I love that DC Comics has been introducing (and re-branding, in some cases) a whole host of new superhero characters that are not white. But I have to wonder, why are so many of their faces covered entirely?

To be fair, keeping one’s face protected whilst battling supervillains with toxic…

It IS important, and I did ask that Strix’s arms be bare to show that she is African American.

But yeah, faces need to be shown. Agreed 100%.

I decided that I’d take part of this whole Misfit day, by… well, drawing Misfit.

Being Easter Sunday here and all, I had to rush it (which means there was no chance of finding a scanner or replacing my tired old inks…)

I haven’t really read much to do with Misfit aside from a few cameos in Teen Titans (and even then I wished she was a mainstay) so when I saw this beautiful character all over my dash, I thought wow. Here is a character that demands respect. So hopefully I have gave it. :)

Wow„ another gorgeous drawing!

Caped art for Capril! Today’s hero is Misfit, as it is Misfit Day!

Go to the Capril website to learn more about Capril, and don a cape to help raise awareness about depression and anxiety, and help lose the stigma of mental illness.

(Go here to request a cape-themed sketch!)

GORGEOUS!

Today’s the day!!

The day we celebrate Gotham’s Batgirl-loving, motorcycle-bouncing, Daaark Vengeaaance-dispensing heroine, Misfit!!

Misfit was created by Gail Simone and worked her way into our hearts during Birds of Prey.

Eager to please, set to 11, and SUCH A TEENAGER! But highly…

Thank you to Happy Sorceress for this fantastic celebration of MISFIT!

Misfit

“Misfit Day” is today Sunday 7th of April. Contribute to this day by doing fanart of this awesome character.

I first wanted to redesign her outfit but this time I just rebuilt her body and reshaped her a bit, I think this body suits her best.

Thank you Gail Simone for creating her! I hope she makes a comeback anytime soon (hopefully with no new dc52 redesign, oh god no)

ADORBS!  Happy International Misfit Day!

You've mentioned your love for John and Kyle a lot but is there any reason why NOT Hal Jordan? I know you once said you just "don't get it" in regards to him and Barry but is there anything beyond that?

I just…I like Hal and Barry and Ray Palmer okay, but I just find them a little stiff in comparison to Kyle and John, Wally, and, well, I found Ray stiff in comparison to ANYTHING including a table leg.
