Mexican President Calls for EU-Type of Alliance Among U.S., Canada, and Mexico

Talk about tone deaf.

2016-06-29_7-53-02

Just a couple of days after U.K. voters rejected the increasingly oppressive progressive-globalist agenda of the European Union, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto is proposing his own North American multi-state alliance, saying that what is happening elsewhere in the world invites us to strengthen our strategic alliance and especially to be much more inclusive.

Nieto is presently in Canada to attend a North American leaders summit in Ottawa with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President Barack Obama, cutely dubbed the Three Amigos summit.

In an earlier tweet about the meetings, Nieto said, The purpose of this visit is to renew our bilateral relationship, to give it new life, to find ways to advance the prosperity and competitiveness of North America.

While much of the discussion is expected to center on the matter of how the three countries can work together to achieve higher standards of clean energy output, grabbing the attention of some is the expectation that the meeting will produce the announcement of something called a North American caucus designed to formally piece together how the three nations can act more as a single body on behalf of issues both regional and global. In the words of Mark Feierstein, senior director of Western Hemisphere affairs at the U.S. National Security Council, When North America acts and speaks as a single unit, it is really for the good of our citizens.

Here we go.

Trump's Most Brilliant Move Yet? Trump-Paul 2016

ChristianMoney.com has a suggestion for Donald Trump; select Rand Paul as your running mate. Yes, there has been bad blood and insults, but hasn't that been the case with Trump and every other contender? Bernie's supporters are just not satisfied with Hillary, and Sanders has still not endorsed her. Senator Rand Paul, son of retired Congressman Ron Paul, would appeal to a large segment of Bernie's supporters. Don't forget that before Bernie was filling college stadiums, Ron Paul had been doing so for years. A selection of Rand Paul would also serve to extend an a olive branch to younger voters, many of whom are presently part of the so called Never Trump movement.

Trump - Paul 2016 (1)

Like many this fall, I will not be casting a vote for Trump as a supporter, but as a vote against Hillary. Trump has us conservatives in his pocket, and I will concede that we have no other viable option. The real wildcard here is how many Democrats and independents he can move over to his column. To many, Rand Paul has even more claim to the title of outsider than Trump himself. Paul and Trump won't see eye to eye on every issue, but they are both on the same page when it comes to U.S. adventures into foreign wars, and many others as well.

Rand Paul's Major Policy Positions

Against sanctuary cities and for border enforcement
Staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment and gun rights
Pro Life
Against the war in Iraq
Reform of the tax code, including reducing or eliminating the corporate tax
Strong supporter of military and needed reform of the VA

Conventional thinking is to pick a running mate that can deliver an important state, but we think attracting orphaned Sander's supporters is an even bigger prize. This is the year for political outsiders, and Trump can double down on this theme by partnering with another outsider. That's how we see it. Agree or disagree, use the comments section below to share your own opinion.

Texas Modest Abortion Restraints Too Much for Supreme Court

Once again, conservatives are handed an important reminder about just how much is at stake in this upcoming president election.

2016-06-28_6-53-20

While pro-lifers have been making various inroads at the state level, the Obama administration and its enablers at the Supreme Court remain all-too-capable of undoing that hard work with a very modest amount of energy. To wit: todays decision by the Supreme Court in the case of Whole Womans Health v. Hellerstedt, which effectively overturned Texas HB2, signed into law in 2013 by Gov. Rick Perry.

The HB2 law requires that doctors who perform abortions must have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of their clinics. The law further requires that Texas abortion clinics meet the same standards as those demanded of walk-in surgical facilities. According to proponents, HB2 was designed to help protect the health of women seeking abortions, but critics have always believed the real purpose of the law was to make it more difficult for women to obtain abortions.

On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in a way that was in clear agreement with the aforementioned critics of HB2. Writing for the majority, Justice Stephen Breyer said, in part, that the surgical-center requirement, like the admitting privileges requirement, provides few, if any, health benefits for women, poses a substantial obstacle to women seeking abortions and constitutes an undue burden on their constitutional right to do so.

Justice Clarence Thomas authored the dissenting opinion, writing, Today the Court strikes down two state statutory provisions in all of their applications, at the behest of abortion clinics and doctors. That decision exemplifies the Courts troubling tendency to bend the rules when any effort to limit abortion, or even to speak in opposition to abortion, is at issue.

Continuing, Thomas wrote, todays decision creates an abortion exception to ordinary rules of res judicata, ignores compelling evidence that Texas law imposes no unconstitutional burden, and disregards basic principles of the severability doctrine. I write separately to emphasize how todays decision perpetuates the Courts habit of applying different rules to different constitutional rights especially the putative right to abortion.

As soon as HB2 became law, it was clear there would be significant challenges mounted to it on behalf of the abortion industry, challenges contending that the net effect of the legislation would be to force the closure of numerous abortion clinics and thus place an undue burden on a womans right to abortion.

Post-Brexit Response by EU: Creating a MORE Entrenched One-Europe Government

It appears that key member nations of the European Union are not only unfazed by the decision of U.K. voters to leave, they are set to respond in a way that will make the EU even more of a monolith.

2016-06-28_6-49-09

Germany, France and Italy met in Berlin for emergency discussions predicated on the recent Brexit vote, and what has emerged is a plan, outlined in a nine-page report, that essentially does away with any semblance of real sovereignty for remaining member nations.

The upshot of the proposals is that national militaries would be sharply curtailed, central banking run entirely by the EU, and criminal law administered under the auspices of the EU, as well.

Theres more: the matter of immigration control (or lack thereof) that is said to have played such a big part in the decision of UK voters to leave the EUwill become even more the official province of the supranational alliance.

A portion of the plans preamble reads, Our countries share a common destiny and a common set of values that give rise to an even closer union between our citizens. We will therefore strive for a political union in Europe and invite the next Europeans to participate in this venture.

For his part, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski, who got wind of the plan after it was leaked to Polish news channel TVP Info, said, This is not a good solution, of course, because from the time the EU was invented a lot has changed. The mood in European societies is different. Europe and our voters do not want to give the Union over into the hands of technocrats. Therefore, I want to talk about this, whether this really is the right recipe right now in the context of a Brexit.

Brexit Likely Means Historic Lows for Interest Rates; Will Your Credit Allow You to Benefit?

The vote may be in, but the dust has not even begun to settle on the matter of the U.K.s shocking decision to withdraw from the European Union. Financial markets around the world showed in no uncertain terms that they were rocked by the vote, with the near-term uncertainty associated with Brexit serving as the primary catalyst of all the market turmoil.

2016-06-26_8-36-25

With a global recovery already possessed of negligible forward momentum, the Brexit vote will surely sap the little there was, meaning that even greater economic softness will rule the day for the time being. One of the silver linings of this pronounced weakness is the distinct possibility of even lower mortgage interest rates than those in evidence up to this point in 2016.

While many analysts still see rates coming off their historic lows by years end, that still leaves several months of unbelievably low interest rates from which prospective home buyers, refinancers, and consumers of other big ticket items can benefitif they have enough good credit.

Is that you?

If it is not, you might want to learn more about a straightforward, easy-to-use, computer-based program designed to help those who are credit challenged to remedy their credit-related problems: Credit Repair Magic.

Several excellent resources make up the entire Credit Repair Magic package, but the centerpiece of the program is the Bad Credit Eliminator feature. The Bad Credit Eliminator is the highly-actionable program that walks you, step-by-step, through the entire process of cleaning up your credit. However, addressing negative items on your report is just one part of your overall credit picture. Other resources in Credit Repair Magic discuss a wide variety of other credit-relevant issues, including the importance of proper debt utilization (the amount of available credit that youre actually using), the kinds of loans that actually reflect more favorably on your credit, and even why it is may be best, at times, to leave some negative items on your credit report.

So, what do you receive in your Credit Repair Magic package? A bunch. What follows is just a brief overview of all that is contained in Credit Repair Magic, because to detail and explain all of the features would take up pages and pages:

The Credit Repair Magic Bad Credit Eliminator. A trademarked process for restoring your credit quickly and easily.

The Credit Repair Magic Seven Shortcuts to Success Guidebook. This material is particularly valuable when you are looking to qualify in a hurry for a home or auto loan. It presents targeted strategies to help you to improve your score even faster.

The Credit Repair Magic Solving the Credit Puzzle Reference Guide. A terrific resource131 pages packed with a mountain of information on the subject of credit repair. This resource, by itself, is worth much of the cost of the entire Credit Repair Magic program.

The Credit Repair Solving the Credit Puzzle Reference Guide - Express Version. A condensed, easily-digested, 36-page version of the full reference guide, when you need to go back and hit the high points of the full reference guide but dont have time at the moment to dig through the more substantial version.

Lifetime access to any and all upgrades/additions made to the comprehensive Credit Repair Magic program.

Credit Repair Magic contains additional bonus materials, as well, but lets talk about some other great features. For one thing, there is the excellent support available from the program architect. To begin with, you receive unlimited email support during the first 60 days of your paid access. This is particularly important, because it is typically during this period when you will have the greatest number of questions about what it is youre doing as you work your way to better credit. Whats more, even after the first 60 days, the folks at Credit Repair Magic will continue to entertain your questions on a discretionary basis for an unlimited period of time, as circumstances arise in your credit repair journey that you feel are in need of some extra attention.

In addition to all of this, you enjoy the rock-solid protection that comes with the products accompanying 60-day, money-back guarantee. Unbelievably, this means you can get right to work using the full resources of Credit Repair Magic, including the unlimited email support, and if at any time during the first two months you decide this is not for you, you can still get all of your money back.

Rehabilitating credit to the healthiest level possible may be the single most important step any of us takes in the realm of consumer finance, and one that is imperative to you realizing the best available loan rates, such as the ones were likely to see for a while in the wake of the Brexit vote. George Will Says the Embrace of Trump Has Officially Driven Him from the Republican Party

High-profile conservative political pundit George Will has decided that hes had enough of a Republican Party that would have Donald Trump as its standard-bearer.

2016-06-26_8-29-36

In a speech to the gathered at a Federalist Society luncheon in Washington, DC on Friday, Will said flatly, This is not my party.

Following the speech, Will spoke briefly with the online news outlet PJ Media (PJM), and advised Republican voters, Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House. Wills implication is that four years of Hillary Clinton, following eight years of Obama, will so sour the Republican base that they will surely do what he sees as the right thing and nominate a true, textured conservative in 2020 around which all party members can rally, and win back the White House.

Will, who gets around the media circles as a Washington Post writer as well as a regular contributor over at FOX News, told PJM that he has officially switched his voter registration in Maryland from Republican to unaffiliated.

According to Will, a Trump administration working hand in hand with a Republican Congress would be much worseas in, do more damagethan a President Hillary Clinton forced to contend with a Republican-led Congress at every turn.

Will has been particularly critical of Trumps White House run this year, referring to the Donald as a real amateur in politics during a recent appearance on FOX News.

Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions on Brexit: Now Its Our Time

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., in a statement on the stunning Brexit vote, said the decision of the U.K.s citizens to take a giant step back away from the seemingly-relentless forces of greater globalization is Americas cue to do the same.

2016-06-25_7-48-31

Said Sessions, Now its our time. The period of the nation state has not ended. No far off global government or union can command the loyalty of a people like their own country. Vague unions have no ability to call on the people to sacrifice for the common good. They seem incapable of making decisions and when they do, they have difficulty executing the decision.

Far better to celebrate the wonder and proven worth of good nation states and to work hard to use that foundation to build harmonious political and trading relations among the nations. This is the best basis for peace and prosperity.

In Washington, Sen. Sessions is principally known for his role as senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, but he has also been gaining traction as an overt political operative in the camp of Donald Trump, serving the presumptive GOP presidential nominee in the capacity of chairman of his Foreign Policy Advisory Committee.

For his part, Trump said of the vote, I said this was going to happen, and I think that it's a great thing. Basically they took back their country.

The European Union is essentially the product of the Second World War. After the massive conflict, key European establishment figures of political and intellectual persuasions came together to begin the process of creating an organization of regional countries designed to enhance peace and prosperity in no small way by enhancing borderlessness. In recent years, however, the citizens of key member states, like the U.K., have grown acutely weary of the decisions made in Brussels, Belgium (home to the EUs principal components, like its parliament) that have had a deleterious effect on their own well-being; it is generally understood, for example, that liberal EU immigration policies played a big part in prompting many U.K. citizens to vote to leave the EU. More broadly, over 50 percent of the rules and laws that now govern Britain originate at the EUalthough that is, apparently, now going to change.

5 Free Ways To Learn Computer Programming

You don't have to be very observant to realize that the world is changing.  Factories are closing down and the world of computing is mushrooming.  If you look at where the growth in jobs is, technology is right there at the top of the list. For those of us that were not born into a tech savvy world, it is easy to resort to the cop out of not being a 'computer person.' What I find interesting, however, is that many of the same people that have opted out of the world of technology seem to be adventurous and willing to learn in other areas.  In this week's article I want to share with you a personal goal that I have for 2016 and invite you to join me.

Many of you know that for several years now I have been immersed in the tech world by way of Internet marketing and website development.  As a result, I have had the wonderful opportunity to learn to how develop websites. I have always had the interest in learning more about computer programming. I took a single computer programming elective in college and was introduced to basic (a programming language for beginners).  My final project was to write cash register program.  The program had to calculate totals, create change, and keep a drawer balance.  It sounds complicated, but it was surprisingly easy to write (even for me).

I saw this amazing video last week (below) and it inspired me to make this my year to learn JavaScript.

Learning to code (aka programming) is much like learning a new langauge; the language of the future.  The earnings potential for someone with computer programming skills can be enormous (easily into the six figures).  Check out these amazing testimonials.

5 Free Ways To Learn Computer Programming

1.  Code.Org

Code.org is a non-profit organization on a crusade to introduce computer programming to the masses.  They have a very simple proposition; learn an hour of code.  After the free one hour tutorial, they also provide learning opportunities for those that want to go further.

2.  Massachussetts Institute Of Technology

Yes, MIT is providing free computer programming classes online (who knew?).

3.  Udacity

Udacity offers a number of free online computer programming classes, like this one on Java.

4.  The Code Player

The Code Player  is a social sharing site that provides a platform for people to teach others a variety of computer programming skills.  Once you become knowledgable, you can even create videos of your own to teach others.

5. Code Academy

Code Academy is another robust platform offering free lessons on computer programming.

Even though it did not make our top five, another site to mention that is very straightforward and easy to use is LearnJavaOnline.org. The site is sponsored by American Public University and is a great starting point for those that want to experiment with some beginning programming.

You Can Make Serious Money As A Programmer

Average Computer Programmer Yearly Salary in the United States. Computer Programmers earn a median salary of $79,530 per year. Salaries typically start from $44,450 and go up to $130,800 (Source: Sokanu.com).

You Don't Have To Live In California

One thing I often hear when I mention this idea is that they don't want to live in California. The programming industry is changing, and you could very well find a job as a programmer in your present location. The map below illustrates how programming jobs are spread out from coast to coast.

Screenshot (16)

No excuses, this is your year to learn something new.  There are so many opportunities out there for people that are willing to get a modest amount of education.  I love online learning, since I can do it at my own pace, and much of it is free or very low cost.  Share your own ideas on this topic in the comments section below and we can start a conversation.
