Great New Review for Lust After Death

"Open LUST AFTER DEATH and enter a futuristic world where technology has allowed the creation of a unique breed of reanimated beings brought to life after death.  I have never been a big fan of zombies and certainly not one to entertain mixing them with romance. However, Daisy Harris's corpses are far from the average rotting flesh that graces films such as Night of the Living Dead. Ms. Harris has developed a brilliant universe where technology has found a cure of sorts for death. This fast paced read is full of action, sensuality, and zombie goodness. I definitely look forward … Continue reading →

Typos, Convenience, and the Cell Phone Paradox

My name is Daisy Harris, and I'm addicted to reading on my cell phone. Yeah, I own a Nook. Much as it pains me to say it, I also used to own a Kindle. (I didn't have a Kindle and Nook at the same time, though. That would have been ridiculous.) However, much as I prefer reading on my Nook Color, I always reach for the device that's convenient—the one in my pocket or backpack. This has gotten me thinking about convenience, and how important it is to readers and consumers. See, as an author, I feel a lot of … Continue reading →

Sample Sunday: Built 4 It

Lately, I've been fascinated by unusual sex acts. No—not weird and freaky things you'd be scared to open on YouTube. What interests me are the things that you wouldn't think would be erotic, but are. In that vein, I provide you with a totally out-of-context snippet from my upcoming release, Built 4 It. * * * * * Ben clamped a hand over the door to hold it closed. "Hold on! The floor's still wet in here." Willing his sex to shrink, Ben dropped to his knees in front of Kee's cage. He mopped the semen from the floor. Then, … Continue reading →

Final Stop: Lust After Death Blog Tour!!

One last look at the cover. This is my favorite cover of all my book so far!

I've officially finished my first-ever blog tour! Hope you guys have had a great time following along and that you've enjoyed the excerpts and posts. In the next week or two, I'll be notifying the winners of the various giveaways and sending out your books!

Comment below to be entered into my mailing list. I don't send out newsletters often, but when I do, they always link to free reads or free first chapters of new books. :)

Also, I'll choose FIVE commenters to get a FREE COPY of my next Love-Bots novella, Built4It! Book three is a male-male story. With any luck, it should be out by early December.

In honor of my male-male Love-Bots: Dudes Kissing!

To give you a taste, here's the opening:

"He's starting to look like a gorilla." Lab assistant Ben Speiger spun back and forth on his stool in the cage room of Built4 Laboratories. His fingers in their rubber gloves beat a nervous tune on the counter. "Should he be so…developed?"

The re-animated human inside the right-most cage hung from the bars on the roof of his cell. He lifted his body over and over again in a rough approximation of pull-ups. The stein, as re-animated humans were called, dropped to the floor and growled.

His muscles stood out, damp and enormous under his thin, blue hospital scrubs. It was oddly sexy. Odd because while the stein was built like a porn star, he was also undead.

In the cage next to him, five more steins mulled near the wall close to their leader. The room contained ten cages total—one for the huge stein, six housing 3–5 inmates, and three that were empty.

Built4 Labs re-animated corpses to serve as control samples for medical studies. They shipped to research facilities all over the Northwest. However, most of this batch had passed their "sell-by" date.

One stein hooted at their leader and the other spoke the short name they'd given him, "Kee." All the lab's steins seemed to turn to that one when they were upset. When hungry or frightened, they eased in the direction of the stein alone in the far right cage, cooing for a smile or a nod of encouragement.

Every time they did, Ben felt even crappier about his job.

Don't forget to comment below for a chance to win Built4It when it releases!

Thanks for following!

Work-in-Progress Quote of the Day

"It didn't matter if he sucked like an uncoordinated sea lion and fucked like a freshman on acid. I wouldn't be able to quit him. Because in that kiss he owned me."

"Bad Boys Guide to Mermen" Opening

I've gotten some questions on Twitter about my current work in progress, Bad Boys' Guide to Mermen. So I thought I'd share with you the story's opening in order to lay some things to rest. Granted, this may raise more questions than it answers. However, I'm in the mood to be a big, fat tease. :)

* * * * *

Chapter One

The first thing to know about mermen is that they have penises. People get confused. They wonder how mermen manage to swim with a length of meat hanging off their front. (And I do mean "length." The guys are seriously endowed. Well, at least mine is.)

However, I'm getting ahead of myself. You're probably wondering, "What the fuck, Jamie? When would you have even seen a merman, much less had a chance to look at his package?" You'd have a good point.

I didn't believe it myself at first either, so I should start at the beginning. That way you can get all the filthy details. Yeah sure, it may be more information than you really hoped to hear, but if you didn't want to read anymore you could stop, couldn't you? No one's forcing you to read about merman cock.

You got here yourself, so don't say I didn't warn you…

4.5 Star Review from Sensual Reads for Studenstein!

Daisy Harris takes the reader along on a very bumpy and laugh filled ride on the zombie underground railroad to freedom.  The Zombie Underground wants to free the slaves created from the dead.  Corporations use the reanimated corpses as assassins and sex slaves.  Shani lived through hell before her rescue by ZU and wants to share her freedom with others.  Royce believes he is happy with his life, but discovers flaws in that contentment as he journeys toward freedom with Shani.  This is an action packed love story that will keep the reader breathless.

Read it all!

Impromptu Six Sentence Sunday: Bad Girls Guide to Mermen

I just started writing this story today on a hunger-induced whim. (This stomach flu thing is a great diet tool!) Anyway, I'm loving the concept. Here's a tiny taste.

You're probably wondering, "What the fuck, Sally? When would you have even seen a merman, much less had a chance to look at his package?" You'd have a good point.
