I'm going to a comic convention today, and I'm just curious, but have you ever written Cass (Cain) or Steph, and if so, do you know which comic and possibly which issue?

I wrote Cass a couple times, just brief cameos. I did a poor job the first time based on the research I was sent and it’s bugged me ever since. The second time was better. Steph, I think I had only a small cameo. All these appearances were in Bop, and were short enough that I wouldn’t call them guest appearances, sadly.

I would kill to write Cass again and do it right, in particular.

@TBranch56 so i just realized theres one more member for this that’d make the team even more perfect. scandal savage

Yeah, I guess so! Well played, Anka. But I refuse to be one-upped!! hahahaha! Time to add Gail Simone into this mix, yes?

Thank the comic gods that I made all of them individual files.

That right there could never be a comic because the sex appeal of that group would melt the pages before they could be shipped to stores.

I never got to really write the Joker before the current story.

So that’s a lot of years at being pissed off at him for screwing with Barbara.

I may have unleashed on him a little bit.

What is carpetbagging, and how would you cosplaying be that?

I just meant that cosplaying is an art and the people who do it are mostly very dedicated and they work hard at it.

I wouldn’t want to just jump in and get footprints all over everything.

Besides, I’m sure I’d be terrible at it. I’m happy just to admire their efforts!

Very little has been said about The Movement. Can you tell us if this deals with the existing DC universe and characters or a whole new set of characters? I'm curious as to how (if at all) it relates to the other books/characters. Can this book please star

Catman has been on my mind a lot lately…;)

I can’t say much about the MOVEMENT yet.

But someone’s coming back from the bench.

I’m going to say right now it is NOT Cassie or Steph, I only say that because I don’t want to give people false hope.

But it’s a character I love!

Do you think we will ever see a male gay hero as important and widely known as DC's Big Six? The kind that has merchandize and appears in cartoons?

It’s hard for ANY new character to match Superman and Batman.

But a gay male hero could easily be a breakout star, there just needs to be enough effort from creators and enough support from retailers and publishers and readers.

Comics has only been a serious hobby of mine for a couple years, but I've been reading a lot of doom and gloom prophecies about the comic industry lately. It makes me a little anxious, but I really don't know how much credibility to give it. Is this a new

People have been predicting the end of comics since the 40’s. I just read the book MARVEL: THE UNTOLD STORY and it talked about how everyone constantly thought it was all over.

DC just had a tremendous year, Marvel’s having a real turnaround, it looks like, many independents are doing huge business, the bookstore and digital and overseas markets are all about growth, Walking Dead is doing phenomenal business…

I think we’re in the best shape in a LONG time.

I understand that you are out to destroy traditional marriage and deep dish pizza. Where do you stand on my right to traditional marriage to a deep dish pizza?

I’m against it because it’s a slippery slope that could lead to people marrying Buffalo wings.

I'm an unpublished writer in a relationship and I feel like my partner doesn't understand how I need my space/time to do my work. I find it difficult to communicate. Any suggestions on what I should do?

You just have to find a way to be firm about it. What’s your partner’s job, would they like it if you came and interrupted them there?

We actually had to make a rule, if my office door is closed, I’m working.  Most people don’t have an office, but some physical sign that you are on the clock might help. Also, removing yourself from the location when possible might be necessary.

People don’t realize how disruptive it is to stop someone when they are on a roll, writing. My mother in law used to call and gossip sad news about people I don’t even know, and it would take forever to get back to where I could write funny dialogue. You can’t let people steal your time like that.

You have to convey how important this is to you. It’s not a hobby, it’s a career, it’s a calling. It takes effort. You need their help, and the best help they can give is letting you work.

Good luck.
