13TH STREET Launches

Today, July 7, sees the release of books 1-3 of my 13TH STREET series from the new HarperChapters imprint of HarperCollins, a sort of Latinx Stranger Things for kids ages 5-9. These chapter books focus on three cousins (Malia, Dante and Ivan) who find themselves fighting strange creatures in a spooky, alternate world.

Perfect for young fans of other silly and spooky chapter book series like Eerie Elementary and Notebooks of Doom.

Starred Review for Halfling King

Kirkus has give Rise of the Halfling King a starred review!

“An unmissable adventure of mythical proportions,” they call it.

Huge congratulations to my illustrator (and daughter) Charlene Bowles, and much love and respect to our publisher, Cinco Puntos Press, who had the idea of creating a series of graphic novels adapting key myths and legends from my book Feathered Serpent, Dark Heart of Sky.
