Hello, followers!

If you were following me back in August or July, you might have remembered when I posted some meta about Batgirl, how DC treats female characters, and how Gail Simone chose to write Babs in the New 52. Well, that post really started making the rounds and you may also remember…

Bleah, it’s my fault, just a misunderstanding. I sincerely apologize…it wasn’t the criticism I objected to, it was the characterization of the event. But it’s completely unimportant and thank you so much for the kind words.

Let me clarify just a couple quick things—I don’t have a retinue, those were just people who came out of the panel I was just on at the same time I did, including Kurt Busiek. The only retinue-type was my husband and he’s kind of stuck with me. :)

And I’m glad he found you guys…it was clear to me that you felt bad about the previous encounter which is not what I wanted at all, I felt terrible, so I thought it would be nice to send out some comics for you guys to say NO WORRIES, YOU ARE STILL WONDERFUL.

Also, you guys looked amazing—Girl Nightwing, Batgirl, and Black Widow, three of my favorites! I put your photo up as my avatar on Twitter!

Thanks for taking the time to speak to me and sorry if I was in a rush to get back to my table, I’d been away from it all morning and was feeling pretty anxious in case people were waiting (which they were).

See you guys at ECCC?

Will we need to have read Batgirl 17 and 18 before reading 19?

I don’t think you HAVE to, but I thought issue 18 was quite good!

waah, because I can't only make comic trips every 300 hundred years I'm way behind on your Batgirl (and its MY FAVORITE). When would be a good idea to jump in, I left on issue #13. Or should I just wait for Volume 3 to drop by??

I think jumping back on with 14 is a good plan, or you could jump back with 17 and 18, which are guest issues written by Ray Fawkes, but DEFINITELY BE BACK BY 19. Serious.  :)

It Is Entirely Possible...

…that I will be announcing a new project at Emerald City Comicon that I am enjoying working on so much it IS RIDICULOUS.

Also, the artists, my god, the artists!  :)

Coolness!

My second volume of Batgirl is the number two spot on the New York Times Graphic Novel Bestseller List. Woot!

I will get you yet, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League!  :)
