I have been writing my poetry for a little over eight years and taken it more and more seriously as time has gone on. About six years ago I started writing on AllPoetry.com and the community there has helped me improve and slowly find my style of writing. Early in the summer of 2010 I decided to go through my collection of around eighty poems that I had on the site and write close to eighty more selecting my favorites and creating my book. I titled my first book My Sanity because the book truly was how I have kept my sanity over the years in the writing of poetry.
