking. There’s something sexy and hot about giving over control and giving in to the punishment.
Tattoos or piercings?
On me? Tats ain’t gonna happen. I’m a wuss when it comes to needles. Piercings – I’ve got a few. But on my men....sleeves of tats and nipple piercings. Love ‘em.
Cut, uncut or I love them all?
Cut. But really, it doesn’t matter. Grin.
What's your favorite thing about Followed?
This book was born out of a picture challenge from Flash (Steph Burke). Four guys all in jeans and flip-flips surrounding a nude man on a table, like he’s about to be examined. I decided to write the story of the guy on the table and one of the jean-clad guys who happens to be a vampire. My favorite thing about the book is the undercurrent of danger and bondage in the story. The vamps aren’t happy, shiny guys. They’re dangerous and getting mixed up with them is the hero’s biggest mistake—or so it seems.

Here’s a little bit about Followed, the first in the Haven House Vampires series:

“Hold still and they won’t eat you.”
I dragged a breath into my burning lungs and took in my surroundings. Three
men stood around me, two with their backs to me and one at my feet. I took another breath and let it out slowly, then glanced down at my body.
Fuck me sideways, I was naked. Whatever they had me stretched out on, I had my arms spread open and my ankles in manacles. I didn’t bother to move my wrists. They probably had those in cuffs, too. I tipped my head to the man who had spoken to me.
“Hold very still. Pretend to be dead.” The guy closest to me loosened the cuff around my ankle. A lock of his blond hair fell in his eyes, and the muscle in his jaw worked overtime. He didn’t just release me from the bond, he caressed me.
“I don’t think this one is coming around,” he said. “He’s still pale.”
One of the other men turned around. I held my breath and stared into space. Yes, I was pale. Being stuck in a room for more than twelve hours a day hunched over a computer didn’t exactly give me a chance to catch many rays.
“Too bad. I didn’t want to drain this one. He’s cute. Was.”
“I’ll dispose of him.” Ankle Man patted my shin. “I’m getting good at hiding the evidence.”
Hiding the evidence? Of what? Wait. My stomach dropped to my toes. He said something about disposing. Fuck, fuck, fuck. That’s what I got for hanging out with people who could kill me. I started to remember a few details from the night before -- well, I hoped it was the night before.
“What are we going to do? He’s one in a million.” Fuzzy memories filled my brain. I recognized one of the voices. Micah. He cuddled the other man in his arms.
“We’ll need a new toy.”
I still wasn’t sure who the man at my feet was, but I remembered the name of the other man -- Ivan. He and Micah came to my apartment on a monthly basis. Did they want another threesome or a foursome? I tried like hell to keep still. I didn’t want a sore ass.
“I’ll find you another young one like him.” Ivan slapped Micah’s jean-clad butt.
“He was too old for me. I like ’em closer to twenty-one.”
Liked them young? I was only twenty-four. Ancient by college standards, but still pretty damned young.
When the door closed, Ankle Man sighed. “I thought they’d never leave.” He rushed to the door and clicked the lock. “I’ll get you some pants. Shame, though.”
Shame? I sat up and rubbed my head. My brain ached. The room looked nothing like where I normally played with Ivan and Micah. “Where am I?”
And here’s a little bit about me:
When she's not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her two vampire Cabana boys, Luke and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don't seem to mind.
When she’s not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school. She enjoys writing in all genres, but writing about men in love suits her fancy best. The cabana boys are willing to serve, unless she needs them. She always need them. So be nice to Javier or he will bite--on command.
She also masquerades under the name Wendi Zwaduk and is published through Changeling Press, Decadent Publishing , Liquid Silver Books, MLR Press, Resplendence Publishing, and Total-E-Bound Publishing.

What's your favorite thing about Testing Tom?
Testing Tom is a super hot femdom erotic romance novella. My favourite thing about it is the fact it shocked me when I was writing it.

When Katrina’s ex, Tom, turns up on her doorstep, he’s literally the last person she was expecting to see. After dumping her and running off with a vanilla chick, Tom broke the Domme’s heart and left her seriously hurting. So when he returns, begging for another chance, Katrina is understandably very confused and protective of her bruised feelings. She finds it very difficult to believe that he’s turned his back on a vanilla lifestyle for good and wants to be with her, a professional dominatrix. Rather than letting her head or her heart figure out what to do, whether to forgive him, she decides to put Tom through a series of challenges that will prove his devotion to her—or not. Testing Tom is not something she’d ever expected she’d have to do, but to her, it’s the only way she can be sure whether he’s back for good.

As it happened, it wasn’t a salesperson. She ducked back from the window, clenched her hands into fists.
“What the fuck is he doing here?”
He was literally the last person she’d expected to see standing at her door. Prince William or George Clooney would have been less of a shock.
For there, outside her house, stood the man that had broken her heart several months ago. Thomas Black. She hadn’t seen hide nor hair of him since, and now, totally out of the blue, he’d turned up.
Katrina contemplated ignoring him, going back to her show and pretending she wasn’t in. But apparently that wasn’t an option.
“I know you’re there, Katrina,” he yelled through the letterbox, “your car is on the drive, and I can see the glow of the telly through the curtains.”
Katrina decided it was time to get thicker curtains. Not wanting to cause a scene, which her nosey neighbors would no doubt adore, she moved to the front door, unlocked it and flung it open.
“Get in,” she said, quickly closing the door behind him, then turning to face her unwanted visitor. “What the hell do you want?”
He held his hands up in supplication, then spoke. “Look, I know I’m probably the last person you expected to see—wanted to see—but I have to talk to you. Please?”
He adopted the puppy-dog look he’d long-since perfected. Katrina sighed.
“You’ve got five minutes. Sit down.”
They moved over to the sitting area, and Katrina deliberately sat in the chair, so Tom couldn’t sit next to her. Settling onto the end of the sofa nearest to her, he clasped his hands together, presumably to summon his courage, and began.
“Kat, I’m here to say I’m sorry, all right? I was wrong, so wrong, to finish with you the way I did and go off with Alicia.”
“She dumped you, has she?” Katrina clenched her teeth, and felt the rage beginning to build inside her. If Tom thought he could come running back to her because his bimbo had ditched him, then he had another think coming.
“No,” he said firmly, and, she suspected, honestly. “I finished with her, actually. When I realized that I wasn’t happy with her. She never made me feel the way you do, Kat. Not once. And I know, I know it’s my fault. I wanted something… different from what we had, or at least I thought I did. I couldn’t help thinking at the time that what we did was wrong, was weird. Abnormal, even. So when Alicia started flirting with me at work, I started thinking perhaps I should try for something normal. Like everybody else out there.”
He fixed her with his soulful gaze, and continued. “But I couldn’t have been more wrong. Yes, Alicia offered me normality, a vanilla relationship, but I soon discovered it couldn’t satisfy me. Sure, she could make me come in all the usual ways—”
“Ugh, I don’t want to hear this, Tom. I don’t want to hear about your sex life with someone else!”
“Sorry, Kat. Please, just let me finish?”
When she gave a curt nod, he carried on speaking.
“Alicia could make me come in all the usual ways—I am just a man, after all—but it wasn’t the same. Wasn’t as good. It wasn’t long before I started to miss you, miss what we had together, both in and out of the bedroom. I ignored it for as long as I could, forced myself to make the effort with Alicia, but it just got to the stage where I couldn’t do it anymore. Couldn’t ignore what I was, what I enjoyed, what I needed. And that’s you, Kat. I need you, and everything that goes with you.”
As a Domme, Katrina had become an expert in hiding her feelings, whether she was aroused, angry, happy, sad… it was all stuffed behind a stern facial expression. Now, though, she almost faltered. When Tom had left her, she’d remained cool and silent until the door had slammed. Then she’d broken down. She’d been deeply in love with him, and his decision had left her devastated. Months down the line, her love for him hadn’t faded, not one bit, and the fact that he was here, right now, apparently trying to get her back, was something she’d never expected. She didn’t know whether to laugh, cry or throw something at him.
She didn’t do any of those things. She kept her face straight, her thoughts whizzing through her head at a hundred miles per hour. Eventually, after letting him squirm in his seat for a minute or so, she replied. “So what exactly are you saying, Tom? What do you want?” She knew the answer, but she wanted to make him suffer, the way he had done to her after ditching her for something, someone, that could never satisfy him.

Author Spotlight Tuesday -- Markeeta Karland and Shelby Morgan
Shelby: Hey, Sean, thanks for having us! We finally finished Memphis Heat -- it’s a four books series and it’s finally DONE! Woot!
Boxers or briefs?
Shelby: Commando. And you know better than to only give me two choices!
Teeka: Boxers. cause I'm not the freak Shelby is.
Shelby: Right. And who designed our cover art?
Favorite position to write?
Shelby: Up against the wall, rattling the door with every thrust.
Teeka: My comfy recliner... *sigh* (see? She's a freak.)
Shelby: Oh! I thought you meant what positions I like to write my characters into...
Sean: actually, I did originally mean positions you like to write your characters into but the majority of people have answered it as favorite position to write in
Favorite kink to write?
Shelby: I've very fond of wolf shifters, but I'm always looking for new kink. Jarod and Belle always have a few new tricks up their sleeves!
Teeka: Hummm... I'm learning to re-appreciate vampires and vampire-like creatures. Werewolves too. I like to write shocking things. Sex acts that are kinky and unacceptable in the real world but are so cool you can't look away. :) (Ok, maybe I'm a little freaky...)
Shelby: A little????
Tattoos or piercings?
Shelby: Piercings. Six, and you'll have to get to know me better to find out where they all are. Oh wait. Did you mean my characters?
Teeka: Tatts on guys. Piercings on chicks. Unless you mean me and I have one in each ear lobe. THAT'S IT. No tatts. No plans on tatts. AT ALL. *shivers*
Shelby: We’ll see. I’ve seen you at the bar on vacation...
Cut, uncut or I love them all?
Shelby: I like the wrapping paper on, but the present's just as pretty once it's unwrapped.
Teeka: I'm good either way. :)
Shelby. Wait. Did we just agree on something?
Teeka: The world will come to an end.
Shelby: Yeah. But probably not today.
What's your favorite thing about the Memphis Heat series?
Teeka: It's totally action packed. There's intrigue, violence, and lots of sex. And werewolves. And werewolf sex...
Shelby: I love a good cop story, and I love werewolves. This is a werewolf cop story with some kick ass heroines like MPD Officer Amanda Black. Amanda is one of those take charge kind of black women who has just enough attitude to make me love her. She's a cop, and she's not afraid to use any weapon at her disposal, particularly when it comes to going after her man -- Sam Callahan, possibly the most annoying male on the planet...
Teeka: Well, him and Jarod. And Butch. And pretty much every man we've ever written. I'm sensing a pattern. Are we projecting our own men onto our heros? Well, except for the claws and muscles...
Shelby: This series was a blast to write, and I didn't once consider killing my writing partner, Teeka. And if you believe that I’ve got me some oceanfront property I’ll sell you, cheap!
Teeka: Speak for yourself. I thought about killing you daily. Still do. *rolling eyes* Course, since you're also my boss, that'd mean I wouldn't get paid, but one of these days I'll buy you out then your ass is MINE.
Shelby: (Ignores Teeka) Hey, this was fun! Thanks so much for having us. :-)

Blurb: Memphis, Tennessee. Where there’s a gun show on every street corner. When Russian wolves mark Memphis PD officers as their next targets, life gets a little too interesting. Now it looks like the Russians are moving more than just AK47s and old stockpiles of Soviet cold war ammo -- if you’ve got the money, you can always get a little more bang for your buck.
Their growing pack at their backs, the new Alpha and his bitch plan to leave their enemies in the dust. But it’s their friends they should be watching out for… when the final takedown comes, there will only be one Alpha standing.

My God it's Monday
Went to a movie this weekend -- R.I.P.D. It had a good story line and I enjoyed it. Then I watched GI Joe: Retaliation on DVD and man, that was a waste of time. Even The Rock couldn't save that one... a shame.
However, the weather was beautiful all weekend long and that made me happy. By beautiful I mean not hot and humid, but far more temperate. Even with the on and off rain yesterday.
Today I'm over on
