Is the Tide Actually Turning? Trump Now Ahead in the Battleground State of Ohio

As Election Day draws closer, and Hillary���s troubles now take center stage while Trump���s difficulties appear more comfortably in the rearview mirror, the lock Clinton once supposedly had on the White House just a relative handful of weeks ago is no more���and, as a matter of fact, there is now real evidence that a substantial change in momentum is taking place.

In two battleground states, Ohio and Florida, Trump has gained significant ground recently, to the point where, among likely voters, he is now ahead in Ohio, 46% to 41%, and even with Clinton in Florida, according to the latest CNN/ORC poll. As a matter of fact, the numbers say Trump is leading Clinton in Florida among likely voters, 47% to 44%, but because the poll has a 3.5 percentage point margin of error, the survey results in Florida are said to have Trump and Clinton in a statistical dead heat right now.

CNN���s write-up of its own poll mentions the striking turnaround in poll standings between the two major party candidates in just the last month. Election surveys in the days following the Democratic National Convention saw Clinton enjoying not-insignificant leads on both a state-by-state basis, as well as nationally. However, there is no question that the race has greatly tightened since then; according to CNN, in addition to the CNN/ORC poll numbers already discussed, results of a Bloomberg

Politics poll of Ohio voters released this past Wednesday revealed a five-point lead for Trump, and survey results from Quinnipiac University published last week saw Trump ahead by four points in Ohio, and the race even in Florida.

Missouri Becomes Fourth State This Year to Approve Gun Carry Without a Permit

Bam!

While Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D) did what everyone expected and vetoed a bill that would allow ���Constitutional,��� or permitless, gun carry in his state, the legislature was able to successfully override said veto, and now law-abiding Missouri residents will soon be able to not just keep, but bear, arms in the manner clearly intended by the Second Amendment.

While the securing of permitless carry is significant in and of itself, the way in which it was ultimately achieved, via an override in the face of a wave of pressure by a variety of Missouri media outlets, should be seen as profound, as well.

Gun Owners of America���s executive director, Erich Pratt, clearly overjoyed at the news, issued a press release, saying, ���This is a fantastic day. Four states have adopted permitless carry this year.  So Missouri���s action in overriding the Governor���s veto brings the total number of states with Constitutional Carry to twelve.���

The other 11 states that presently allow carry without a permit are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Montana, Vermont, Wyoming, and West Virginia.

In his press release, Pratt hit right at the heart of the gun debate when he said, ���Law-abiding citizens should not have to ask for permission to exercise a constitutionally-protected right. That���s the beauty of Constitutional Carry, it honors the Second Amendment which says the right to keep and BEAR arms ���shall not be infringed.������

To anyone���s knowledge, the right to keep and bear enshrined in the Second Amendment is the only constitutionally-protected right that has been allowed to be regularly disregarded by a seemingly-countless number of local jurisdictions, a large number of states, and even by the federal government.

Ex-Secret Service Agent Who Guarded Hillary Says She���s in Bad Shape

Tired yet of hearing all about Hillary���s health? If you are, I have some bad news - there���s lots more to come.

It isn���t just the right-wing conspiracy theorists who now spend copious amounts of time on their various new media platforms fueling a lot of the Hillary health chatter. Yes, there are plenty of people on the ���alt-right��� who are all too eager to take even the smallest twitch or cough and turn it into something much more sinister, but the real reason this topic is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future, is simply because the Democratic nominee for president just doesn���t look well.

I mentioned the other day that the scene of her being helped into a van as she departed a 9/11 memorial ceremony appeared to be indicative of something besides lightheadedness associated with walking pneumonia, or some such thing. The body movements she evidenced, visible to us all, looked frighteningly bad, as though she was in the midst of some kind of seizure.

Sure enough, Gary Byrne, a former member of the Secret Service who had the job of protecting Hillary for years, has analyzed the video footage of Clinton leaving the 9/11 ceremony for the Mirror Online and said that not only Clinton���s behavior in the moment, but that of her security detail, is highly suggestive of the idea that she was in the midst of a genuine seizure.

Here is Byrne, in his own words, as he is reviewing the footage:

���Her posture is very rigid - she's almost back on her heels and if you watch, her head actually lifts up and you can see this rigid posture.

���Clearly the two staff members - one standing behind the other - the front one is clearly still controlling Mrs. Clinton.

���The shift leader, the bald guy, walks right in front of Mrs. Clinton.

���Now typically the shift leader or agent would never walk in front of the protectee as they're getting into a vehicle, because you're blocking their path.

���But the reason he is doing it is because he knows she can't move under her own power.

���He's going to come around and he's going to take her right arm - and watch what happens to Mrs. Clinton.

���It's sad to watch but she starts to fall and of course they catch her."

Mr. Byrne also suggests that the posture of Clinton���s security detail throughout telegraphs that they expected something like this to happen.

Bradley/Chelsea Manning Sex Change Surgery to Go Forward, Courtesy of the U.S. Taxpayer

Bradley Manning, the U.S. Army soldier now sitting in prison as Chelsea Manning, ended up behind bars in 2013 after being convicted on charges related to her illegal transmission of nearly 750,000 sensitive military and diplomatic documents to Wikileaks.

Now, the disgraced Manning, whose personal battle with gender identity prompted her to legally change her name from Bradley to Chelsea in April 2014, has been given the green light to go all the way with a change of sex; the U.S. Army has approved her request for gender transition surgery.

According to ABC News, Manning had begun a hunger strike last week in response to the Army���s refusal to allow her surgery, but she terminated that effort and thanked the military for doing ���the right thing��� upon its decision to permit the procedure. Releasing a statement through her lawyers, Manning said, ���I applaud them for that. This is all that I wanted -- for them to let me be me. But it is hard not to wonder why it has taken so long.���

���Also, why were such drastic measures needed? The surgery was recommended in April 2016. The recommendations for my hair length were back in 2014. In any case, I hope this sets a precedent for the thousands of trans people behind me hoping they will be given the treatment they need.���

Michael Savage Hacked: Personal Enemies List Exposed

Well, I guess in a world where it is OK to ignore a Congressional subpoena and lie to the FBI, no one will be all that upset if the headline for this article is a half-truth. Michael Savage has not been hacked (as far as I know), but it is true that his entire enemies list has just been made public. Yup...just like Richard Nixon, the talk show host banned by the United Kingdom and Fox News has an enemies list of his own. You won���t have to go to Wikileaks to see the list, but you will find it in his latest book, Scorched Earth - Restoring The Country After Obama. As I see it, there is a stroke of brilliance at play in making a list of one���s enemies and studying it.

Savage artfully shares with the reader the extremes to which the left will go to destroy America as we know it. His title, Scorched Earth, is a tailor-made metaphor for the tactics of today���s progressives. As a political observer myself, I know that liberals will attempt to win at any and all costs; they operate with no moral or legal boundaries. While conservatives fight as gentlemen in accordance with the Marquis of Queensberry rules, the left is comprised of bare-knuckled brawlers. This is why Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Glenn Beck all fall short of being effective advocates in today���s culture war.

The book contains seemingly-countless examples of the wake of destruction left by Obama and his band of progressive brothers. Perhaps the most poignant for me was Savage���s heart-wrenching commentary on the January 2016 capture of ten U.S. sailors by Iran. In the chapter titled ���Our Shame,��� he shines a spotlight on the humiliation of the incident, and most notably, the forced apology that was videotaped by the Iranians and released to news outlets worldwide. In this same chapter, you will also find a riveting transcript of a call to Savage���s show from a listener by the name of Bert. This caller shared the most credible version of events I have read to date about what really happened in Benghazi. No surprise, Savage���s calls are mostly unfiltered and ���Bert��� may have blown the lid off the largest cover-up since Watergate.

Savage has told his listeners that Scorched Earth will be his last political book. If, indeed, this is his last, its message for conservatives is unequivocally clear on where we are at, what���s at stake in the coming weeks, and what we can do about it.

U.S. Civil Rights Commission Chairman: ���Religious Liberty��� is Code for Discrimination, Intolerance��

In what is surely a disturbing bit of news for a great many Americans, The Christian Post is reporting that Martin R. Castro, chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, wrote in a report recently issued by the Commission that phrases like ���religious liberty��� are really just code words, dog whistles, what have you���for bigotry.

In the 300-plus page report, Peaceful Coexistence: Reconciling Nondiscrimination Principles with Civil Liberties, which came out this past Thursday, Castro writes that ���the phrases 'religious liberty' and 'religious freedom' will stand for nothing except hypocrisy so long as they remain code words for discrimination, intolerance, racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, Christian supremacy or any form of intolerance.���

The president and founder of the Civil Rights Research Center, Brian Walsh, told The Christian Post on Friday, that ���the majority's report is yet another extreme claim that the civil rights and liberties that religious Americans of all faiths have long enjoyed must be eliminated or restricted to accommodate new and emerging rights.���

���It betrays a polarizing mindset that, whenever new rights are in tension with rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, the new rights must always trump.���

When asked by The Christian Post if he thought it possible that some middle ground might be achieved between social progressives and those seeking to preserve the ���religious freedom��� that people like Castro find so offensive, Walsh replied, ���The primary obstacles are powerful voices who feel they have the upper hand and can achieve a scorched earth political victory that gains them everything they want. No one in America is entitled to a scorched earth victory.���

���Our system includes checks and balances and guarantees fundamental civil rights such as religious liberty. These safeguards exist to prevent whoever currently has the greatest political power from retaliating against others.���

Although a majority of the commissioners stood with Castro, not all did. One, Gail Heriot, former dean at George Mason University School of Law (now Antonin Scalia Law School), dissented from the opinion of the majority as reflected by the report, telling The Washington Times that she is ���troubled by the growing attitude that somehow anti-discrimination laws trump everything.���

U.S. Think Tank: Australia���s Property Market Just Weeks Away from Collapse

Well, THIS doesn���t sound good.

The International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that specializes in both national and international security, as well as strategic policy, has issued a dire warning about the Australian property market that is really quite extraordinary.

According to the Daily Mail Online, the ISSA has declared that, in just six short weeks, the real property market in the ���land down under��� will come crashing down if the country does not immediately alter course with respect to recent banking changes it made for the purpose, ironically enough, of trying to avoid the very collapse it���s now facing.

The root of the problem, according to the ISSA, lies in new regulations that now make it more difficult for foreign investors to secure financing from Aussie banks. The Australian government, concerned over the growing number of its citizens finding themselves priced out of the housing market entirely because of foreign investment activity, made the changes so that the purchase of real property by non-Australians would become much tougher.

Well, the effort seems to have worked, but perhaps it belongs in the category of ���be careful what you wish for.��� In their analysis, the ISSA has determined that since the door has been largely slammed shut on foreign buyers in Australia, the near-term fallout from the effects of the resulting drop-off in activity includes a massive collapse of the Australia property market, overall.

Bryan Pagliano defies subpoena to avoid testifying on Clinton emails - Washington Times

This story shows the farce that Congressional investigations have become. If they can't enforce a subpoena, they have no authority to do anything. It makes me really wonder how much of this is for show and what 'justice system' we really have anymore. If any of us 'deplorables' tried any of the stunts that Hillary has to hide her e mail debacle, we would be in jail.

David Shuster: DNC May Look at Replacing Hillary

Several days ago, I wrote about what may happen if a nominee of one of the two major parties could not continue to Election Day. The ���first-line��� option involves hand-picked replacement by either the Republican or Democratic National Committees���and now it appears as though that possibility might well become a reality in light of the troubles the Democrats are having with their clearly-ailing standard-bearer, Hillary Clinton.

According to Gateway Pundit, veteran reporter David Shuster, who has been an anchor at MSNBC and spent time over at Fox News and CNN, as well, tweeted out on Sunday night that Democratic Party ���operatives��� told him that an ���emergency meeting��� of the Democratic National Committee was expected to take place so that they might ���consider��� the possibility of replacing Hillary Clinton as the party���s nominee for president.

Shuster reported the following day that if Clinton ���withdraws,��� the DNC is expected to replace her with Vice President Joe Biden.

While the last 24 or so hours have seen the worry over Hillary���s health die down slightly, there remains real concern about her immediate future as a candidate, and growing concern about her ability to serve if she were to prevail in November���s general election. While the bizarre scene featuring her early departure from a 9/11 memorial ceremony has been attributed to symptoms of pneumonia, many observers are questioning that explanation, given how entirely fragile she looked in the moment.

Not helping her case was the decision to cancel, outright, an upcoming trip to California. As anyone who has had pneumonia can attest, particularly the ���walking��� type that Clinton appears to have, while the symptoms can certainly present a challenge, they don���t usually prove debilitating���except in the most serious of cases���to the degree evidenced by Clinton as she departed the 9/11 ceremony.

Chicago Resident Pays Out of His Own Pocket for Private Security to Keep Neighborhood Safe

So this is what it has come to in Chicago.

CBS Chicago is reporting that one city resident, De Mudd, is now paying out of pocket for private security to patrol his Chicago neighborhood.

Mudd has started hiring off-duty Chicago cops to serve as security patrols at the 1100 block of North LaSalle. He made the decision to go this extraordinary route after finally reaching a breaking point with regard to the criminal activity taking place in his ���backyard.���

As he puts it, ���I���ve been watching my neighborhood deteriorate over the last couple of years.���

One of the police Mudd pays to serve as private security, Howard Greer, sees a great deal of benefit in what Mudd is doing, saying, ���It���s like a supplement, supplement to crime fighting, supplement to police department. I think it���s very effective.���

One problem with the approach, however, is that it is not cheap. According to Mudd, he���s paid about $5,000 just since the middle of August. However, he plans to stay with the effort, saying, ���I have the means. I���ve been very fortunate.���

Another, bigger problem is that, ultimately, it is no more than a very isolated solution to a serious city-wide problem. Mudd puts it this way: ���I have solved the problem for my neighborhood, but what I���ve done is I���ve just pushed the problem to another street corner in Chicago. That���s not the results that we, as citizens, should be looking for.���
